“That backyard! My baby works for door dash and Uber when he rides with me sometimes and he needs to stretch and play. So seeing Artesha 's backyard full of toys, a lil pool, and a big enough space for him to play was a bonus. But nothing matters more to me than for him to get to socialize with other fur babies. Artesha has a ZOO lol jp! I fell in love with all of her fur babies putting me at ease while I worked. They are very friendly and very sweet. Artesha accommodated all of my requests and last minute request. Provides communication and pictures. Thank you for opening up your home to Quwwa and I.”

“My dog sitter cancelled last minute. Brineydi responded quickly and ensured me Midnight was adjusting well. Although, it was for a few hours she send pictures and kept me updated. I would book with her again in the future.”

“Sarah did a great job again with Diego. She provided many photo and video updates during the day and it is clear to see how much of a dog lover she is and how well she treats every animal she is looking after. We will continue to use Sarah for our pet sitting needs ☺️”

“Brijana is the best sitter I could have hoped to find! She is incredibly responsive, reliable and experienced with little furry critters. I feel so confident leaving my little one in her hands! ”

About: Hi! I'm a lifelong dog lover with hands on experience raising five dogs from puppies all the way through adulthood. Because I've gone through every stage, from potty training and teething to obedience work and senior care, I'm comfortable with dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I currently have a German Shorthaired Pointer (GSP) who is 6 months old that I've raised since she was just 13 weeks old. She's incredibly sweet, well socialized, and gets along great with other dogs. She's also a great role model for younger pups and helps make introductions smooth and positive. Whether your dog loves playtime, long walks, cuddles on the couch, or just needs a reliable routine, I'll make sure they're treated like part of the family while you're away. My goal is to provide a safe, fun, and loving environment where both you and your pup can feel completely at ease. 🐶 Experienced puppy raiser | Dog lover for life | Reliable, attentive, and passionate about happy pups 🐾 🏡 I Work From Home = More Time for Your Pups! 🐾 One of the biggest perks of booking with me is that I work from home, which means your dog will get plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. While I'm home, based, I'm far from sedentary! I stay very active and love spending time outdoors, going on walks, and keeping pups engaged and happy. Whether your dog is a couch cuddler or an energetic adventurer, I'll make sure they get the exercise, playtime, lounging and love they deserve. In my home, pets enjoy: 🐾 Consistent feeding and potty schedules 🐾 Plenty of exercise and playtime 🐾 A comfortable, dog-friendly environment 🐾 Lots of love, attention, and cuddles 🐾 Supervised socialization with my friendly German Shorthaired Pointer (GSP) I have raised five dogs from puppies to adulthood, so I'm experienced with different ages, temperaments, and care needs. My GSP has been with me since she was 13 weeks old and is incredibly sweet, well-mannered, and great with other dogs. I also want to be transparent that I have a young child in the home. Because of this, I can only accept dogs that are comfortable around children and have a friendly, non-aggressive temperament. The safety and comfort of all family members, both two-legged and four-legged, are my top priority. With that being said, my child knows boundaries and will not be engaging much. When providing care in a client's home, I follow your pet's normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding, walks, playtime, medication administration (if needed), and plenty of attention and affection. I also provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you're away. My goal is simple: to make sure your pet feels safe, happy, loved, and right at home while you're gone. 🐾💕
“Sometimes you find a sitter that loves your dog as much as you do. That's Erica! Zach walked into her house like he lived there...and went straight for the basket of toys! Erica sent photos throughout the day, and we could see what a great time Zach was having. We highly recommend Erica to take care of your furry boy or girl.”

“Michelle & Mike were great! Super flexible with my drop off/pick up. Kept me informed through the day! My pup was SO tired out after playing with their dog Bailey!! Will definitely be using them again.”
About: My love for dogs is endless. I've been involved in dog rescue for over 12 years. The fun dogs, the shy dogs, the dogs with no direction and the perfect dogs, dogs of all ages. A very quiet home with playtime if they want it or quiet time that they need. I provide lots of enrichment and a full secure yard where they can run and play, or just sun bathe. I have been dog sitting for years and I've also been a part of a dog rescue where I've seen everything. Each one of our family members deserves love and respect and a little extra when their family is on vacation. It should be a relaxing time for our canine family too! I pride myself on the reaction of my visitors when they come back over and over!!! My schedule allows me to give your family members all the time and attention they could ask for in my home. I never want your furry family to feel like they aren't comfortable and I will engage with them as much or as little as they would like while giving them the space they need if they choose. I have a fully fenced in yard, but no one is out in the yard unattended. I also have the ability to completely separate dogs with separate exits/entrances. All dogs are able to go on couches and dog beds throughout the house and if they need their own space, I have that capability as well. The separated room has it's own tv, couch and is where I spend most of my day working. If your pup(s) is friendly, they are able to keep us company throughout the house. Smoke-free home.
“John was super communicative and really easy going. He made us and Mac feel comfortable and sent lots of photos throughout the day. He seems to really like the animals / definitely use John for your next care!”

“Pat was very patient with both Sammy and myself, especially in trying to find his apartment! I had a very stressful day and kept getting confused. Sammy was a rescue with a horrible background and Pat was very careful handling him. Pat took him out for walks several times and Sammy loved being out on his patio! Pat sent several updates and pictures of Sammy during the day. Will be using him every time I go into Philly for my medical appointments.”

“Iliana was really sweet and took great care of my pup. When I picked her up I could see how happy she was and that she had a great time playing with Luna. Would book again! Thank you!”

“Lan was fantastic! I was in a bind with a last minute in-office work assignment that required a sitter for my four-month-old puppy, Nahala; and Lan stepped up and offered to take her on. She and her family were kind and made us both comfortable with our first-time experience. Nahla had a great time and was was very well taken care of. I wouldn't hesitate to seek out Lan again, next time we're in need of a sitter!”

About: I grew up with dogs and have a deep love for animals. My partner, Jeff and I adopted our dog Miso in early 2025, so we know from experience the “puppy blues” that can come with a new addition. We already have repeat clients and frequently dog-sit for friends, coworkers, and neighbors. We have experience caring for senior dogs, as well as post-spay care and administering medications from caring for own pup. Jeff and I both work full time on flexible hybrid schedules, so there will always be someone home during your dog’s stay. Our pup’s routine includes potty breaks in the morning, afternoon, evening, and one final outing before bed. Your dog will follow the same schedule unless they require a more specialized routine or level of care — we’re happy to accommodate their needs! Dog park visits are a regular occurrence as well. We don’t have a fenced yard, but our neighborhood is very dog-friendly with plenty of green space for your pup to explore and sniff to their heart’s content. Miso is crate-trained, and we also have additional crates available if your dog is more comfortable being crated as well.

About: With over 20 years of hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats, I bring a lifelong love of animals to every pet I care for. I understand that every pet has a unique personality, routine, and set of needs, and I make it my top priority to ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while in my care. I treat every dog and cat as if they were my own—providing attentive, reliable care, plenty of affection, and respect for their individual routines. Your pet’s happiness, well-being, and peace of mind are always my highest priority. Caring for pets is my full-time commitment and daily routine. I prioritize their comfort, happiness, and well-being in everything I do and is my daily focus. My home becomes your pet’s home, complete with a fenced backyard and a beautiful, large park right on my street for walks and outdoor time.
“Christie and Drew took such good care of our puppy Henry. They sent lots of thoughtful updates during the day. Henry clearly loved playing with their dog and wasn’t thrilled that his daddy came to take him home! He was a happy pup with Christie and Drew.”

“Lulu had a very nice day! Jonathan was great! Lots of communication and photos throughout the day. Lulu was recently rescued and has some fear but felt comfortable enough to eat dinner with Jonathan which is something we have been struggling with when she is not at home or with us. Can wait for her to have more wonderful days with him! Highly recommend.”

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Hendry! I was honestly so happy with the entire experience. From the moment I dropped Charlie off, I knew he was in great hands. Hendry was incredibly responsive and kept me updated with the most beautiful photos and messages throughout Charlie’s stay, which gave me so much peace of mind. When I arrived to pick Charlie up, they were already waiting for me at the door. It truly felt like VIP service from start to finish. His home is on a quiet street, and you can tell he genuinely cares about the dogs he watches. Charlie came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well loved. I would recommend Hendry to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and professional. 10/10 experience—I will absolutely be booking with him again!

Natalie took great care to learn our pup’s routines and was very patient with her as she transitioned to the new environment. She also kept us posted on how things were going and made sure Luna and our pup were getting along well. We feel very at ease leaving our dog with her!

I had a wonderful experience with Artesha watching my puppy. She was caring, reliable, and kept me updated with photos. My puppy came home happy, well cared for, and clearly enjoyed his time with her. It's such a relief to know my dog was in good hands. I would definitely trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable pet sitter.

First time using Rover. Jessica was amazing with my boy and communicative throughout the day. She included updates with pictures and notes about how Kaos was doing. She was also very fast with responses and flexible with time. Kaos has a lot of anxiety but Jessica kept him comfortable and he had an amazing 2 days! Will be booking with her again!

Dan was great with our girl Bubbles. At the meet and great with his dog Frankie, he made sure to get all the details about Bubbles so he could take good care of her during her stay. He’s got a great yard for dogs to sniff around and his dog Frankie is super sweet. Dan clearly loves to care for the dogs that stay with him and treats them like a part of the family. We’ll definitely bring Bubbles back again.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Merchantville commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
