Your dog's other best friend
Most of my experience is with dogs and cats, though I have cared for a few birds, fish, frogs, rabbits, hamsters, and even a guinea pig along the way and am eager to expand my repertoire and meet a few new (legal) "exotic" pets this year. Specific to dogs and cats, I have provided care for puppies, kittens, mischievous adolescents, adults, and seniors (who often required medication and a little extra patience and care). I've also worked with many special needs pets as well as new rescues/fosters exhibiting mild aggressive behavior or fearful/timid behavior (ya know, being stressed out in a new environment coupled with a dose of stranger danger), so I'm happy to work with just about any animal. I'm a fast learner and take direction well (and can think quickly on my feet) so with a little time and an abundance of compassion, your furry (or scaly or feathery) best friend will easily become my new buddy :) I am also privately insured & bonded in addition to Rover's guarantee for extra peace of mind!

I will stick as close to your normal schedule and routine as possible while in your home, within reason, e.g., feeding/walk times, leash and harness preferences, training methods, crating needs, etc. I also generally steer clear from other dogs/people on walks as much as possible and do NOT take client dogs to enclosed dog parks where off-leash pups cannot be safely avoided. Also, if your schedule requires regular wake up times and walks before 6am during sits, I am likely not a good fit for your pets -- the night owl in me would protest the early wake up call, haha

Nikki took such good care of Levon during the home stay. We came back to a happy pup! And Nikki sent regular updates and photos.
This was our first sit with Nikki and she was great! When she arrived for our meet and greet, Nala took to her within seconds (literally sitting on her lap) and I could tell she'd be in capable hands. Nikki spent hours with us doing a really thorough intake (notes by hand) on both pet care and home care, a nice lengthy walk in our neighborhood- which felt really nice as not only was this our first sit with her, but we were also going out of the country for two weeks. Nikki sent awesome photos, daily updates and even went out of her way to do so during our time zone difference. Nikki also was incredibly respectful of the fact that I have Celiac's disease and was super careful in our kitchen which really meant a lot! House was just as we left it, if not tidier. And most importantly we could tell Nala had an awesome time and was really well taken care of. We'd love to have Nikki for future visits/drop ins. Thank you so much for your time and care (:

Nikki was very responsive and took the time to come by for a meet-and-greet before the service began. She did a wonderful job caring for our two cats while we were away, and we felt completely at ease knowing they were in good hands. We would absolutely book with her again in the future.
Nikki is incredible! We are so lucky to have her as a teammate. This trip was the longest time we’ve been away from the pup and her communication and care was as top-notch as ever. Such a relief when traveling! Thank you, Nikki!!
Nikki did a fantastic job once again with our bets while we were away. We got daily photos and updates. Our dog got multiple walks a day and Nikki made sure our finiky senior cat had whatever she wanted at meal time. We could tell that the pets were relaxed and happy. We know we don’t have to worry when Nikki is with our pets, we couldn’t ask for a better situation.

Programa
Most days most of my time would be devoted to your pets care. I do have computer work that I do remotely, which will take a few hours of my time and focus during the day, as well as errands, other clients/pets, or other needs that might pull me away from the house for a few hours at a time, including getting out on the trail for a few hours to get a run/hike in some days, but your pets' needs still remain my top priority throughout. *If your pet cannot be left alone or without supervision for more than 4 hours, pricing will be adjusted accordingly* Please note: I work remotely full-time and travel regularly for work, so I try to update my calendar regularly to reflect these work trips and anticipated travel--if there are dates blocked off that you are interested in booking, please feel free to send a message and we can try to make it work if possible!
