Extremely Caring and Trustworthy
UPDATE: June 21, 2026. Due to an emergency appendectomy surgery, I am only accepting requests starting in the fall- September. Hello! I am a smart, honest, caring, thorough and responsible 40 year old woman who absolutely LOVES dogs and cats. I am originally from Santa Fe, New Mexico and have a BFA in modern dance from CalArts. I now have my own cat, my lovey Totoro. I grew up with pets, and took care of my family friend’s cats in Philadelphia for six years. I also took care of my prior roommates cats. I currently dog, cat, and house sit consistently for two clients and I’m looking for more! Because I have my own cat, I only animal/house sit near my home- Mt.Airy, Germantown, East Falls, Wyndmoor, Chestnut Hill, Lafayette Hill, Glenside, etcetera. My teaching schedule is flexible so I can usually arrange my schedule to fit the clients’ pets needs. I am extremely affectionate. You can rely on me to not only take care of your dog and cat in the standard ways like giving them food, water, and walks, but to really give them the love and attention that they need while you are away. I am also confident that if a situation arose where your animal needed care by a veterinarian that I could handle the situation effectively, efficiently, and safely. My overnight fee also includes basic home care like mail and package collection, watering plants, and any other house hold needs. All of your house sitting and pet sitting needs can be accomplished with one person. Me! :) Plus, your animals will feel more at ease with a loving human in the home. I have my own cat, so I can't board others pets, but I think it's more comfortable a lot of the time for pets to be in their familiar spaces, and am comfortable staying in and caring for people's homes. I have administered oral medication to dogs and cats. I am willing to administer injections and other kinds of medicines.It is crucial that I get an in person, hands on demo/lesson with owner prior to their leaving town, so I know I’m doing it correctly.

Darcy took great care of my dog, Pebble, while I was out of the country!! Awesome communication made it much easier to relax knowing my pup was in good hands.

I am so grateful for Darcy. She took care of my cat Carter for a week just 8 days after he had surgery. She spent hours hanging out with him, taught him relaxation techniques, and found inventive ways to get him to eat while he was on an antibiotic that zapped his appetite.

Why I love dog sitting I have loved cats and dogs since I can remember! I grew up with them. My parents had a Great Dance prior to my birth, and my brother had a dog when I was a toddler. I grew up with a Bouvier, a large black sheep herding dog and many cats. She even had puppies who I helped care for until they were adopted. I was gifted a very sweet dog that was my own and helped me learn responsibility in 7th grade. My parents currently live in New Mexico and have a lovely Portuguese Water Dog, who I love dearly. Every time I see a dog on the street being walked, I want to hug it and play with it! I have always loved and had a deep appreciation for animals and their roles in humans lives. :) Dogs and cats are truly wonderful creatures! It is also important to note that I have never been afraid of large or barking dogs unless they are particularly vicious (which are far and few between). Eventually I would love to own a dog, but cannot right now, and love to love and care for other people's pets.
