About: While I’m new to Rover, I’m not new to caring for pets. I’ve had two cats for the past 4 years and have pet sat for friends and family when they’ve needed help. I’m reliable, responsible, and happy to follow whatever routine and instructions help you and your pet feel most comfortable. I’ll make sure your pet gets plenty of attention and care, and I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages so you can relax while you’re away. I work full-time (6am-2pm) as a scientist, so I’m generally available for afternoon, evening, and weekend visits. My schedule can be flexible though to accommodate for early morning visits. I’ll always be upfront about my availability and make sure I can give your pet the time and attention they need before accepting a booking. I use Rover myself so I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet and entering your home. I’ll always follow your instructions carefully, keep your home clean and secure, and make sure your pet gets the attention and care they deserve. Whether it’s a walk, playtime, or just keeping them company, I’ll make sure they feel comfortable until you’re back. I’ll also send plenty of updates and photos so you never have to wonder how they’re doing.
“Jenin is the best!!! Truly so trustworthy and I know I can trust Jenin to take the best care of my Forky!! Jenin always sends pictures and writes such a nice summary with detail. Thank you Jenin!!!”

“Piper was great with my two shy cats! They warmed up to her quickly. She was very communicative and I knew they were in good hands. Would highly recommend!”

“Amanda was absolutely fantastic!! My cats both have health conditions and need medicine every 12 hours. Amanda always did her check ins really promptly and was super communicative throughout, really going the extra mile several times. I'm always a little nervous leaving my very old cats and she put my mind totally at ease. I would definitely have her back again and again!”

“Rachel was so good with Fergus and was very communicative while I was away! I loved that she came over for a meet and greet beforehand to make sure she knew where everything was. Would definitely book her again!”

“Lingwen was super responsive and communicative, it was great that she was able to accommodate a last minute request. She also did a great job with the drop-in visit and took great care of our cat, I would definitely recommend her!”

“Liz is incredible and did an amazing job with our wiggly puppy! I loved that she had us do a meet and greet as well during which she took time to get to know Maisel and took notes on her care. Liz clearly takes this job seriously and cares deeply about the animals she is caring for.”

About: I grew up with 2 Yorkies and bulldogs! I love dogs with my life. Dogs are like family to me. One of my Yorkies (they both live in my hometown) passed away recently due to her age, so I do know how to properly take care of dogs even when it comes to senior dogs or even puppies. I am always available to take care of dogs! I live with my boyfriend who works at home so he is available in case I’m not home. I go to law school so sometimes it does get busy but I’m always happy to take care of a baby (pet)! I take care of pets at my home by providing them a place for them to be able to sleep comfortably and play with their toys. I also think that talking to them calms them down and makes them more comfortable. Dogs are really smart and they do understand rules if you explain it to them!
“We could not have asked more from Sloane. She was great throughout the whole process! I really enjoyed how thoughtful, caring, and attentive she was with our kittens. She also kept us updated sporadically during the days we were gone. Thank you for taking such good care of our cats!”

“Elsa was great! We just needed a few drop-ins for our cats while we were gone for the long weekend. Elsa was on time, followed medication instructions for our old(er) cats, fed/watered/cleaned their box as needed, locked up and set our alarm when she left, and sent us plenty of pics during her visits. No complaints! It was our first time using Rover so this was a good first experience. We definitely recommend Elsa.”

About: Hi there! I’m a recent Tufts grad transitioning to post-grad life in Boston. My experience with pet care includes previous dog & cat sitting/walking services, caring for family and friends’ pets, several years of 4H obedience and agility training with my childhood dog, and volunteer dog walking services all throughout college. I am experienced in caring for a range of dog/cat breeds, ages, sizes, and needs. I have experience dog-sitting for puppies under 1 year, my childhood dog is now 14 years old, and my new roommate has the cuddliest cat. Outside of pet care, I am starting a new full time job (work from home), and am available to adjust my schedule accordingly for housesitting or drop-in visits. I’m no stranger to customer service, with 5+ years of restaurant experience under my belt, and I will strive hard to deliver the same 5-star care for your furry friends & home - complete with regular updates and pictures too! I currently have full time availability for drop-in visits, extended day time pet care, as well as overnight pet care. Starting August, I will be working from home MWF and in-person T/Th. I am eager to find clients interested in finding a long-term pet care provider to work into their daily/weekly routine. As a guest in your (and your pets’) homes, I aim to be as unobtrusive as possible. My priority is to provide excellent pet care while blending into your daily routine. I will try my best to follow "Leave No Trace" guidelines during my stays as well.
“Erin did a phenomenal job watching my two cats while I was away. She was patient and understanding of their shyness. She was able to give my cat with asthma her inhaler, even though the cat is still learning. She was clear and communicative on updates and pictures. I have more travel coming up and am so grateful I have someone to trust with the kitties!”

“Alicia was communicative and punctual with her visit. My cat gets lonely on his own, and she sent me pictures of him looking very happy having some playtime and a belly rub (his favorite). She adhered to the instructions I left for her and she was caring and attentive. I came home to a happy cat and that makes me happy! I have already booked Alicia for a future visit and I can enjoy my vacation knowing my cat will be well taken care of.”

“We're so happy to have connected with Emily not only because the cat likes her and does well spending time with her, but she's such a pleasure to work with--responsive, reliable and very conscientious, kitty-focused and attentive to detail. We found a great fit!”

“Wonderful pet sitter. She too great care of our animals including one of our cats that is on three times a day meds. Very responsive and sent many updates and pictures.”

“This was my second time booking Gabrielle, and once again she took wonderful care of my cat, Kali. During the heat wave, she went the extra mile by making sure the AC was turned on when needed and even refilled Kali’s water bowl with ice to keep her comfortable. She even complied with some of my cats tantrums to keep her happy while I was away, and I was especially grateful that she was available over a holiday weekend. Thank you so much for taking such great care of her, I really appreciate it!”

“Emily did such a great job with Ziggy and Smokey! She was consistent, attentive, and super communicative. I felt like my babies were loved and well cared for while I was away.”

“I’ve been on this app for many years and have a myriad of sitters, however this is the best experience I’ve had. Noelle has been an absolute legend! She's so communicative, incredible with the old and fragile Spaniel or the bizarre and unwieldy chihuahua. I’m grateful for people like Noelle that make time away from our treasured roommates so stress free!”

“Carson and Paige took great care of my elderly kitty while I was away. They gave her a lot of attention and interaction, and took care of all her needs. I highly recommend them!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Charlestown
Nicole was an amazing pet sitter and extremely reliable throughout the three days she cared for my cats. She always arrived at the agreed time, stayed for the full 30-minute visit, and was very attentive to every detail. She carefully fed them and made sure their automatic litter box, water fountain, and feeder were all working properly. She also sent me plenty of pictures and updates, which gave me so much peace of mind and allowed me to enjoy my trip knowing my cats were safe and well cared for. I would absolutely recommend Nicole and would be very happy to book with her again!

Aash is the perfect cat sitter, as always she took amazing care of our girls and they loved seeing her! Our very shy cat even sat in her lap, and she doesn’t even come out for strangers. I will always book Aash and you should too for the best possible care your cats can get!

Annaliese was incredibly thoughtful, caring, and attentive to my kitten. I truly could not have asked for a better pet sitter. She went above and beyond to make sure that Skippito was happy, comfortable, and loved. In addition, she was very communicative and kept me in the loop with how my little guy was doing the entire duration of my trip away.

I can’t say enough good about Yu. She was so sweet with our kitty, spent lots of quality time with her while we were gone, and sent us so many wonderful videos and photos! I would absolutely hire her again. She was extremely flexible and understanding as my schedule kept changing. 10/10 recommend!

We couldn't have asked for a better cat sitter! From the moment we met at the meet and greet, it was clear that our cat was in caring, capable, and experienced hands. Not only did Jenin provide lots of love, attention, and regular updates while we were away, but she also confidently administered our cat's insulin injections twice a day with great care and professionalism. Knowing that our diabetic cat was receiving the correct medication on schedule gave us complete peace of mind, which is priceless when you're away from home. We have already booked Jenin for our next vacation, knowing that our cat will be very well cared for while we are away.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Charlestown. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
