About: We have been watching dogs throughout college and grad school at our house by the shore for 7 years. We wanted to continue watching our furry friends in the city! About: I’ve taken care of lots of different kinds of animals since I was a teenager. I worked at a zoo in England for a summer when I was a bit younger and from then, I grew a genuine passion for animals. I am currently working from home, so I will be able to provide lots of attention to your dog. I also walk routinely in the morning, evening, and anytime in between. I do not have any pets that live with me so it will just be myself and your dog. I will usually only have 1 dog at a time unless the dogs already know each other or live together.
About: Since I was a child, I grew up in a household where we rescued animals. My mother rescued hamsters, rabbits, dogs, and cats, and it surprised no one I followed in her footsteps. Aside from always being a fur-mom myself, I’ve fostered animals on my own accord, with personal finances, and found my rescues their forever homes. I’ve also partnered with a friend, who does run an actual rescue, to perform background checks on applicants. She’s allowed me to use her resources, where I’ve been able to receive affordable veterinary care for my foster visits. I’ve performed CPR on animals, administered medicine orally, and bottle fed newborn puppies and kittens. There isn’t anything I wouldn’t do to save an animal. Or, to provide an animal love and comfort. I’m permanently working from home, so I have the ability to stay with your furry child all day and care for them. This includes lounging in the house, and I also have my backyard where we can all stretch our legs and play. I am a firm believer in safety first. I treat all animals as if they’re my own children, and I always consider their safety to be paramount. In my own home, I have a pet-friendly setup. This means, I don’t have plants that would be toxic to animals, and I ensure that all food is stored properly and away. There are no sharp objects in my house. When I’m sitting a cat or dog, I’m also always around to make sure they don’t get into anything dangerous. I make sure to use pet safe cleaning products. When I’m house sitting, I respect the rules of someone else’s home, and I ensure that I’m careful when entering and exiting any home (mine or someone else’s) so that no animals escapes. Before sitting for an animal in someone’s home, I have a lengthy conversation with them to go over expectations and the safety rules of the house. I follow these rules like they are my own. I will crate a dog if the pet parent requires it— and dogs and cats are allowed to roam freely in my home (under my watchful eye) if a crate isn’t needed. I will crate as requested.

About: I've always loved animals and grew up with pet birds, dogs, hamsters, and currently have a senior cat. I started petsitting as a teenager and have continued to do so. Over the years I've taken care of big dogs, little dogs, cats (elderly and semi-feral included), chickens, and rabbits. I enjoy building a connection with animals at their pace, whether it's love at first treat or gaining trust from a distance. Although I am happy to care for any pet, big dogs have a special place in my heart. Comfortable with large and high energy dogs. About: I grew up having an energetic beagle so I’m used to matching a dog’s high energy level. “Christopher is amazing! He was communicative before, during, and after our dog's stay with him. Gonzo got tons of love and plenty of exercise with Christopher, too. I would highly recommend Christopher to anyone who needs to leave their dog in caring, expert hands.”
“John is the absolute best. He and his equally hospitable Boston Terrier, Parker, took care of our Wheaten Dolly for two weeks. We were nervous having never left her with anyone for that long, but he provided us with regular (and often very funny) updates about how Dolly was doing. He took the time to understand Dolly and worked with her on some of her issues. She only sleeps on her back when she feels safe and secure, and many of the photos John sent showed her snoozing away on her back, paws in the air. She came back clean, brushed, and although she was excited to see me I think she was a little sad to say goodbye to John and Parker. We will absolutely be relying on John in the future and are so grateful to the kindness he showed us and Dolly.”

“I am so so glad I found Victoria on Rover -- highly recommend if you need a sitter for your animal bb! <33 My dog has some health issues which affect his diet, and is a generally shy / anxious lil guy (like myself), and I can't express how grateful and secure I felt knowing Theo felt safe, cared for, and happy while I was away. Victoria has so much experience and compassion working with animals, and you can absolutely tell by her kindness, attentive care, and communication. I appreciated every message and cute picture of my pup Theo on walks, smiling, and relaxing with Victoria (and Remi, Nova, and Luey!) In addition, I appreciated the add-on booking allowing Victoria to come pick and drop Theo off. The ease of the booking and Victoria being such a lovely sitter eased so much of my mental load and stress of traveling and being away from my pup, and I can't recommend her enough. I think Theo says woof in agreement, since he came back so happy :) This was my first time booking with Victoria but I am so happy to have found a wonderful sitter and would love to rebook when I will need one for Theo again :)”
