“Rebecca communicated well before we met and throughout the weekend, as well as provided adorable photos and updates during her visits. I would recommend Rebecca to anyone looking for a great pet sitter!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 12. My family has had 4 dogs (Australian shepherds!) and my current dog is special needs and requires more intense care. I have a special love for dogs, and memorized all the breeds when I was 8 years old! I will care for your dog as if it was my own, and im always happy to help you and your pup! I work remotely (one day in office) and live in Medford ma. My lease doesn’t allow for dogs, but I LOVE them so much. I am able to pop over for a quick walk during the day, or work from your home. I could go over any time after 5 for a longer walk during the week, and weekends I am available (if I have no plans prior) I like to be cautious with pets that I watch, keeping them on leash and being careful about open doors. I’ve watched some dogs who can’t be trusted off leash, and unless there is a fully fenced in yard I keep extra close attention. I love to spend time with pooches and make sure they are as comfortable as they can be, because I know dogs get sad when their owners are gone!
“10/10 would highly recommend booking with Natalie! This was my first time using a sitter for my cat and Natalie made me feel so much more at ease with the care she provided. She was super communicative, sent lots of pictures, and was flexible with my schedule. I'll definitely be booking again with her in the future!”

“Emma was great to work with and cared for our cat as if she was her own while we were away for a few days. She was super flexible when we asked to change one of the drop-in times, so it was nice to know that my cat was able to stick to a good meal schedule. Will gladly have Emma cat-sit for us again!”

“Yuting was super easy to communicate with and extremely prompt on her reply (especially with myself needing the check-in about 40 minutes ahead of schedule). On top of that, I had complete peace of mind that she was the one checking in on my old man (cat), especially after reading her profile and a brief chat with her. Extremely happy she had availability for me, and definitely will be booking again!”
“Karen was amazing with my 2 cat babies!! Loved getting the photos from her and knowing they were being taken good care of. Good communicator, very kind person, and loves animals. Would most definitely recommend and will definitely book again! :)”

About: Hi! I’m a pet lover in my 30s who works from home in higher education, so I have a flexible schedule for walks, drop-ins, and keeping your pets company during the day. I’ve had dogs my entire life and am currently the proud parent of an almost 10-year-old rescue pup. Life with a rescue has taught me a lot about patience, reactivity, fear, and giving dogs the time and space they need to feel comfortable. I understand that not every dog wants to be everyone’s best friend right away, and that’s totally okay! I’m happy to follow their lead and your instructions. I’m also a former cat parent, so I’m very comfortable with cats - whether they want playtime and attention or would prefer that I fill their food bowl and respectfully mind my own business. I’m responsible, dependable, and genuinely love spending time with animals. I’m doing Rover as a side gig while saving for my wedding, and getting to spend my flexible WFH schedule walking dogs and hanging out with pets feels like a pretty great way to do it! I work from home and have a flexible schedule, so daytime walks and drop-ins fit easily into my routine. As a dog parent myself, pet care is already a big part of my day! I offer dog walks and drop-in visits for both dogs and cats. I’ll follow your pet’s usual routine, whether that means a good walk, feeding, playtime, medications, lots of attention, or simply giving them some space. My goal is to keep them safe, happy, and comfortable while you’re away!
“Daphne was great! She was super responsive, on time and reliable. She took really good care of Harley and Harley had so much fun getting a nice walk and extra attention. Would definitely book with Daphne again!”

“Matilde is an attentive, friendly, and reliable pet sitter. She sent great detailed updates and photos of our cat, Frankie, while we were away, and even came by early to meet us before our trip. Frankie has some special dietary needs and Matilde made sure she was cared for, while also giving her plenty of cuddles and attention. We highly recommend her for pet sitting needs and can’t wait to have her take care of Frankie again!”
“Jazmin was wonderful dropping in on our two cats while we were away. She sent photos and was responsive when necessary. She was very organized and left our home in the same condition we left it, and followed our feeding / litter cleaning / treats schedule as requested. Our cats were happy when we came home after 2 nights as opposed to standoff-ish in relation to us leaving. Jazmin is very trustworthy and we’d love for her to drop in on the cars again the next time we go out of town!”

“Monica was really great when she came the first day and the key didn’t work! We were able to work together for her to find a way in so we didn’t have to come back early from vacation. She came for exactly 30 min and hung out with our cat and he was taken care of which is all we can ask for.”

“Nate has been awesome with our dog, Sadie. She can be fearful, but it was very clear at the first meeting that she was comfortable with him right away. He’s very attentive and communicative - sends pictures and videos during his visit, which we love. We will be continuing to have him watch Sadie on a regular basis and occasionally day care and overnights!”

About: I love taking care of dogs and just hanging out with them. I work full-time onsite so I am only available after or before work hours to take them on walks and for stay over. However my husband works from home who also loves dog to keep them company during the day! I have a full time onsite job so I am not available during the day however my husband works from home so he is available. I love going for walks or runs in the mornings/ evenings before/ after work so I can take your dogs on walks as well. I love playing with them, and can give them a lot of attention. I live in a 2 bedroom apartment without a yard so, I can only take care of small dogs. They have plenty of places to roam around in the apartment. There is also a dog park and a 2.5mile loop near me where i can take them for playtimes and walks.
About: I am a Certified Dog Trainer (Catch Canine Trainers Academy), and I have a first aid for pets certification. If you want to entrust your dog to a compassionate professional, I'm your guy. I am a dog trainer, and pet parent, and I have some extra availability for dog walking. If you live near me I can fit you into my schedule. As a dog trainer, I am very experienced in pet care. I train dogs in all my interactions with them, out of habit, but also because I wan't them to have happy lives.
“Tira took care of our cat, Skittles, for a week while we were traveling. She took wonderful care of her and is a great communicator. We received daily updates and photos. Skittles was so happy to see her and enjoyed her visits. I would definitely recommend Tira. :)”

“Caroline was available during a busy time of year and super flexible to accommodate a 30-min visit with my cat, Ms. M. We scheduled a quick check-in visit beforehand and she met Ms. M for about 30 minutes, reviewed any instructions, and I left her a set of keys. I appreciated having someone to make sure my cat had a bowl of wet food and some company while I am away for a week. Caroline was also flexible in setting up a time to handoff my spare set of keys. All and all it was a smooth experience and I’d recommend Caroline to others looking for cat care!”

“Safyah was very attentive with Luna and Bliss during her drop-in sessions. She asked lots of questions during the initial visit and took lots of photos. It was great having her take care of the cats over the holidays.”

“Abbey is AWESOME! She's our new go to sitter, we feel very lucky to have found her. To start she's very genuine so you trust her immediately - not only did us humans feel that way but our 'I only like mommy' cat warmed up to Abbey from the moment she walked in the door. She handled the medication and feedings with no problem and clearly was looking forward to having some hang time with our guys. And she's a great photographer - we got a mess of fun photos each day. We just hope she sticks around the area!”

“Lindsey was great with my two pups. Twila is only 6-months-old and she's quite shy, while my other dog Chester is just over two-years-old. I had Lindsey do check ins the first week we got Twila as I was adjusting my work hours to accommodate a new puppy. Lindsey was timely, caring and patient with both of my dogs. I highly recommend her!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Medford
Kat was wonderful with Lumi! Her experience in taking care of kitties meant she knew exactly what questions to ask when we did our meet and greet. She knew how to play with Lumi, clean the litter box, brush her coat, and give treats as needed. Kat was reliable and gave great updates that we enjoyed reading. She left our place clean and tidy. We highly recommend Kat!

Bonnie is an absolute gem! She is always communicative, patient and caring with our sassy cat Otis. He gets very anxious while we’re away but with Bonnie we know he is in the best of hands! There is no one else we would trust quite like Bonnie with our little guy ☺️

Emma was very helpful in coordinating logistics for watching our cats, and went above and beyond during the visits, even cleaning up some messes our cats made while we were away. She also sends nice visit summaries and photos of the cats after each visit. 5 stars!

We were visiting Boston to see friends in from out of town for the wknd and going to be away from our hotel during the day. Rita took such good care of our golden both days. It gave us peace of mind to see photos of our baby smiling on her outings with Rita and that she was having some fun while we were away. Rita fed her dinner and played with her in the room too. We will definitely reach out to Rita for help again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
