About: I have 3 dogs of my own who I love, cherish, and take care of. I have walked dogs for my neighbors and family before, always ensuring the most safe and nurturing experience for them. Currently I am in school, but very flexible for walking on weekdays. I am always open to figuring something out that works around my schedule. The weekends are a little more busy, but again times can be worked around. I will care for the pets greatly in their environment in which they feel comfortable in. I walk my dogs a lot and always make sure they are safe and protected.
About: I’ve been on Rover for the past 6 years and I have also had personal experience with taking care of dogs for about ten years. I have made house visits to my neighbors to care for their dogs while they were away and my family also has a dog of that I have taken care of for the past 12 years. I have always been an animal lover and I love to help in whatever ways that I can. Being able to combine my love for animals with my love for helping people by caring for their pets seems like the perfect part-time job to me. I’ve lived in Oak Park for a few years now so I’ve gotten to know the area well and I love getting to meet all the different animals around! (P.S. I’ll also take great pictures of your pets to send while you’re away) I am available full-time during the week and weekends and I have a pup of my own who would love to make some new friends in the area! I live in an apartment with a lot of parks nearby that I would plan on taking your pet. I have a very friendly pup of my own that loves to play as well.
About: I have been caring for animals my entire life. I have dogs, cats, pet rats, snakes, geckos, and frogs. I work with dogs with behavioral issues, sassy snakes, geckos who fling themselves into the air and birds who aren't interested in my company! There's nothing on this planet I can't find a reason to love. I work full time during the day from 11-7 so I am unable to do midday visits, but I am happy to do breakfast and dinner check-ins What type of care I give is catered specifically to the individual animal. Some want cuddles, some want someone to sit nearby and be read to, some just want to eat! I let the animal set the stage of our interactions, I find that it fosters a deeper connection in the long term. This method is applied to the best of my ability when it comes to pets requiring medication as needing medication requires a more active hands on approach

“Julia is punctual, thoughtful, observant, and detailed when walking our dog and leaving us notes. She was careful with our puppy in the heat, is always on time, and even brought a delivery in for us from outside.”

About: I had dogs as a kid and been a cat owner for the past 20. I can’t have a dog right now but would love to play house with yours I am currently job hunting so my schedule is wide open. I am looking for opportunities to WFH from your home. I am new to Philadelphia - this seems like a great way to learn more about the city I am interested in house/pet sitting for you. My house is not available. I am looking for opportunities to watch your animals and your house. For cats, I know how to give medicine,

About: I've been taking care of neighbor's cats and dogs since childhood, including overnight house sitting. I've had cats for most my life and have worked with big and small dogs, young and old, including dogs that need a lot of exercise. I have experience taking care of other domestic mammals like rabbits, chinchillas, rats, mice, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, and hedgehogs, as well as exotic birds and reptiles. I'm a big animal over; I majored and worked in wildlife conservation, and am passionate about domestic and wild animals. I work freelance, so my schedule is pretty flexible and I am able to stay home a lot and be with the pets. I have a car to get to people's homes easily for daytime checkins/walks. Depends on the client's specific needs but usually for housesitting I stay at the house and am home often, so I'm able to give the pets attention and care, and let them out for bathroom breaks and walks regularly as needed. I can do basic household stuff like take out trash, clean up after pets, water plants, whatever is needed.
“Danielle took the time to come meet my shy dog before the day of his walk which was really sweet and helpful for putting me at ease (and him too i’m sure). On the day of the walk, she was very gentle, sweet, and patient with him when he was nervous to come out of his crate for the walk. I highly recommend her for anyone, especially dogs that need an extra sweet and patient walker.”

“Lauren is an exceptional Rover! She walked our dog Gracie every week the better part of six months, even through crazy snow and rain — she was always punctual, highly communicative and proactive about sharing times she was unavailable well in advance, and super sweet with our dog who loved seeing her every day. I can’t recommend her enough!!!”

“Malaysia is extremely reliable and professional. My dog loves her, she is warm and friendly and she sends me a cute picture on her walk with Venus! We sincerely appreciate her help! Thank you Malaysia!”
“Allyson has been great in supporting our shy and anxious pup. She is very patient with him. She is great with communicating with us about any updates so we don't have to worry while we're away from home.”

“Sam is the best! He sends me great photos of Lou on the walks. He will take my dog to the dog park too. He is great with communication and very timely and friendly. I would recommend him to anyone.”
About: Hello! My name is Kylie. I was raised in Hawai'i and just moved from Brooklyn, NY. I love staying active, doing yoga, and just being outside in the sun. I am a huge animal lover, one of big reasons that I am vegan. I have many experiences with all kinds of home pets. I have experiences taking care of all kinds of animals, because I have had everything from a dog, a cat, chickens, parrots, a jackson chameleon named Jackson, and of course, many fish. I started walking dogs in middle school at the humane society, where I was trained, so I am very qualified and passionate about animal's wellbeing. I would love to walk your dog and get to know them, because dogs are the most precious creatures.
About: I grew up with multiple cats my whole life and currently have a feisty one of my own. Although I’ve never had a dog, I have always watched neighbors and friends dogs. Recently I’ve let friends dogs out or even stayed with them for a few days in times of need. Hoping to have a dog of my own when I have a bigger place. I work remote Thursday and Friday, so am pretty flexible but morning, mid day, and evening work best on those days. Saturday and Sunday I am pretty open throughout the day I just need some notice to plan my weekend. While walking dogs, I always keep on a leash and have them close by. I make sure not to interact with other dogs since they can react different when not with their owner. I talk to them and make sure they get attention and pets to make sure they are okay taking for a few hours. I have a 4 year old cat of my own that is very particular about everything so I know how to deal with cats that need specific care to make them feel safe and happy. I know cats can be lonely if left for a while so I make sure they get attention if they aren’t hiding. I always make sure the animals have enough water, and food if requested.
“Yoel was great as always! He always sends us photos of our pets to set our minds at ease. This visit he was even able to win over our pathologically shy, anxious cat and we were so relieved that she got some affection while we were gone. Yoel always seems to really enjoy our pets, which is a great feeling for us now that we have our hands full traveling with a baby.”
About: I’ve loved and cared for animals for most of my life. I got my first dog around age 11 and have had multiple dogs over the years, along with a ferret, hamster, and fish. I’ve also helped care for family members’ dogs and cats whenever they needed someone they could trust. I’m comfortable with feeding, walking, playtime, cleaning up after pets, and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I’m patient, attentive, and understand that every pet has their own personality and routine. Animals have always been a big part of my life and continue to be. I truly enjoy being around them and caring for them, and I always joke that one day I’m going to end up with my own little farm because I want every animal I see! I work from home, which gives me a lot of flexibility throughout the day. I’m able to take breaks for walks, feeding, playtime, check-ins, or whatever a pet may need. My daily routine is pretty laid back, so I have the time and flexibility to give pets plenty of attention and care. I’ll be caring for pets in their own homes, where they’re already comfortable and familiar with their surroundings. I would always talk with the pet parent beforehand about their normal routine, what they’re allowed or not allowed to do, feeding instructions, walks, and any other specific needs. I’m big on following the owner’s instructions, keeping their pet safe and comfortable, and being respectful of their home and belongings.
“Yu-Wei has been walking our pups for about a week now. She is reliable and very communicative. Our dogs seem to love her, she has handled unexpected things like one pup getting sick prior to her arrival and just been overall a gem of a find! She manages to get lo ger walks out of our neegetic guys than previous walkera and she just seems like the consistent walker we needed for our pups and for us to feel comfortable.”

About: I am a proud pet parent to two fur babies, a pug and tabby cat. Our pets are important members of our family. Your pet will get the love and care they deserve while you are away. I know the importance of trusting a good pet sitter. I work part-time. I have flexibility in my day as well as evenings and weekends. I have a lot of availability in the summer as well. I can care for pets in my home. They would be a good playmate for my dog. We have a fenced in yard. My dog loves walks. I would follow your specific instructions when coming into your home.
“Katie is a fantastic dog walker! She takes great care of Tyson every time, sends photos during the walks, and keeps me updated consistently. Her communication is excellent and it's clear she genuinely cares about the dogs she walks. Highly recommend her!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Mount Airy
We’ve been using Mya’s services for about two weeks now, and we’ve had such a great experience! She is incredibly sweet, flexible, and reliable. She’s been wonderful about communicating with us and taking great care of our two dogs. Most importantly, our doggies absolutely love her! We’re so happy we found her and look forward to continuing to have her help with them. 🐾❤️

Ella was PHENOMENAL! She was kind, communicative, punctual, and sent lots of pictures. She even went above and beyond to help us out when I made a booking error, I really appreciated her exceptional service and the care she gave to my pets. We will absolutely book again!! 10 stars!!!

Rebecca is amazing. She took such great care of my dogs while I was away. One of my dogs got sick while I was away and she kept me updated on my dogs, cleaned up after them and offered to get food/meds for my dogs. I really can’t say enough good things about her.

Elizabeth is incredible! We were away, and the family member who was watching our dog needed some extra help. Elizabeth was so flexible and understanding of the situation and was able to help us out with walking our dog. We really appreciated how accommodating she was! We won’t hesitate to reach out to her the next time we need someone to take great care of our dog!

Ally was absolutely wonderful! She recognized that our puppy was a tad nervous on her first stroll with a new-to-her person, so she allowed her time to do her thing and get comfortable, which paid dividends, as she eventually warmed up and I’m sure will look forward to her next jaunt with Ally.

Hannah took great care of Koda while we were away for 8 days! She was patient and understanding, especially on the days when Koda was missing us and wasn’t quite feeling up for her usual walks. Hannah was always on time, easy to communicate with, and kept us updated while we were away. We really appreciated knowing Koda was in good hands!
