“Arianna was amazing with my two cats. I had booked the visits last minute but she was flexible and communicative. I received a a thorough update of each visit. Will definitely book with Arianna again!!”

“Emily was wonderful when I was out on a vacation!! My automatic litter box kept getting stuck when I was abroad and she was patient with the device the whole time. She even checked the home for any accidents from my cat and was reliable with her check-ins. This was also a last-minute booking and she squeezed it in her schedule. Highly recommend thank you again so much!”

“Savannah was great with my 7-month-old puppy! Good communication, on time, provided pictures, took her on nice walks, played with and handled her appropriately. Think that my pup liked Savannah more than me Will be using again, would recommend!”

“Tiffany and Steve are great. They provided thorough updates and took great care of our kitties! The litter boxes were well tended and I could tell they had received a lot of attention and play. I would recommend them in a heartbeat!”

“My dog is new to town and can be skittish, but Shantae was absolutely great with him. She was patient in the beginning and soon Pedro was playing with her and having a blast. She was communicative, helpful, and a great sitter/walker. Looking forward to using her again!”

“Kyle came over before I left to get the lay of the land and asked several questions that indicated he clearly knew about administering medications to cats. While I was away, he succeeded in overcoming her usual aversion to strangers and was able to give her the meds she needs each day as well as taking care of her food/water/litter needs. He did an excellent job.”

“Marissa was very responsive and on top of all communications. She gave great updates! My cat tends to get shy around new people, but she really took a liking to Marissa! It was nice knowing my cat was in good hands while I was away.”

“Emily is amazing and truly loved pups. I truly felt so safe having her there and in our home! I’m definitely excited to work with her in the future and I’m super grateful for her.”

“Erin was awesome with our two cats! She sends lots of pictures and they definitely love spending time with her. She’s great at communicating and super reliable!”

“Elizabeth took amazing care of our dog, Ruby. She visited multiple times a day for walks, food, playing and cuddles. It was very calming during our vacation that Ruby was in such good hands. Highly recommend Elizabeth!”

“Melissa did some drop ins on our cats over Christmas week and it was a huge relief knowing we didn’t have to worry about them while we were gone. She cleaned the litter boxes, fed both of them, and gave one their daily medication. I would definitely book her again! Thank you Melissa!”

“Serena was super helpful and responsive. She took great pictures and kept us updated all weekend so we had nothing to worry about. Definitely recommend booking with Serena!”

About: I’ve taken care of all types of dogs for most of my life. I raised, trained, and took care of 2 very different dogs of my own starting 7 years ago. One of them is a rescue with his own specific needs and quirks so I am experienced with reactive and nervous dogs. I also have cared for many other people’s dogs. I’ve walked and care of senior dogs and helped with their unique care needs. I am attentive, responsible, and genuinely enjoy building bonds with the animals I care for. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and happy while you are away. I am currently a part time retail worker, so I have plenty of time and a flexible schedule for carrying for your animals. I am available for walks and in home visits everyday of the week, and I am flexible and easy to reach to set up the exact plan for your animals. I am very aware that each and every pet are very different. That’s why I am attentive and detail oriented in order to properly care for your pet in the way that it needs.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - East Boston
Rachael was an incredible drop-in sitter for our cat, Sylvie, while we were away for an entire week. Our cat was very happy when we returned home, clearly from all the play-time, brushing, and cuddles she had been receiving. Rachael sent daily updates and photos, and she went out of her way to check in about things we had not discussed. We're excited to re-book Rachael in the future, and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone to love their pet!

As always, Josh was exceptional. Lots of pictures and detailed updates, which I appreciate as an anxious cat mom! Both of my cats love him, even my super shy guy who hides from everyone. Josh is super communicative and reliable. Highly recommend him as a sitter.

Emma was FANTASTIC! She took care of our kitties like they were her own and truly went above and beyond. She was communicative, caring, respectful and attentive throughout our entire trip. She even stayed longer to make sure our shy guy was comfortable enough to eat his dinner—and by the end of the weekend, he came out to see her! 🥹 We felt so comfortable knowing our cats were in such good hands. I would highly recommend Emma to anyone looking for top-notch, loving care! If I could give 6 stars I would!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in East Boston. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
