“It was only our second visit and Rydyk is already so relaxed with Meghan that he asks for pets right away. Thank you for being so sweet to our little guy and making him feel comfortable with you!”

About: Growing up, my family always had German Shepherds who we trained to become Seeing Eye Dogs. As an adult, I currently have a senior pup and younger pup so I am comfortable with dogs of all ages. All the dogs I have had have been over 60+ pounds so big dogs or small dogs will get the care and walks they need. I work later in the afternoon every day and am free on the weekends. Any time your pup needs a morning walk I can be there! We go on many walks throughout the day. We go to parks regularly. I can run with your dogs if needed. We have a crate if you want your dog crated or it sleeps in there. No room in the house is off limits. We have daily play time with our dogs already.
About: I grew up with dogs, so I have plenty of exposure to their care and needs. When my sister leaves for work trips, I have been the primary caretaker for her dog. I have experience feeding, cleaning, walking, and administering medications. Currently, I have two cats that I rescued from the street. Also, for the past few years, I have been caring for a feral cat colony. I am a university student, so I have the most flexibility before 11 AM and after 5 PM on the weekdays. This does vary by days, as on Monday and Wednesday, I am also free between 12PM-3PM. I am free all-day Saturday and Sunday for most weekends. I live in a dorm, so I am unable to care for your furry family outside of your home. As for caring for them at your home, I will follow all given guidelines to ensure proper care (i.e. the care YOU want).
“Jessie is a wonderful dog walker!! My two dogs have some special needs, and she took super care to make sure she fend them the correct food. She was communicative, took adorable pictures and clearly took time to give them some love while she was with them.”

“Prompt, consistent, communicative, and flexible. Very easy to contact, update, and plan with. Willing and able to make specific tweaks based on client request and availability. Highly recommended, extremely consistent.”

“Briana was great! She was so nice and communicative. Sent cute pics and detailed update of the visit. You can tell she has a lot of experience with dogs and I would definitely recommend her to others.”

“Natalie has been wonderful with Bixby. She's worked with us as we navigate this new energetic pup into our lives by providing both care for Bixby and frequent updates to us during his weekday walks!”

About: I grew up with two cats and a dog, who I helped take care of. My dog was 17 when she passed, so I have experience with elderly pets. I often pet-sit for neighbors and friends—dogs, cats, and even guinea pigs! I work part time in the afternoons, so I have lots of free time to spend with your pet. I’m available mornings and evenings for check-in visits, to play and spend quality time, or just keep your pet company. I also offer house sitting any day of the week. I’m very detailed-oriented, and more than happy to attend to the specific needs of your pet. All my pets were rescued, and as a result, have their own little quirks. I want your pet to feel safe and cared for while you’re away!
About: I began a “sub-sitter” right out of high school with my moms and absolutely love it. I have had cats and dogs in I house since I was little. Big fan of walking/jogging with dogs, cuddling with cats, and generally spending time with animals. I work at a K-8 school from 8:45-4:30 but otherwise am flexible to see your kitties and puppies! I also have lunch from 11:15-12:15 which I’ll usually use to check on anything while I’ve been away.🐾 I'm open to whatever you feel your pet needs - if that is walking, going outside, playing, feeding, or cuddling - I can do it. I also have experience with giving meds, brushing dogs' teeth, and some basic grooming. 🐾
“Kaydee deserves more then the 5 stars alotted. She has made our family feel safe and at ease in taking care of our pup. He’s a large German Shepherd with a lot of energy and you can tell he loves her. I get a picture, update and message each day when she walks him. We are so happy and so is our boy!”

“This was my first time using Rover and Shelby made this a great experience and exceeded my expectations. She was so communicative and took extra care of my senior dogs. I highly recommend her and will definitely use her again!”

About: I’ve had pets my entire life and have been taking care of them. Currently have two cats and two dogs. My wife calls me the cat whisperer. I work full time Monday through Friday but can stop before and after work as needed. I can be fully flexible on the weekends as needed. Our current animals eat twice a day and the cat’s litter box is cleaned daily. The dogs need walks and everyone needs cuddles. I change the litter fully bi-weekly.
“Taylor is just the best! We’ve booked her a few times to walk and hang out with our pup Birdie, and Taylor has been great-we feel comfortable leaving our fur child w her. She sends lots of photo updates too, which we really appreciate. Paws up for Taylor !!”

About: I’ve cared for animals my entire life and regularly pet sit for family, friends, and colleagues. I have experience with both cats and dogs of different sizes, personalities, and energy levels. I’ve lived with both small and large dogs, so I’m comfortable handling a wide range of breeds and temperaments. I’m experienced caring for pets at all life stages, from young puppies and kittens to senior pets that may need extra patience or special care. I also have experience working with very large and reactive dogs, which has taught me how to read animal body language, stay calm, and handle situations safely. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away. I work full-time but have a flexible schedule and often work from home, which allows me to adjust my day to fit pet care needs. This flexibility makes it easy for me to stop by for visits, walks, or check-ins throughout the day and give your pet the time and attention they deserve. I focus on caring for pets in the environment where they feel most comfortable and secure. I always follow owners’ instructions carefully and make sure pets stay on their normal routines for feeding, walks, playtime, and medication if needed. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, relaxed, and well cared for while you’re away.
Grays Ferry dog parents share their Rover experiences
i've had such a good experience with alex so far, cannot recommend them enough! they've been taking my senior dog on regular walks as i recover from surgery, and my dog has really enjoyed them. alex is always aware of their surroundings and any concerning trash like chicken bones. they leave really detailed notes about the walk and have also helped with things like giving my dog a treat once they're back, refilling poop bags on her leash, etc. big big fans :)

Richard is great with my dog Nugget (corgi). He always shows up on time. Nugget loves him and she gets so excited for her walks. He’s very mindful of her older age and making sure she is going slower, stopping she needed, etc. Nugget loves her walks and we are so grateful Richard is able to help us out with her care!

This was our first time using Rover and I think I picked a great dog lover. Tamikia was very responsive even with a last minute request. She also sent videos which helped ease my anxiety since we’ve never had anyone outside of family care for Lolo. I cannot wait to book again!

Kristina has been absolutely wonderful! She is always on time, takes my dog on nice long walks, and is incredibly reliable. She’s also very responsive and easy to communicate with, which gives me such peace of mind. I can tell she genuinely cares, and my dog is always so happy after their time together. Highly recommend!

Megan was awesome. She was easy to communicate with, and on the day of the walk she arrived early (she texted to make sure it was ok for her to come to the door early), hit it off with our dog, and asked great questions to make sure she understood the logistics. We will definitely work with her again! We've already made a reservation for boarding!

10/10 would recommend. Jasmine is the ideal caretaker and dog walker. Our boy Churro immediately gravitated toward her and they have such a good time that she never wants to come inside after their walks. Churro also needs a little extra attention, and we use a number of commands with him. Jasmine was more than happy to use our commands to continue ingraining the training we’ve done with him. Thank you so much, Jasmine!
