“Aislinn is the best! This is my second time booking with her and she is extremely accommodating. She sent me updates with pictures after each visit with my cat Sandy and went out of her way to refill her water dispenser each time which was very much appreciated! Overall, I couldn’t recommend her enough and I will continue to rebook with Aislinn.”

“Maria took great care of my cat Theodore! Loved all the photos she included from her visit with him while I was away and she was excellent at communicating any questions she had.”

“Jenica was amazing and so kind!! She took such good care of my cat Goose, sent lots of pictures and updates, and I had peace of mind knowing he was in good care. 10/10 would love for her to take care of him again!”

“Lisa checked in on my cat Keke on short notice and was wonderful! She gave detailed updates with lots of photos and I came back to a healthy happy cat! I could tell Keke loved playing with her! I highly recommend Lisa for your pet care needs. Thank you!”

“Caroline was communicative, punctual, and followed all of my instructions. My cat seemed very well taken care of when I came back. Her litter was clean, as was her food bowl, she was well fed, and relaxed.”

“Katherine took care of my two cats when I was out of town for a weekend. We had a meet and greet beforehand. She was very responsive and communicative about her visits. Even though I had no preference over timing, every morning she let me know what time she would stop by. After every visit she sent pictures and a written note of how the cats behaved and what food she gave them or what toys she had them play with. She was super patient with my shy kitten, who was getting over an upset tummy at the time. She gave him the probiotics as instructed and managed to get pictures even when he hid under the bed, and by day three he had warmed up to her! I definitely felt she took care of them as if they were her own cats, would book her again without a doubt.”

About: I grew up with 5 dogs, now have 2 at home with my parents and one of my own in Boston with me. Willing to walk and exercise dogs twice a day. I provide lots of love and care for any animal I am around, can also help with other animals in the house, if need be. Spent a summer working in a veterinary office taking care and looking after all animals, can give medications and pay special attention to the needs of dogs. Full time working professional but willing to work out any schedule needed to take care of your pets! Would love to get to spend time with dogs while I am away from mine, so always eager to take on the sitting/walking/running challenge! Also as an added bonus always willing to take cute photos of your dog and send them along to you! I am currently a full time working professional. Am available for check ins and walks as my calendar allows and it will be updated weekly. I care for my clients pets the same way I would care for my own. I always call my clients pets my pets away from home and will provide only the best exercise, care, and love that they deserve.
“Haley was awesome during her drop in visits with our 2 year old golden retriever, Jerry. She had great communication and sent a lot of pictures, and he was clearly excited and happy to be with her. Highly recommend booking with Haley!”

About: I grew up with 2 cats and a greyhound and have pet-sat and walked dogs for friends and neighbors from a young age. Throughout college, I volunteered in dog care at the local shelter, walking puppies and senior dogs alike. At the shelter, I also got experience in safely caring for dogs with behavioral challenges, such as resource guarding and dog aggression. Having worked as a vet assistant and being a current vet student, I am comfortable sitting for pets that need regular medications. I’m home for summer vacation! Without school, I have plenty of time to spend caring for your pets. I work per diem as a vet assistant, so I’ll keep my calendar updated as I pick up shifts. I’ll be leaving Boston again in mid-August. I am happy to care for your pets however you see fit! I can take dogs on walks or play with them in yards, and I can crate your dog if needed.
“Juliet is amazing! She was super flexible and accommodated our last minute request. She took plenty of pictures and communicated with us throughout. We would trust her to take care of our Alfie any day!”

“Owen was very communicative, highly dependable, and did an amazing job with the cat visits. I highly recommend him and would definitely seek him out again in future”

“We had just moved to Boston and needed a needed a dog-sitter on short notice for our Great Dane pup, Gordon, and David crushed it! He is super-patient and confident with our big boy and expertly communicative. David will always be our “go to!””

“Ainsley was fantastic with our in home visits with our dog Tuukka. She always sent me pictures and was great with responding in a timely manner. Thank you Ainsley!”

About: What sets me apart from other dog walkers is my experience working with a wide range of dogs, thanks to my time volunteering at a dog shelter. There, I handled dogs with varying levels of difficulty and learned to follow established procedures for their care and well-being. I’m skilled at adapting to each dog’s unique needs, whether it’s working with high-energy pups or shy dogs. My focus is always on providing a safe, structured, and compassionate environment for every dog. I work remotely part-time, so my schedule is quite flexible. I am available from Sunday through Friday, generally from late morning through the early evening. When caring for pets in your home, I follow their daily routine, providing scheduled feedings, fresh water, walks, exercise, playtime, and lots of affection. I ensure your pets feels comfortable and maintain their normal routine. My goal is to keep your pet safe, happy, and well-cared for.
“Rachel watched our cat Moon for three days while we were gone for a wedding. She did an amazing job taking care of him. Moon is a very social cat and she went above and beyond in keeping him company and entertained. Every day she sent detailed updates and really put us at ease while we were away. We hope to have her watch him again in the future :)”

About: Dedicated to providing reliable, safe, and personalized dog walking services and pet care for your four-legged family members, of all sizes. I have owned pets since I was 8 years old and I’ve been walking dogs and caring for pets since 1995, with a deep respect for their well-being. Your pet’s happiness, health, and safety are my top priorities — they deserve the very best! I’m a work from home professional that is an animal lover, and I don’t feel like my schedule allows me to have a pet of my own. While not traveling for work a few days out of the month, I’d love to make sure your four-legged family members have a reliable and caring solution while you occasionally cannot be with them. Happy to answer any questions! I have several references I can provide from folks in the immediate Boston area where I have cared for their pets while they are out of town for work demands in the short term or when they need to be in the office. Happy to be flexible between the midday hours and allow you to have a last minute or a fairly regular solution to your pets care needs.

“Catherine was wonderful! She arrived on time, walked Ellie as planned, and sent text and photo updates. She also asked questions such as where the best place to walk is and how Ellie does around other dogs— I so appreciate that attention to detail and care in anyone I leave my dog with. I already have booked her for a second walk!”

Juliet was great! She was very communicative and made sure my cat was well taken care of. I was nervous leaving my cat alone for a few days but she made me feel so much more comfortable because I knew Tuna Melt was having a great time. I’d definitely recommend her!

Caroline is an amazing cat sitter. She is communicative, kind, helpful, and very responsive. This was our first time using her and I was quite nervous as all our family around had been heading out of the country. Caroline put all my worries at ease! i highly recommend her!
I can’t recommend Jessica enough! Jessica did a great job taking care of our asthmatic cat, Cash, who needs medication twice daily. She was communicative, reliable, and friendly. Cash was clearly well cared for and played with for the 8 days we were out. We will definitely be reaching out to her again!

Kyle is a caring, communicative pet sitter who took wonderful care of our cats while we were away for 6 days. We really appreciate his flexibility and attention to detail. Our place was spotless when we returned, and, more importantly, our cats were calm - they acted as if we had never left! This was most likely due to the level of care (and love) he provided them. We really appreciate the effort he consistently made and will definitely rebook his services in the future.

We recently adopted a kitten who needed human socialization. We had Dunks on a good trajectory and Dani did a great job while we were on our trip. She also helped Logan, our older cat, feel like he was still important too! We came home to two incredibly happy cats!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
