“Julie was amazing, it’s no wonder she has star sitter status! I always get nervous leaving my dog with new people, but she sent lots of pictures and updates about how he was doing. Seymour came home so content and relaxed!”

“Rachel had my dog for three weeks. I was a little apprehensive As I have never left him that long before. She sent pictures every day. And he looked so happy in each one of them. 10 out of 10 would book with Rachel again. My dog was really happy there”

“Ester loved her weekend with Emily, Dan and Thomas! They treated her like family and kept us in the loop the whole weekend with updates and photos, which we loved. It was clear Ester was happy and comfortable the entire time. We would absolutely use them again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for caring, attentive pet sitters”

“Christina was amazing! I booked last minute and she was eager to take care of Beru for the weekend. She sent lots of photo updates. Beru has some quirks and Christina was more than capable and happy to accommodate Beru’s personality. Would 100% book with her again!”

“Nalix was everything we wanted out of a pet sitter: prompt communication, accommodating, good care of our dog, and convenient dropoff and pickup. We will use Nalix in the future!”

“Leah was absolutely incredible, and I couldn't have asked for a better first boarding experience for my puppy, Luna. As a first-time puppy parent being away for several days, I was naturally a little nervous, but Leah went above and beyond to make sure Luna felt comfortable, safe, and happy every step of the way. Leah was incredibly caring, thoughtful, and attentive to Luna's needs. Not only did she take her on neighborhood walks, but she also arranged fun outings where Luna got to socialize with other people and dogs, which she absolutely loved. Leah sent multiple updates and photos every day, so I always knew how Luna was doing, and her communication was consistently prompt and reassuring. The entire experience was seamless from start to finish, and it gave me so much peace of mind knowing Luna was in such wonderful hands. I would book with Leah again without hesitation and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will truly care for their pet like their own.”

“Lyn is the best. Thoughtful, considerate, and loves our furry baby. Our few months living in Cambridge wouldn’t have been the same without Lyn watching our little Rosie. ?♥️”

“Guillermo was absolutely amazing with our dog, Lola. He took such great care of her and kept us constantly updated with messages and photos, which really put us at ease while we were away. It’s never easy leaving your pet behind, but Guillermo made the whole experience completely stress free. We could tell Lola was happy, comfortable, and very well cared for the entire time. We’re so grateful for his attentiveness and kindness, and we would 100% trust him with Lola again. Highly recommend!”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover and proud dog parent to my 3 y/o toy poodle🐩. As a dog mom who regularly meet & socialize with other dogs and their parents, I understand that every pup has their own personality, routine, and needs, and I treat every dog in my care like they are my own. At home, I provide my pup with homemade meals, daily walks, plenty of playtime, and fun adventures like hiking and paddling. As your dog’s sitter, my goal is to create a safe, comfortable, and loving home environment where they can maintain their normal routine while enjoying lots of attention, exercise, and companionship. During the stay, I’ll make sure your pup receives personalized care, including any special needs or preferences, and has a wonderful time making a new furry friend with my toy poodle along the way! 🐾🐶 I'm currently working full-time on a hybrid schedule. Caring for my own dog is already part of my daily routine after my 9–5, from walks and playtime to making sure he feels happy and loved. Your pup will easily fit into our routine and receive the same level of care and attention. I provide a loving, safe, and comfortable home where dogs are treated like family. Caring for my own toy poodle is already part of my daily routine, including walks, playtime, feeding, and special care. For every pup I care for, I prioritize maintaining their normal routine, following feeding instructions, accommodating special needs, and providing plenty of attention and exercise. My goal is to make your dog feel at home while enjoying a fun and stress-free stay with my toy poodle as a companion.

“Luna loved Gabrielle and her dog. She took wonderful car of Luna while I was away, and kept updated at needed. Quick to respond and easy communication ! Luna seems to already miss her new dog friend.”

“Irina asked questions to make sure she was well informed about Zoey’s needs and preferences and during the time she had Zoey, she sent great daily updates and photos and videos - Zoey seemed to be having a great time! We are so happy with Irina’s care with Zoey - highly recommended!”

“Pluto had an amazing time with Ruya and Aybark! I was nervous to leave him in boarding as he has separation anxiety, but they took such good care of him and made him feel at ease. It was also very easy to keep in touch and they sent pictures of him throughout his stay. Overall, a great experience!”

“Joseph did a wonderful job with my 4 month old puppy Penny. She is a lovely young girl, but can be a handful and is not completely house trained. He showed patience with her and was wonderful for me to interact with. I will be using him again.”

“Lynne took such great care of Napoleon. Napoleon is a senior dog with diabetes and cushings disease and Lynne had never given insulin shots to a dog before but took it on without fail! Napoleon came home super happy and healthy. We are so thankful to have found Lynne to care for our little old man while we went away for the week.”

“Elliot and Jo are fantastic with Ghira. We always have such peace of mind whenever we leave her with them as they have a lot of experience with dogs (and ours has some special needs). From the photos we get, it feels like Ghira is also on her own vacation and loves them”

Matias was fantastic with Canelo! He sent photos and updates throughout the stay, which I really appreciated. Canelo was a bit shy on day one but Matias made him feel right at home, and by the next morning he was confidently playing with other dogs. Pickup and dropoff were smooth and easy to coordinate. It’s clear Matias genuinely cares about the pups he watches. We’ll definitely be rebooking!

Phillipa was wonderful. She was easy to communicate with throughout the entire process of booking, meet and greet, and during the stay. She sent tons of picture updates which was so appreciated. She really seemed to enjoy dogs and spending time with them. My pup was relaxed and happy during the stay.
I highly recommend Krystal & William!! I have a mini-husky, Emmy, who loves to play with other dogs, but is shy and timid around humans. I recently moved to Boston and was very nervous finding a new sitter for Emmy. I talked to many other services and ended up going with Krystal upon meeting her in person - and she did an amazing job - taking excellent care of Emmy while I was away on a week long trip. Photos, videos, trips to the good dog park, special treats, and excellent perfect communication. Highest recommendation!
Brooklynn and Adam are amazing!! My dog is anxious and leash reactive, but he had no problems staying with Brooklynn. She made sure to walk him in quiet areas during less busy times, and her home is quiet and peaceful, which I'm sure helped Monty a ton. She had no problem giving him two different medications every morning, and he got so much love all weekend. We got so many pictures of Monty snuggling with Brooklynn and Adam - so cute! It was like he went to the spa for the weekend - we would love for her to watch Monty again!

Jacqueline was wonderful with Mengmeng! ❤️ She took such great care of her and kept us updated throughout our trip. We could always tell from Mengmeng’s happy little face how much she enjoyed her time with Jacqueline! 🥹 We’re so grateful and would absolutely book with her again! Highly recommend! 🐶💕

Ben cared for our senior dog Hazel for over a week while we visited family. He was excellent and we could tell Hazel was having a blast. We get worried leaving her with sitters because of her age and being a rescue, but Ben was very sweet, caring, and asked all the right questions before we dropped her off. I‘m hoping we can have Hazel stay with him many more times while we’re in the neighborhood.

Lauren was absolutely amazing in watching my dog Bennington for 3 days. She was very professional, even from the beginning of the booking process by allowing for a meet and greet, which helped put my mind at ease. During my dog’s boarding, Lauren communicated with me multiple times a day, by providing pictures and videos. By viewing those pictures and videos, I had never seen my dog so happy and relaxed to be staying with someone else. She provided plenty of attention and care to my puppy. Lauren is truly the best and she made me feel like I left my best friend in the right hands. I will definitely be rebooking in the future!

Emmy had such a wonderful stay with Sonia! Sonia took great care of her, gave her lots of love and attention, and kept us updated while we were away. It was clear that Emmy was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. Sonia was kind, reliable, and genuinely loves dogs. We would absolutely trust Sonia with Emmy again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and dependable sitter!

We needed a pet sitter at the last minute, and Tyler and his wife were incredibly accommodating! They kept us updated throughout our dog’s stay, which made us feel completely comfortable knowing he was in great hands. We highly recommend Tyler and Caro to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter. Thank you both again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
