About: I have 3 dogs of my own who I love, cherish, and take care of. I have walked dogs for my neighbors and family before, always ensuring the most safe and nurturing experience for them. Currently I am in school, but very flexible for walking on weekdays. I am always open to figuring something out that works around my schedule. The weekends are a little more busy, but again times can be worked around. I will care for the pets greatly in their environment in which they feel comfortable in. I walk my dogs a lot and always make sure they are safe and protected.

About: I have been caring for animals my entire life. I have dogs, cats, pet rats, snakes, geckos, and frogs. I work with dogs with behavioral issues, sassy snakes, geckos who fling themselves into the air and birds who aren't interested in my company! There's nothing on this planet I can't find a reason to love. I work full time during the day from 11-7 so I am unable to do midday visits, but I am happy to do breakfast and dinner check-ins What type of care I give is catered specifically to the individual animal. Some want cuddles, some want someone to sit nearby and be read to, some just want to eat! I let the animal set the stage of our interactions, I find that it fosters a deeper connection in the long term. This method is applied to the best of my ability when it comes to pets requiring medication as needing medication requires a more active hands on approach

About: I’ve been on Rover for the past 6 years and I have also had personal experience with taking care of dogs for about ten years. I have made house visits to my neighbors to care for their dogs while they were away and my family also has a dog of that I have taken care of for the past 12 years. I have always been an animal lover and I love to help in whatever ways that I can. Being able to combine my love for animals with my love for helping people by caring for their pets seems like the perfect part-time job to me. I’ve lived in Oak Park for a few years now so I’ve gotten to know the area well and I love getting to meet all the different animals around! (P.S. I’ll also take great pictures of your pets to send while you’re away) I am available full-time during the week and weekends and I have a pup of my own who would love to make some new friends in the area! I live in an apartment with a lot of parks nearby that I would plan on taking your pet. I have a very friendly pup of my own that loves to play as well.

On the day of the walk, she was very gentle, sweet, and patient with him when he was nervous to come out of his crate for the walk. “Maureen was a life-saver. I am recovering from surgery and my Mercedes being an early riser with a specific morning routine. It was hard. She was extremely anxious with seeing me in bed and unable to carry her and keeping her morning routine was nearly impossible. She had become increasingly anxious. Maureen came in every morning on time at 6 am, let Mercedes out, fed her and walk her. She gave Mercedes belly rubs, lots loving and Mercedes calmed down. Maureen followed my directions, was puntual and gave TLC to Mercedes and was polite with us. She noted concerns when needed . Though minor, we were able to deal with the issues right away. Everything worked like a charm. I thank God that I was able to connect with Maureen and she was overall EXCELLENT. Mercedes calmed down and was excited to see Maureen. She took a load off us on the most difficult part of my recovery. Surely a God sent.”

We recently lost our 17-year-old chihuahua, so I have experience caring for a senior pet as well. I’m a freelance creative, working from home with a very flexible schedule. About: I've had cats and dogs and other animals my whole life. I've taken care of puppies, kittens, elderly pets and even reptiles and horses. We have a diabetic cat whom I give twice daily insulin injections to so I have no issues giving medicine to animals. I am currently doing freelance photography work and renovating a house, but my schedule is very open and flexible. As long as I can arrange transportation I can be available at your need. I like to cater to each individual pets needs and personality. If a pet likes space or takes a while to warm up to me I am very gentle and patient with them. If a pet needs lots of attention I provide them with plenty. I don't mind rowdy pets either.

About: I usually connect well with dogs and kids I think I have a kindness with them that most people dont. I have owned a dog-walking business with my brother when we were kids. It consisted of us walking and watching dogs for the neighbors. It also showed me how to run a business and how to make my customers happy. Careful, professional dog walking demands technical skill, physical stamina, and in-depth knowledge of everything from dog behavior to pet first aid to knowing and understanding city laws. I think it is a wonderful oppurtunity for me to connect with animals again and show them there is love for them. they are such a huge part of our lives they deserve to be treated with care.
