About: I have 2 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all sizes. I’m comfortable administering medications and have experience working with anxious pets, ensuring they feel safe and at ease. I use positive reinforcement techniques and tailor my care to each dog’s unique personality and needs. Your pup will be in loving, attentive hands! I have completed the Red Cross Pet First Aid course in order to be prepared for any events that may occur. I work a flexible, remote job so I am available to tend to your babies as needed! My daily schedule starts at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 10:30 p.m., but I'm flexible to your needs! I have a large, private porch with plenty of potty spots for your baby, as well as a park within a 5 minute walk if that is what your pet needs. My dog, Juniper, will be a great companion for yours!
“Elizabeth and Rodrigo took amazing care of our dog while we were away for 6 days. He’s getting older and can be a little anxious, but he was totally comfortable in their home. They sent us tons of photos too, which we loved since we missed him. I’d absolutely recommend them as dog sitters.”

“Cody was a fantastic sitter for our pup while we were away for a long weekend. She provided great daily updates and was incredibly kind, flexible, and communicative when our pup experienced some separation + thunderstorm anxiety during his visit and when we experienced flight delays on our return trip home. We will definitely re-book with Cody in the future!”

“Chloe had a great time with Rachel and her dog Mya! She was very flexible with drop off and pick up times and sent lots of pictures! Very convenient location across the street from a dog park too.”

“Jim was great, our dog Oli came back from his stay happy and tired. Jim was also very flexible when we had to extend the stay and was very communicative. Highly recommend!”

“Logan and her dog Gus were wonderful with my golden. Logan has a natural confidence and calm presence that the dogs respond to immediately — they listen to her and clearly feel comfortable around her. She handled everything with ease and professionalism. I felt completely at ease knowing my dog was in such capable hands. Highly recommend!”

“Zach was fantastic! He came through for us last minute when our other sitter cancelled last minute. He watched our dog Nugget for the weekend, and was flexible, communicative, easy to work with, and very attentive to our needs and directions. We'll definitely use him again.”

“I’ve used Caroline a couple of times now and Buddy is well taken care of here! Caroline has a backyard for the doggos and Buddy never has any issues when I pick him up. She’s a great doggy momma and sitter.”

“Lynne was fantastic when we needed someone last minute on NYE!! She was attentive to my pup’s sensitive stomach, and sent tons of photos and updates. Thanks, Lynne!!”

“Elliot and his wife took great care of my dog during the first week-long trip I've taken without him. They were thoughtful and thorough during a meet-and-greet before the stay, provided photos and details all throughout the trip, and made sure he got back safely at the end of the week. I'll definitely be looking to book with them again for any future trips — thanks you two!”

“Tiffany and Steve were great! I received frequent updates and they responded very quickly when I had questions. It was my first time leaving Mully for boarding and I knew he'd be safe and happy with them! They also take the cutest pictures. :)”
“Kerrin and Chris were amazing with our dog Lizzie—she had an absolute blast staying with them. They sent daily pictures, which gave us total peace of mind, and it was clear she was being cared for like part of their own family. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!”

“Erin saved me after I needed a dog sitter last minute because my dog hurt is his back and couldn't take a trip with me. She kept me updated every day on how he was doing and handled giving him his medications with no issues. It was such a relief knowing he was in good hands during a stressful situation. Thank you so much, Erin!”

“Andy did a great job caring for Wally! He was very communicative and sent lots of updates. Wally had lots of walks, playtime, and time spent relaxing—and came back home a very happy pup! I highly recommend Andy!”

“Steven was great with our dog. We boarded her with him for a long weekend She is a nervous girl and often barks at new people. When I dropped her off he took her leash and her treats and immediately got her to sit and calm down. During her stay with Steven he sent us photos, which I appreciate. When I picked her up she was in good spirits and wagging her tail which is always a good sign. We will definitely be using Steven's services again.”

“Karen is the best! Our dog gus is a big puppy who can demand a lot of attention and Karen did a fantastic job making sure he was always busy, going to dog parks and sending updates on how he was doing while we were gone for a couple days. We will absolutely have Karen watch Gus in the future!”

“Dayna is the best dog sitter we have ever had! We are apprehensive leaving our Cavapoo with anyone but were getting constant pictures and updates that helped ease our nerves. When we got him back we weren’t sure who had the better vacation, us or him. Thanks Dayna!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - South Boston
Leah was absolutely incredible, and I couldn't have asked for a better first boarding experience for my puppy, Luna. As a first-time puppy parent being away for several days, I was naturally a little nervous, but Leah went above and beyond to make sure Luna felt comfortable, safe, and happy every step of the way. Leah was incredibly caring, thoughtful, and attentive to Luna's needs. Not only did she take her on neighborhood walks, but she also arranged fun outings where Luna got to socialize with other people and dogs, which she absolutely loved. Leah sent multiple updates and photos every day, so I always knew how Luna was doing, and her communication was consistently prompt and reassuring. The entire experience was seamless from start to finish, and it gave me so much peace of mind knowing Luna was in such wonderful hands. I would book with Leah again without hesitation and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will truly care for their pet like their own.

I am so grateful to have found Laura to take care of Thea. From the very beginning, Laura made sure Thea was comfortable and treated her like her own. This was the first time I’ve ever had someone outside of my family watch Thea, so I feel so lucky to have found someone so great. She provided daily, detailed updates and photos, and went above and beyond. Anyone would be lucky to have Laura take care of their pup!

Azizah is truly one of a kind! She’s been Chico’s babysitter for the past four years, and I honestly couldn’t imagine trusting anyone more. Chico absolutely adores her, and it’s clear she loves and cares for him as if he were her own. The peace of mind I have whenever I leave the state is priceless. Knowing Chico is safe, happy, and receiving the same love, attention, and care that I give him makes all the difference. That’s something you simply can’t put a price on. I feel incredibly lucky and grateful to have found Azizah. She’s reliable, compassionate, and genuinely exceptional. Thank you, Azizah, for everything you do and for loving Chico so well. We appreciate you more than words can say. See you soon!!

Mindy is amazing! She came through in a pinch on the day of. My sitter plans had fallen through, and she responded to me right away, and on a holiday weekend no less! She was super communicative, giving me pictures of my Pippin and updates multiple times through the day. She was really attentive to him and seemed to understand his needs to a T. I will most definitely use her again and I cannot recommend her enough.

Could not ask for a better sitter! My cat stayed with Chantel for ~9 days and was happy as ever when I picked him up. Chantel was kind, communicative, and flexible during pick-up and drop off. She has a beautiful home and is very knowledgeable about cat health, behavior, and care. When I dropped him off, she showed me all of the toys, tunnels, trees, etc. he would have access to, made sure I was comfortable with his feeding and drinking areas, noted the ways she helps/lets her guests adjust and get comfortable in her home and with her, etc. All throughout, she sent lots of pictures and videos to keep me updated, and spent lots of quality time with my little guy. At pick-up, she went over detailed notes she had taken over the stay about his behavior, adjustment to her home, eating habits, potential concerns, and more. She also made sure his litter box was clean and all of his supplies were ready to go when I got there. I had never hired a cat sitter before and was unsure about leaving my cat in someone else's home, but could not have found a better person to trust with the task, and absolutely hope Chantel is available the next time I go out of town. I cannot express how nice it was to know my guy was safe, comfortable, and well cared for during my vacation (truly I think it was a lovely vacation for him too)!

Julia was amazing! She agreed to watch our pup for a long holiday weekend with very little notice. She went out of her way to make sure he had a great time, especially in the midst of a heatwave when she took it upon herself to take our pup swimming (checking in beforehand to make sure it was alright with us). She really went above and beyond. She's great at communicating and our pup loved her! Will def rebook.

Fionna was extremely communicative and caring. Our dog chuy had a hot spot when we dropped him off and she made sure to look after it and keep us updated on the progress. She gave Chu plenty of walks and welcomed him into her home as one of her own. Her dog Oyster is very cute and got along with Chuy! Would definitely recommend.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
