About: I've always loved animals - I grew up around them on a small farm, took a couple years of animal science schooling, and currently volunteer on the Canine Enrichment team at a local shelter. Throughout these experiences, I've helped care for all kinds of animals with all types of needs. I'm no stranger to administering medications, helping dogs settle down, and knowing when a puppy "needs to go." I work freelance from home - so I have tons of flexibility to work around your pet's schedule (or, your hectic schedule!). Just a few exceptions: -> I volunteer once a week at the animal shelter on Mondays from 12 to 2. This is the only hard-and-fast time that I need to be out of the home. -> I do run a morning route with other animals. This means your pet will be alone for between one to four hours per day. Otherwise, there is almost always someone in the house. -> Sundays and Mondays are marked as unavailable for default on my calendar, but that's just because I can't help during midday. I have evenings available, though! All boarding appointments will have a free Meet and Greet so we can screen for prey drive to ensure the safety of both animals. - If you're booking a boarding appointment for one dog, I might accept a boarding appointment for a second dog from a different family that is a similar size. If you'd like exclusive access to the house, please say so! - If you're booking for a cat, we will not book a new dog at the time that you reserve without your express permission. They will only stay with other cats and small animals. - While my yard is technically fenced, your dog will always be leashed and taken on walks for their safety.

“Bryn did a great job! She was wonderfully calm and patient when we did our meet and greet, letting my dog calm down and then come to her before trying to interact, quickly gaining my dog's trust. She was able to take my slightly excitable old pooch out for a pee break and guide her past other dogs in the complex without incident. She checked the water bowl and gave me good feedback. Communications have been prompt and thorough.”
About: Animals have always been part of my life. I grew up surrounded by pets and have experience raising cats and dogs from kitten and puppy stages to adulthood. I’m also the proud mom of a sweet 8-year-old cat who keeps me on my toes. I work remotely, so I have some freedom to come and check on your pets throughout the day. When entering another home, I make sure to let any pets have plenty of space and time before I approach them so they don’t feel that their safe space is being violated. When I stay at clients’ homes, I always make sure to leave everything the way I found it or better. I am very comfortable with extra safety measures if the client wishes (video monitoring, extra locks, etc.)

Valerie took great care of our 6 kitties while we were away. It was a tall ask with lots of instructions. She handled it like a pro and was able to administer meds twice a day to our oldest, most skiddish boy. I felt confident that the kitties were in good hands.
Victoria is so kind and patient with my 14 year old grumpy cat who needs meds. I used to be very hesitant to leave town, but my multiple experiences with Victoria watching my cats has made that hesitancy disappear. She is communicative, respectful, and most important of all I can that she cares about my pets.

Can I give ten stars?? I am so happy we had James to look after our kitty while we were on a rare family vacation!
