About: My family recently got a labrador retriever so I am very used to the potty training and energy that comes with a puppy, and I previously had a lab for 12 years! Dogs have been present in my entire life and I love all kinds I’m currently in grad school so I would work around my class schedule to care for pets. I often have breaks between long class days so I have multiple time block availabilities I value keeping environments clean and safe, doing nothing to put a dog in danger. Ensuring water is available and food schedules are followed if applicable

About: I have over five years of experience working in an animal hospital, where I cared for animals of all kinds through walking, feeding, monitoring, and providing daily support. Through this experience, I became highly comfortable and knowledgeable in caring for pets with specific needs, including administering medications, senior pet care, and grooming. I moved to Philadelphia two years ago to pursue graduate school and, unfortunately, cannot have pets in my shared apartment. I truly miss being around animals and would love the opportunity to give them the same care, attention, and affection I’ve always enjoyed providing. I am currently pursuing my Master’s at Drexel University, which gives me a great deal of flexibility in my day-to-day schedule. I spend a lot of time throughout University City and Center City and am very familiar with the area. I’m also very active and love long walks and runs, so if you have an energetic pup who enjoys getting outside, I’d be thrilled to have a running buddy. Unfortunately, I’m unable to host pets in my home at this time. However, I am more than happy to care for animals in the comfort of their own homes, where they feel most safe and relaxed. I’m also open to house sitting and longer-term care needs.
“Kirsten has been such an excellent addition as a dog walking and dog sitting resource for our pup Josie. She was wonderfully patient when getting initially introduced to our anxious pup, and has become an accepted and beloved member of the pack! I look forward to many more visits of her watching and caring for Josie.”
“Jay did such a great job taking care of my fur babies, Roscoe and Millie! 🐾❤️ The Rover cards were full of thoughtful details and, of course, the cutest pictures of my babies. It was so nice getting those updates and seeing how happy and well cared for they were. Jay also asked thoughtful questions that helped clarify instructions and made me feel confident that Roscoe and Millie were in great hands. I truly appreciate the care and attention Jay gave them. I’m definitely having Jay care for them again! Thank you so much! 🐶🐶💕”

About: Hi there! I’m a lifelong animal lover with years of experience caring for both cats and dogs. I grew up with dogs of different sizes and temperaments, and today I share my home with two sweet female tuxedo cats named Penelope and Clementine. I offer drop-in visits for cats and dog walking services for small dogs, providing attentive care, enrichment, and companionship while you’re away! My schedule is currently pretty flexible, and I’m available for drop-in visits and walks between 6 AM and 11 PM. I’ll be starting school in the fall, so my availability may change a bit once I know my class schedule, but I’ll always keep my calendar updated and communicate any changes ahead of time. I’ve always believed that every animal deserves care that matches their unique personality and comfort level. Whether your pet is energetic and outgoing or more cautious and independent, I take the time to follow their cues and move at a pace that feels safe for them. That said, I also know there are times when pets need essential care like medication or specific routines, even if they’re not in the mood. In those situations, I use calm, gentle, and safe handling techniques to make the experience as easy and stress-free as possible. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being are my top priorities. You can trust that I’ll care for your dogs and cats with the same patience, respect, and attentiveness I give to my own.
About: Having grown up with dogs and cats (...and a couple birds and a hedgehog), and working in pet care/pet sitting on and off for about 12 years I've seen and known a lot of weird, wonderful, sweet, and silly pets. I think my attention to detail sets me apart. I want to know what keeps your fur babies calm & happy. I want to know what stresses them out so we can steer clear: whether it's the sound of skateboards or rolling suitcases, fellow wildlife, or even people. I'm ready to redirect your nearly perfect pet away from their favorite forbidden roadside snack. I also have experience administering medications. I look forward to working with you! I currently do pet care and pet sitting part time and some other gig work (varies from week to week) while I look for other full-time work. I aim to mimic your pets lifestyle when they're in my care to make things as comfortable as possible for them. We're gonna cuddle, we're gonna play!
About: I’ve had cats my whole life but I love dogs just as much! I have years of pet care experience and I have volunteered at an animal rescue for several years. I’m currently a remote worker and student so my schedule is very flexible. I have a car and I am Willing to drive to you. I have experience with all sorts of animal needs. My resume includes a cat with diabetes, two elderly pugs with a variety of health issues, a grumpy rabbit, and many more. I have no problems caring for high need pets or low need pets!
About: Hi there! My name is Cacie - I’m a West Philly-based artist, plant-mom, and four-time Broad St Run runner. I love dogs, and while I don’t have dogs of my own, I am a proud dog auntie. My services include house sitting, dog walking, and drop-in visits. Living in West Philly is the best because the Schuykill River Trail, Kelly Drive, and Cobbs Creek Park (and every neighborhood in between!) are all within reach. With the weather heating up this summer, it’s very important to me to prioritize dog safety on walks. Being in close proximity to parks means that - if needed - we’ll be able to walk on cool grass under tree cover, rather than hot asphalt. I work remotely with a flexible schedule, so on hot days I can often accommodate walks earlier in the day to avoid scorching temperatures. I am very detail-oriented and pay close attention to pet-parent instructions, including meal time and amount, food, pet preferences, and exercise schedule. I’m also happy to provide cute pet photos with each visit, of course! Ready to schedule a Meet & Greet? Send me a message! Can’t wait to meet you! I work remotely with a flexible schedule Monday-Friday. Generally, weekdays between 10am-4pm are best for me, though I can often make walks outside of this window work with enough notice! I am not available on weekends. I am very detail-oriented and pay close attention to pet-parent instructions, including meal time and amount, food, pet preferences, and exercise schedule. I strive to create a calm, comforting environment during every visit!
About: I have cared for my family dog since I was a child, and I truly love all pets! I love all types of dogs and cats. I have cat sit for my friends on occasion, and love walking dogs for free around the city at Doggy Style Pets. I welcome any opportunity to interact with animals. I have experience with puppies and senior dogs. I have class Mondays and Thursdays all day, so any other days work well! I live close to UPenn Campus so walking around there is always an option. Several green spaces. I will respect any and all rules the pet owner has for their pet. Regardless of these, I will treat the pet with love and respect!
“Kara was a great Rover for our pup Moishe. She’s super responsive, a great communicator, and was clearly a caring and careful walker. We highly recommend booking her!”

“I contacted Matthew for help with my energetic rottie, and he responded quickly and politely. Matthew sent lots of photos and pictures on his walk with Pablo which I loved. Pablo took to him soo fast! He looked soo happy and comfortable on their walk. It was nice to see all the photos along with updates about how he was doing. I think we will be using Matthew more wherever I get the chance. I would definitely recommend using him.”

“Indigo took such great care of my animals while I was away! I got lots of photos and videos of Indigo's walks with my little old lady pup and play time with my cats. They were all in great moods when I got home. I would 100% love to have Indigo's care again in the future.”

“Paulina is the first dog walker that my anxious doggie would leave the house with without my encouragement! We weren’t sure that this could happen and we are very grateful. Thank you so much for your patience and persistence Paulina!”

“McKenzie does walking with my dog Pogi 3 times a week, and she is honestly incredible! Pogi LOVES her and she always takes such cute photos of him on their walks!!”

About: I’m currently a graduate student at Penn. Before moving to Philly, I volunteered at Charlotte Animal Control and have a lot of experience with all types of dogs! I’ve always been a dog lover - I grew up with two goldendoodles and rescued my own pup, Juju, on 2022 🥰 I’m a full time student, so I have plenty of free time to give your pups some love! I will only have class in the mornings so my afternoons and evenings are wide open. My rescue dog is very anxious so I’m very comfortable with taking care of nervous pups! I have experience with all types of dogs from my time volunteering at the city shelter!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Belmont
Lola was super friendly and helpful as a steady dog walker for us during the work week. She walked our dog M-F for 3 weeks and was an excellent and timely communicator the whole time. Our dog loved her and we will happily call her again for walks and pet sitting in the future!

We have rebooked with Scott several times and will continue to do so as he has earned our trust with our pets and home. He is responsible, trustworthy, respectful, and reliable. He communicates if there are any issues that arise and has been flexible for us. He also obviously loves animals. So glad to have found him!

Matthew is a courteous and conscientious dog walker. He truly works to put the human and the dog at ease on his walks. My pup can be a handful but Matthew walks him with ease and sincerely spends time with him during their walks together. He’s at the top of my list of dog walkers.

Highly recommend and will definitely rebook! I just moved to a new place and needed some help with Abby while I was at work. So much was new for Abby (new house, new walker) but Chelsea had no issues, and clearly made Abby comfy and happy. Refilled her water water time, gave her her frozen kong and gave me great updates. Thanks Chelsea!!
