“Rebecca communicated well before we met and throughout the weekend, as well as provided adorable photos and updates during her visits. I would recommend Rebecca to anyone looking for a great pet sitter!”

“Caitlin provided excellent vacation care for our nervous dog. She coaxed him to take his medicine, go on adventurous walks and play in the yard with her while we were away.”

“Karen was amazing with my 2 cat babies!! Loved getting the photos from her and knowing they were being taken good care of. Good communicator, very kind person, and loves animals. Would most definitely recommend and will definitely book again! :)”

“Matilde was so great, my favorite sitter I've had on Rover so far, and she really made me feel like my cat was taken care of. She went above and beyond to make my cat feel minimal disruptions to my absence, and was so sweet about sending pictures and updating me on my cat's behaviors. Definitely gonna be my new go-to sitter in the area”

About: - experience training puppies and older dogs - know how to deal with rescue dogs and cats or those with special needs I love animals and grew up with two rescue dogs! I have taken care of foster cats here and there and now proudly have my own cat that is friendly with dogs! I am a student so I am home most of the time. I regularly take my own dog to the dog park everyday and can do the same for your fur baby if that is part of their routine. I will do my best to follow any pet care instructions and understand that each pet may have their own ticks :) I have a car, so getting to and from places should be no problem! I have my own dog that is very friendly and not food aggressive. So i am accustomed to taking care of him daily and look forward to possibly having buddies around to accompany us on our daily routine! Buster gets 4 walks a day, fed twice a day, and taken to the dog park daily. I care for them to the best of my ability constantly reinforcing training commands learned and love and affection! I do not use crates or kennels. I always have a variety of freeze dried treats for my dog and cat.
“Julia was fantastic- we really loved her watching our two cats! It was important to us that they have play time and attention while we were away, and they clearly loved her.”

“Yuting was super easy to communicate with and extremely prompt on her reply (especially with myself needing the check-in about 40 minutes ahead of schedule). On top of that, I had complete peace of mind that she was the one checking in on my old man (cat), especially after reading her profile and a brief chat with her. Extremely happy she had availability for me, and definitely will be booking again!”
About: Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, and caring for them has become second nature. Over the years I’ve cared for everything from my family’s golden retriever to my Maine coon cat, to bunnies and horses. I’ve also fostered dogs of all ages, from wiggly puppies to seniors needing extra patience and support. Those experiences taught me how to adapt quickly, read animal behavior, and respond calmly in any situation. What really sets me apart is the way anxious or shy pets open up to me. Many families have told me, “Don’t be surprised if my dog keeps their distance,” only to come home and find their pup happily curled up at my side. Building that kind of trust — especially with nervous animals — is one of the things I love most about this work. I bring a calm, steady energy that helps pets feel safe, understood, and cared for like they’re my own. As a PhD student, most of my days are spent working from home, which gives me plenty of flexibility for walks, playtime, and check-ins throughout the day. And I’m happy to work from your home if I’m house sitting! Please note for fall 2026 I will need to go to campus on Mondays and Wednesdays and would be gone for 6-7 hrs those days. On rare occasions when I have a longer day on campus (8 hrs), I will let you know before booking. That way, we can create a plan together to make sure your pet is cared for without interruption. My goal is to provide consistent, reliable care you can feel confident about. I treat every pet as if they were my own. At your home, I’ll respect your routines and preferences, making sure pets feel safe and secure in their familiar space. Safety is always my priority — I’ll keep a close eye during walks, follow your instructions carefully, and ensure your pets feel comfortable and cared for.
“My dog, Rosie, LOVED Tira! Rosie can be pretty tricky: she's not the easiest to walk because she doesn't like other dogs and likes rabbits/squirrels a bit too much, but Tira put me at ease right away. Tira clearly has had years of experience with dogs; she knew exactly how to handle Rosie to keep her safe and happy. Will definitely be booking with Tira again soon!”

“Sara & Ari are everything you wish to have in a Rover. We feel confident knowing our dog is in the best of hands with them! They’re attentive, spend ample time to ensure proper care, and always leave detailed reports with photos for us to look at. We can’t thank them enough!”

“Caroline did a great job checking in on my cat while I was away on vacation. She kept everything neat and tidy, paid attention to detail, and was fast/prompt with any communication. Would definitely recommend and will rebook if needed in the future.”

About: I’ve been caring for pets since I was 10 years old, starting with my neighbors’ dogs and cats and growing into years of hands-on, dependable experience. I’m comfortable caring for pets of all ages, temperaments, and routines, and I always prioritize their safety, comfort, and happiness. In my own home, I helped raise my family dog, a black lab named Rosie, from when she was a 3-month-old puppy to now a 12-year-old senior. This gave me experience with everything from puppy training and high-energy play to senior care and patience. I also recently adopted two kittens and have been raising them for the past six months, so I’m very familiar with kitten care, feeding schedules, playtime, and gentle handling. Additionally, I help care for my roommate's sick cat by administering IV fluids as well as oral medication. This has given me valuable experience taking care of animals that need extra support and medical care. I treat every pet as if they were my own and make sure they receive attentive care, affection, and a stress-free experience while their owners are away. I'm a recent college graduate from UMass Amherst, so I have plenty of free time to provide care for pets during the days and for overnight visits. When caring for pets in my clients’ homes, I follow their routines closely so pets feel comfortable and secure in their familiar environment. I carefully follow all care instructions, including feeding, walks, medications, and household rules. I’m always mindful of safety by making sure doors and gates are secure and keeping a close eye on pets during each visit. I respect my clients’ homes, keep spaces clean, and provide regular updates so owners feel informed and at ease while they’re away.
“Jazmin is my go-to, for good reason! She’s attentive to my cat and keeps things clean and fresh, and has gotten to know her play habits and desires over the years. 12/10 recommend!”

“We used Illeanna for a last minute trip, and she was amazing once again. She kept us updated and sent us photos throughout, which we really appreciated. We highly recommend Illeanna. Oscar absolutely loves her!”

“Nathan was fantastic! I was concerned because my dog has some separation anxiety and we weren’t sure how she would do, but Nathan’s visits, updates and photos truly put me at ease. He took her to hang out with some of his regular dogs he works with and she did great and had fun. I will DEFINITELY be reaching out to Nathan again in the future and I highly recommend him to anyone else in the area. Thank you, Nathan!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Medford
Kayala was truly wonderful; this was the first time I had spent more than a day or two from my (scaredy) cat, and having Kayala come and take care of her gave me huge peace of mind. Kayala is highly responsive, compassionate, and was a true joy to work with. Could not recommend her more highly.

This was our first experience with a pet sitter since moving to the United States, so I was a little nervous about leaving our house keys with someone. I was also worried because my English is not very good and I wasn’t sure if I would be able to communicate my wishes clearly. However, she was incredibly kind, caring, and clearly someone who truly loves animals. She made us feel completely comfortable and gave us great peace of mind while we were away. I would absolutely ask her to take care of our precious cats again in the future. Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of them!

Meg was a fantastic with our two older cats who require a little extra in their age, and they both warmed up to her immediately. She easily took on daily meds for one who can be difficult and gave lots of attention overall to both cats. She was very responsive and sent great updates so I didn't worry at all. She even swept up litter and did kitty dishes before she left! Thank you, Meg!

Amanda took great care of Sasha and even went the extra mile by scooping her litter box and providing fresh water (when all I asked was for her to give new wet food)! She sent lots of pictures and I came back home to a happy cat. What I appreciated most about Amanda was her ability to read and respect Sasha's boundaries!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
