I have been taking care of pets in the area since July of 2023. In that time, I have completed over 1000 walks, drop ins, and sittings for dogs and cats in Fishtown, Northern Liberties, Port Richmond, and beyond. Any opportunity for me to spend time with pets is one that I cherish, and I also deeply understand the responsibility. I’ve had pets all my life. Growing up, my family had 4 dogs (as many as two at one time) as well as a cat. The dogs ranged widely in care requirements and temperament, from a big and territorial Dalmatian to a born-blind miniature dachshund (she was probably as territorial as the Dal, to be honest). Since my parents worked, I was often responsible for walking, feeding, and playing with our dogs. Since moving away, I have two cats of my own that I care for and I am the go-to friend for dog sitting. I’ve dog sat primarily for mid to large dogs (GSP, Rhodesian Ridgeback). Generally, I have a deep love and respect for dogs and have been surrounded by dogs all my life. I will do my utmost to ensure that your dog receives the best care from me, regardless of the situation.

Because I have two cats of my own, I do not offer boarding services. When I am house/pet sitting in someone else’s home I take great care to make sure the routine is not dramatically different from usual to avoid any undue stress or anxiety in the pets. I follow all provided instructions as diligently as I can to ensure the pets get the best care possible. As mentioned elsewhere, I do not stay overnight.

When Luke came by to get the key, Quincy was happy to see him again and ran up purring and asking for pets. Luke’s communication was great throughout my trip, and he followed all instructions and used common sense. This was the second time I’ve used him, and plan to do so again!

Schedule
I work from home full time, with an office on west coast hours. My schedule is very flexible, so I am typically able to accommodate most schedules. I always find time to work pets into my schedule! I typically cannot provide overnight stays and for house sitting what I am usually able to provide are several walks/feeding/drop in visits throughout the day, as closely aligned with their normal schedule as possible.
