“Thank you so much for watching Harley! I could tell immediately that she felt comfortable/trusted you when I dropped her off and it made such a difference in allowing me to enjoy my trip. She’s already eaten the treat you sent her home with.”

“Aurora was great with our dog Hailey! She stayed with her for more than two weeks and we got a lot of pictures! It was the first time Hailey stayed with someone else then family or friends, so we were anxious at first. We would book Aurora again, she also took the time to do a meet and greet upfront.”

“The best experience I have ever had with a sitter! Christina was extremely flexible and communicative! She provided photos of our pup having the best time all weekend and frankly our dog was less than impressed with us when we picked her up. Will definitely be booking her again.”

“Geraldine was very easy to work with, I can tell that my dog really enjoyed his time with them and he was really cared for, which I truly appreciate. The only feedback is that I wish she would give more proactive updates, but I would definitely let her watch my dog again.”

About: I’ve been caring for family pets for over 10 years and have developed a deep understanding of the attention, patience, and love that animals need. From daily walks and playtime to feeding routines and basic grooming, I’ve helped care for dogs of all ages and personalities. I’m comfortable handling pets with different energy levels and temperaments, and I always prioritize their safety and well-being. I know how important it is to find someone you can trust with your furry family member, and I treat every pet like they’re my own. I just graduated from Suffolk Law and will be home studying for the bar exam all summer! Having furry friends around is a great way to unwind and recharge from studying! Your dog’s safety is my top priority every step of the way. I take great care to make sure each pup is safe, secure, and stress-free! Whether we’re on a walk, playing in the yard, or hanging out indoors.

“Kimberly and Brian were wonderful! They took sent lots of updates and pictures of my pup and took great care of him. With a senior dog who has to take medication morning and night, it was a relief to have him in such good friends. And he and their dog, Lola, became buds by the end of it. Would absolutely recommend them!”

“Guillermo was awesome. He was flexible with our drop off and pick up times, sent us plenty of updates and our pup came home exhausted from his stay (the best possible outcome!). I would totally book with him again.”

“Megan was wonderful throughout the entire process. We got picture updates every day and he was absolutely loving all the walks and cuddles. Absolutely would recommend.”

“Zelun was so good with our dog. We will definitely be using zelun in the future. He sent lots of photos and had great communication. He also brought Iggy on many adventures each day like the park and nice walks!”
“Jing has great communication! She was great with my elderly dog and gave her her medicine when needed. My dog looked happy the entire time and was in a great mood afterwards!”

“Lori provided excellent care to our dog, Apollo, while we were away on vacation. She was very communicative, provided regular updates and sent a lot of great photos and videos! I would highly recommend her and will ask for her help again. Thank you so much, Lori!!”

“Lynne took such great care of Napoleon. Napoleon is a senior dog with diabetes and cushings disease and Lynne had never given insulin shots to a dog before but took it on without fail! Napoleon came home super happy and healthy. We are so thankful to have found Lynne to care for our little old man while we went away for the week.”

“We were super happy with our pups latest stay with Tiffany and Steve. It’s clear that they care a lot about the pups and are awesome at sending updates multiple times per day. Will definitely use them again and they come highly recommended!! It was also the first time our pup didn’t cry out of joy when she saw us after vacation, so we knew she was in great hands and loved her stay as well ?”
“Matias was great with my small dog, Beau while I was away last minute for a weekend trip. He’s a kind and trustworthy person and you can really tell he loves animals”

“Our rescue hound, Biscuit, who had a troubled background, spent a happy week with Patrick. Our concerns about leaving Biscuit with a stranger for a week was assuaged by daily photos and videos of our boy happily napping on a bed provided by Patrick and exploring his new neighbourhood enthusiastically. Thank you, Patrick! We shall be calling you again! Dan Cronin, Hank Anderson and Biscuit Somerville”

“Jennifer was amazing and very communicative. Our dog Pepper loved being with her, as she was taken on walks, ball throws and taken care of. We will definitely rebook with Jennifer in the future for our dog care/boarding needs.”

“Julie was amazing, it’s no wonder she has star sitter status! I always get nervous leaving my dog with new people, but she sent lots of pictures and updates about how he was doing. Seymour came home so content and relaxed!”

“Radka (and family) were amazing! Took the time to get to know my dog's needs and really made her a part of the family. My dog is blind so she needs a bit of extra attention and Radka provided it perfectly. had to book with Radka last minute and I was super nervous but she put my mind at ease with lots of photos and informative updates (but not too many either, she read the room well). Overall just the best experience I've had with Rover so far!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Chelsea
Abby was amazing! Her response time was excellent and she was exceptionally transparent about her services. This really helped us determine if she would be a good fit for our dog. He can be a little challenging to care for but she was incredibly accommodating, understanding and flexible. Abby is very professional and attentive. She did a great job of sharing pictures and updates during the boarding. She followed all of the care instructions perfectly. I look forward to booking her again - we had a extremely positive experience and our dog loved staying with her!

Ivis was absolutely wonderful to deal with. First, she was quickly responsive and so easy to communicate with. Second, she sent very cute photos, which I appreciated. But mostly, when my flight home got canceled last minute, she helped me tremendously by being flexible and keeping Biscuit one more night. I have no words for how much I appreciated it - one less thing to stress about as I redid my travel plans!!

Patti is wonderful! She took great care of Bear - he didn’t even want to leave when we went to pick him up! We loved getting sent picture updates of their hike, and appreciate our attentive she was to Bear’s needs. Will definitely be reaching out to Patti again in the future!

Jennie house sat for my pit bull (who has a history of reactivity), and we’re so appreciative of her help! Our dog was immediately at ease with her. She was attentive, thoughtful, and sent lots of pictures. She took great care of our dog and we would highly recommend her!

Haowen and Yi were amazing! They kept us updated with tons of pictures. We can tell they took very good care of our high-energy golden, she came home very happy! We will absolutely use them again in the future. I highly recommend them for any pet parents who are nervous to leave their pets! You won’t be disappointed!

I absolutely would recommend Chantel again. She took such good care of my cat and sent numerous videos and photos to me while I was away. Her home was clean and organized and gave me a rundown of how she runs stuff during a booking which gave me confidence in knowing my cat would be okay. She kept me updated with any information I may need to know and was very responsive and quick in het replies. I would book her again anytime!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
