“Piper came back happy from Belinda’s! Belinda was very responsible, flexible, and made sure to slowly introduce Piper to her own pup! If I am back in town with Piper I will definitely reach out to her again!”
“This was our second time booking with Kylie and Ollie had a great time with her! I loved the photos she sent over to update me, and she was super kind when our pickup time was pushed back due to some travel delays. Thank you Kylie!”

“I had a great experience using Antonio’s services. He was very professsional and a great communicator. In addition to sending me pictures and updates, he was extremely accommodating to fitting my travel requirements and restraints into his schedule to accommodate me and make my travel much easier. I would both employ him again and recommend him to anyone who asked me for a referral. Ron”

“Tyler took great care of our lab while we were away and sent a couple photos a day. He came back happy and cared for! We’ll definitely book with him again.”

“Matias was so great watching my beagle Casey! She had a great time running and playing in the field by his house, and Matias kept me updated daily with her status! I could tell she was even sad to leave and can’t wait to use Matias again!”

“I highly recommend Tiffany for dog sitting and boarding! My dog, Dannie, recently stayed with Tiffany for three days. Tiffany’s willingness to ease Dannie (who isn’t very social) into a situation with other dogs required significant time and energy, and Tiffany had more success than any dog sitter, trainer, or I have ever had. She kept me up-to-date with frequent pictures, text messages, and several hilarious video clips. Tiffany's attention to detail throughout the booking process as well as during Dannie’s stay exceeded all of my expectations and made this a fully positive experience! Thank you, Tiffany!”

About: I’ve been caring for family pets for over 10 years and have developed a deep understanding of the attention, patience, and love that animals need. From daily walks and playtime to feeding routines and basic grooming, I’ve helped care for dogs of all ages and personalities. I’m comfortable handling pets with different energy levels and temperaments, and I always prioritize their safety and well-being. I know how important it is to find someone you can trust with your furry family member, and I treat every pet like they’re my own. I just graduated from Suffolk Law and will be home studying for the bar exam all summer! Having furry friends around is a great way to unwind and recharge from studying! Your dog’s safety is my top priority every step of the way. I take great care to make sure each pup is safe, secure, and stress-free! Whether we’re on a walk, playing in the yard, or hanging out indoors.

“Brooklynn and Adam are amazing!! My dog is anxious and leash reactive, but he had no problems staying with Brooklynn. She made sure to walk him in quiet areas during less busy times, and her home is quiet and peaceful, which I'm sure helped Monty a ton. She had no problem giving him two different medications every morning, and he got so much love all weekend. We got so many pictures of Monty snuggling with Brooklynn and Adam - so cute! It was like he went to the spa for the weekend - we would love for her to watch Monty again!”

“Lynne is a life saver! I had an emergency trip away and needed someone to care for my border collie, Zappa. Lynne responded promptly and made herself available to watch Zap on very short notice. Suffice to say, Zappa had a wonderful time w/Lynne -- and I have the photos to prove it!”

“I would highly recommend Julie. She watched my golden retriever for a weekend while I was out of town. She send frequent updates and photos which I loved. Julie clearly loves dogs very much and that is evident in how well she takes care of them.”

“Guillermo is fantastic. He was attentive to our old pup and wonderfully responsive to us. He is kind and calm, and it was clear our dog felt so comfortable and content. Our dog had an upset stomach and Guillermo was gracious and amazing at taking the extra steps to give him canned food and medicine. He sent great updates and pictures, I wish I had found him sooner and look forward to having him care for our dog again.”

“Chanel was responsive and responsible and seemed to really enjoy having our pup. She’s very sweet and sends updates and pictures everyday. Our pup seemed to really enjoy her stay and we’d book Chanel again!”

“Ruya and Berg are a great pair of dog sitters, our pup is always so comfortable in their home. Friendly, good people that love dogs. I would highly recommend.”

“Kristine is amazing! She’s boarded our dog multiple times now and she does the best job! She is always communicative and sends tons of photos daily, which gives such great peace of mind that our dog is happy and having a great time while we’re away. She takes such great care of him, talking him on walks all over the city. Our dog loves staying with her and I can’t recommend her enough!”

“Akhil was a fantastic caretaker for my dog, Sparkles. I received constant updates and pictures of him. He received plenty of attention and opportunities for walks and lounging around. Their dog was very friendly and was welcoming to mine.”

“Felice was very communicative and took great care of my old dog Charlie. She let us introduce Charlie a couple of days before his stay and remained in communication throughout to let us enjoy our time away without worrying about his wellbeing. Would recommend!”

“Geraldine was very easy to work with, I can tell that my dog really enjoyed his time with them and he was really cared for, which I truly appreciate. The only feedback is that I wish she would give more proactive updates, but I would definitely let her watch my dog again.”

“Wonderful experience. Sarah took in our two pups on a last minute booking for the weekend, made sure she had all the details about their care, and sent pictures of how well they were doing. We were confident they were in good hands.”

This is my fourth time booking with Yu, which should speak to how much I trust her. Outside of my mom and myself, there is truly no one I trust more to take care of my cat. It’s obvious how much he likes and trusts her too—he’s more comfortable with Yu than with anyone outside of my immediate family. He even lets her give him belly pets, which is about the highest level of trust he can give someone. At this point, I may have to officially name her his godmother! Yu is always great with communication, and I get photo and video updates every day, which I really appreciate. Her own cat is incredibly friendly as well. I always feel completely at ease leaving my cat with her and couldn’t recommend her more!

Yin was AMAZING with Winston! She was super flexible with drop-off and pick-up, and it was Immedietely clear when we arrived that she is a true dog lover- Winston was already all over her for scratches and kisses. 🐶 She sent daily updates and photos and I could tell he was happy, smiling, sniffing, exploring and having the best time! She truly treated him like her own dog and with some of the pictures she sent, she could start her own pet photography business. I will definitely be booking Yin again and highly recommend her!

Ben was amazing with our dog Aster! We did a meet and greet beforehand and left Aster with him for 3 nights. He gave Aster tons of attention, walks, and playtime. Ben made sure to keep us updated with tons of pictures and messages. If you're looking for someone who will love your dog like their own, Ben is the guy to go with!

Could not be happier with the care they showed to my pup when I left her with them for just under a week. It was my first time leaving her behind, and she is just young puppy which can be a handful. I got plenty of updates on my dog’s activities and she was always very happy in every image or video I got. They were also extremely accommodating when I had some last minute timing issues. All in all, it was a relief to know my puppy was in good hands while I was out of the country.

Abby was amazing! Her response time was excellent and she was exceptionally transparent about her services. This really helped us determine if she would be a good fit for our dog. He can be a little challenging to care for but she was incredibly accommodating, understanding and flexible. Abby is very professional and attentive. She did a great job of sharing pictures and updates during the boarding. She followed all of the care instructions perfectly. I look forward to booking her again - we had a extremely positive experience and our dog loved staying with her!

Ivis was absolutely wonderful to deal with. First, she was quickly responsive and so easy to communicate with. Second, she sent very cute photos, which I appreciated. But mostly, when my flight home got canceled last minute, she helped me tremendously by being flexible and keeping Biscuit one more night. I have no words for how much I appreciated it - one less thing to stress about as I redid my travel plans!!

We had such a wonderful experience with Fernanda! Willow was instantly comfortable and clearly had the best time. We got frequent updates throughout her stay, and it was so sweet to see how much attention and care she was getting. They played games with her, taught her new tricks, and really went above and beyond to keep her happy and entertained. Their daughter was also incredibly sweet with Willow, which made the whole experience even more special. We felt completely at ease knowing Willow was in such loving hands and would absolutely book with them again.

Jennie house sat for my pit bull (who has a history of reactivity), and we’re so appreciative of her help! Our dog was immediately at ease with her. She was attentive, thoughtful, and sent lots of pictures. She took great care of our dog and we would highly recommend her!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
