“Kristen was absolutely amazing caring for my diabetic, blind dog. She went above and beyond to meet every one of her unique needs, and her communication throughout was exceptional. I always felt informed and at ease. I couldn’t have asked for a more attentive, compassionate caregiver. Highly recommend!”

“Caitlin is a wonderful pet sitter. She gives lots of snuggles to my pooch and updates everyday. When I come home, my pup is contented and the house is in great shape. She's very responsible and asks questions when she's not sure. What more could you ask for!”

“Megan was so sweet and chill! We needed someone to keep our Alaskan Malamute company while we went into the city for a concert in the evening. She was very responsive during setting up the house stay and communicated throughout the duration we were gone with helpful updates and photos of our anxious dog. He was immediately fond of her and even seemed to miss her after she left! I would highly recommend Megan to anyone looking for a house sitter.”

“DEBBIE was great. Very fair price. She kept in touch and if there were any issues, she made sure she involved me while I was out of town. I would definitely use her again when the occasion occurs. Thank you!”

“We were sooo fortunate to have Amelia stay with our dog for 20 days, and with short notice! She sent us daily photos & updates which really put our minds at ease & smiles on our faces. Tlwe really thought it would make it harder, being away from our baby for so long but nope! We sincerely appreciate Amelia and her loving attention to our girl. We highly recommend her & again, thank you for all you did for us Amelia!!”

“Bill was great with the boys. We can tell that they were very happy from the photos he sent. He took good care of the house. We will be booking him again.”

“Always such a great caretaker for our animals. They have provided so much help with last minute assistance with our animals. TreDerica is incredibly communicative and has always shared so many pictures with us while we are away. Will happily book multiple times !”

“Nikki is great! She's a good communicator, sending cute photos and updates everyday. The best thing is that, when I arrive home after a multi-day trip, my pup is happy and relaxed and the house is exactly as I left it. I strongly recommend her.”

“Sarah was amazing. She is helpful, kind, and creative. My newly adopted dog is struggling with separation anxiety; knowing I could trust Sarah to keep him engaged and happy while I was out of the house was such a relief.”

“Shannon saved us this weekend taking care of our cat and dog! Due to some unforeseen circumstances we needed Shannon at a moments notice and she so graciously cared for our animals and home all weekend. She was very communicative and both our animals loved her. Pretty sure my dog had the time of her life this past weekend. Would definitely recommend!”

“Christina did such an amazing job with Lincoln! It was my first time leaving him at home without a family member watching him, and she made me feel so comfortable, responding to all my many lengthy messages I sent about how to take care of him! She was on time for everything and sent pics and videos of how he did on walks, mealtimes, and just hanging out. I could tell she was really there for him and made an effort to get close to him even though he can be shy and independent. And he got to snuggle her when there was scary thunder 🥺 She also is very kind and understanding. I definitely recommend Christina 100%”

“Ryan stayed at our house while we were away for vacation. We have two 1yr old puppies and Ryan made us feel at ease the entire time! We received updates, pictures, and any mail or packages were brought in to the kitchen table. It was so comforting to know Ryan was with the dogs and they were comfortable in their own space/yard. Ryan communicates quickly with responses or any questions that came up. I would highly recommend him and we will certainly have Ryan for our next vacation!”

“Jasmine is the absolute sweetest! She stayed at my house with my pittie, Sam, and they were instant BFFs. She sent over detailed updates, photos, and the house looked even better than when I left. Will absolutely ask her to come back next time Sam needs a sitter! Thank you so much, Jasmine!”

“Christina was a great fit for our two senior dogs. Both are reactive and have leash anxiety, so having someone calm and comfortable with energetic dogs was essential. We’d definitely book her again.”

About: Hi from an intuitive Roxborough mom of a toddler and dog mom of 30+ years! I’ve had dogs my whole life and will care for your furry best friend(s) like they’re my own child. I used to board dogs in my NYC apartment back when Rover was called Dog Vacay, hence the reviews from a decade ago. Now that my kid is in preschool, we have a fenced yard and a sweet dog that plays well with others, I’m ready to start caring for dogs again. Now booking new clients for: —SOLO WALKS from 9am to 5pm within 19128 and very nearby. Weekend hours are much more flexible. I used to walk the biggest and most reactive Brooklyn shelter dogs, in addition to my own rescue pit bull who had a severe brain disorder and fear-based aggression. Once he lost all control of his limbs, I had no choice but to carry him up and down four flights of stairs. All to say: I feel well equipped to manage your pup, no matter their temperament or special needs. —IN-HOME DOGGIE DAYCARE *for one dog at a time* (in addition to my own super sweet Mini Aussie). Hours can be flexible once everyone knows each other and gets along. I work from home, have a fenced yard and can give them so much attention and playtime, even in the winter. I’d prefer a long-term arrangement with one regular client and would offer a discounted rate for that, but am open to drop-ins at $40/day. I’d require a complimentary meet and greet prior to booking. Our Freddie boy gets very stressed around a bunch of new dogs, so I assume perhaps other dogs do as well, hence my desire to have just one other dog here with him. He’s neutered and seems to really enjoy other dogs as long as it’s a 1:1 scenario. —OVERNIGHT BOARDING IN MY HOME. I’m open to requests for boarding your dog in our home, providing you trust them entirely around young children. Given that my child’s safety is my top priority, I’d always want to do a meet and greet before accepting the booking request. —WEEKEND-ONLY HOUSE SITTING AT YOUR PLACE. I can be there as early as 9am Saturday and can stay until 7pm Sunday. Worth noting that I have a car that could come in handy in the case of any emergency requiring a vet visit. I’m able to give oral medication. While I’ve never injected meds, I bet I could figure that out with a little guidance and practice. Can’t wait to meet you and your amazing dog! SCHEDULE: I work from home with my Mini Aussie, have a fenced yard for doggie daycare and am available for walks during the day from 9am to 5pm. Weekend hours are flexible. SAFETY, TRUST & ENVIRONMENT: As mentioned above, our yard is fenced and I work from home, so am present and available for most of the day. Our Mini Aussie is neutered and always current on vaccinations. He’s a sweetheart, though I’d prefer to have a meet and greet prior to any new dog being introduced for a stay.
Mount Airy pet parents share their Rover experiences
We had been looking for a dog sitter for our two dogs for a little while and couldn’t be happier with finding Ricky. From the first time that we met her, we knew she was the perfect choice for our dogs Tate and Penny. She took the time to come to our house for a meet and greet, and we spent so much time chatting about life and dogs, Tate and Penny and ourselves. Communications with her were very clear and timely, her pricing was very competitive, but more importantly was the way that she interacted with our dogs that made us feel so comfortable to let her stay in our home and spend the time watching our dogs. Both she and her fiancé, Joe know how to make the pups feel loved and provide the pets’ owners with the security that their animals are being taken care of safely. She provided us with photos daily. Ricky left our house very clean after spending the week here, and our dogs were clearly happy. We couldn’t be happier finding Ricky and Joe to help us when we needed them and we look forward to working with them in the future. We’d give them six stars if we could!!

It's always nerve-wracking leaving my dog with someone new for the first time, especially when I'm not easily accessible. Good thing I took a chance on Anna - she handled everything perfectly! I really felt like she treated Turtle like her own pet for the week. Her and her partner provided all the care and loving that I'd hoped for. I will definitely use her again!

Ava took care of my two dogs when I was abroad for work. One of my dogs had a nasal tumor and Ava was comfortable handling her daily meds and a nosebleed that happened during the week. She sent me updates and took them for pup cups. She also made sure to leave my place as she found it. She was flexible and helpful. I recommend her.

Mars is a great human! She took excellent care of my babies and provided sweet photos and updates throughout the visit. I felt comfortable leaving my home and pets in her care and would absolutely rebook in the future. I also appreciate my space being left clean the way I left it. Thank you Mars for your care!

Larry was absolutely fantastic! After another sitter canceled 4 days before our trip, Larry was able to be very flexible and help us house sit our two Golden’s for a week! He was very prompt during our meet and greet and during the stay, he gave us daily updates on our dogs! He left our house clean took great care of our boys while we were away! We will definitely be booking Larry for future sittings!

Always such a great caretaker for our animals. They have provided so much help with last minute assistance with our animals. TreDerica is incredibly communicative and has always shared so many pictures with us while we are away. Will happily book multiple times !

Maria is amazing! She was so patient and accommodating with my fearful and reactive dog. My dog ended up loving her and I felt very comfortable that she was being well cared for when I was gone. Maria sent regular updates and took amazing care of the house, leaving it very clean. Definitely would recommend Maria for your dog sitting needs!
