Availability
I try to stay flexible with my schedule. A lot of my time goes towards working with other people's pets. My teaching job doesn't require me to be away from someone's home for long periods of time. The main thing to know is that bookings are on a first come, first serve basis. Send me a message and I'll let you know if I can make it work!

Safety, trust & environment
I take safety very seriously, and will make sure the home is properly taken care of, and locked up whenever leaving. Any instructions that are provided for your home will be read carefully. Treating the environment as if you were still there with your pets is key.
Information Ryan L. would like to know about your pet
Just need to know a history of the dog's/cat's interactions with people or other animals; in the house and out on walks. This includes all "negative" behaviors. I am very good with reading a pet's body language and adjusting to their personalities.
A typical day
Lots of attention, play and activity if that is what you would like! I am great at keeping pets satisfied and making clients feel like (our) time was well spent.

Pet care experience
AVAILABLE FOR JULY, AUGUST and SEPTEMBER bookings! Hi everyone! I am a dog walker, pet sitter, actor and fitness instructor in West Germantown, right next to W Mt Airy and Chestnut Hill. You might see me going for runs through town! I do a LOT of house sitting bookings through Rover. While house sitting, I've also taken care of birds, turtles, hamsters and rabbits who are usually accompanied by a pet or two. I am also looking for dogs to consistently walk and drop ins for pets that need assistance. *I will always double check the accuracy of booking requests when it comes to the dates requested and total cost*. House Sitting: West + East Mt Airy, Wyndmoor, Chestnut Hill, Flourtown, Glenside, (some) of the East Falls area, and parts of Germantown. I do service some of Fort Washington//Plymouth Meeting. Dog Walking: Mt Airy, Wyndmoor, Flourtown and Chestnut Hill. Dog walking is more "local", house sitting is more flexible. There are rare exceptions based on availability, but these are my main locations for both services. If your request is declined, it is most likely outside of my area, or I am too busy to fit it into my calendar. The Rover calendar reflects general availability. If you are a new client, I cannot accept bookings that are sent within 24 hours of the start date. Meet and greets are required for every NEW client. These are simple and straightforward with a 25 minute limit! This gives us both a chance to develop trust and set clear expectations. Additionally, the reviews on my page reflect *a portion* of the clients I have serviced. If you're interested, send me a request! I do not under any circumstances go to dog parks with Rover clients. Experience: --Worked with dogs + cats for half of my life / have lived with pets my entire life --Experience with intense levels of play/activity, notetaking and behavioral observation --Can walk with the slowest of pups or jog with the fastest --Worked for two boarding/daycamp facilities professionally (3 years total) --Experience with dogs of all ages, sizes and breeds (even in the same room) --Three years of paid dog walking/pet sitting for a local business prior to Rover While I have worked with dogs and cats of all temperaments, I will not do visits for aggressive, territorial and overly-possessive pets. Safety is important! **If your pet requires a harness to be clipped underneath of their belly, this is something I need to be notified of in advance

Reviews

This is our third or fourth time using Ryan, and we will continue doing so!

Ryan is incredible trustworthy and reliable. He takes amazing care and respect with my dog and is always our go to walker.

Great having you watch our cats as always

Ryan saved us from quite the predicament a few days prior to our wedding and honeymoon when a previous sitter ghosted us. He was able to quickly accommodate a meet and greet which gave us reassurance of his legitimacy and commitment to pet sitting. He watch our dog and cat for our extended trip away. He is extremely professional and thorough, giving regular updates with photos. So so grateful for Ryan!
