About: I have been around pets for as long as I can remember. I have two labradors, one 14 year old and one 4 year old, so I have experience with puppy’s and elderly dogs! I have always been in charge of taking the dogs on walks, and I have been covering for my sisters Rover dog walks when needed :) As of now I am unemployed for the summer, so I have a lot of availability! I am going on a couple short trips this summer, and will be going to the University of Miami in August, but other than that I am very available! I lived in a suburb until moving to Boston this month, so I am familiar with both yard and city environments. We used a crate until my dog was about 2, I like to keep them leashed and close to me, and I always keep their waters full!
“Serena was super helpful and responsive. She took great pictures and kept us updated all weekend so we had nothing to worry about. Definitely recommend booking with Serena!”

“This is our second time booking cat sittings with Jenin and she's been amazing. Super easy to work with and sends a bunch of great photos and updates each visits. Couldn't ask for a better experience!”

“Emily is very responsive and was super helpful in taking take of my young pup on short notice! She followed instructions perfectly and I came home to a very happy puppy. I highly recommend booking with Emily!”

“Piper was great with my two shy cats! They warmed up to her quickly. She was very communicative and I knew they were in good hands. Would highly recommend!”

“We could not have asked more from Sloane. She was great throughout the whole process! I really enjoyed how thoughtful, caring, and attentive she was with our kittens. She also kept us updated sporadically during the days we were gone. Thank you for taking such good care of our cats!”

“Erin was great!! My cat can be temperamental and easily overstimulated, he seemed to do really great with her. She went above and beyond of what was asked of her. I got lots of pictures every day of what the two of them were doing. It was nice to come home to his automatic feeder being full, and his litter tray from his automatic litter box emptied. She was very friendly when meeting her, I would absolutely trust her again and rebook in the future. :)”

“Alicia was communicative and punctual with her visit. My cat gets lonely on his own, and she sent me pictures of him looking very happy having some playtime and a belly rub (his favorite). She adhered to the instructions I left for her and she was caring and attentive. I came home to a happy cat and that makes me happy! I have already booked Alicia for a future visit and I can enjoy my vacation knowing my cat will be well taken care of.”

“Elizabeth was great with our cats! She was very understanding of their needs and patient with them as they got to know her. Her communication was always thorough and right on time. We would definitely recommend her!”

“Nathan was fantastic! I was concerned because my dog has some separation anxiety and we weren’t sure how she would do, but Nathan’s visits, updates and photos truly put me at ease. He took her to hang out with some of his regular dogs he works with and she did great and had fun. I will DEFINITELY be reaching out to Nathan again in the future and I highly recommend him to anyone else in the area. Thank you, Nathan!”

“Rachel was so good with Fergus and was very communicative while I was away! I loved that she came over for a meet and greet beforehand to make sure she knew where everything was. Would definitely book her again!”

About: I’ve pet-sat in the past, from birds to hamsters to cats and dogs. My own pup, Kody, is 10 this year and keeps me on my toes. I have experience with special accommodations as my own pup has trouble eating (he’s missing part of his jaw). I understand how hard and worrisome it is to have to find someone to take care of your pet when you’re away which is why I joined rover! I’m mostly remote so I can go over to your pet at a moment’s notice! I usually use the T or e-board over. Sometimes have my car and can use as well. I like to give pets their own space and time to get to know me. I like meeting the pet with the owner prior so we establish a relationship prior. I know how stressed they can get and want to give them the care and humanity they deserve.
“Wonderful pet sitter. She too great care of our animals including one of our cats that is on three times a day meds. Very responsive and sent many updates and pictures.”

About: Hi there! I’m the person your pet’s Instagram-worthy weekend adventures dreams are made of — or, more realistically, someone who’s spent the last 15+ years genuinely loving animal care, one walk/cuddle/treat at a time. A little about me: I rescued my French Bulldog Potato and had 3 amazing years with him before losing him recently. He’s a big part of why I keep showing up for other people’s. What I offer: • Drop-in visits • Boarding in my own home • Care for dogs, cats, and guinea pigs — all breeds, sizes, and personalities welcome I work a standard 9-5 during the week, so I’m most available Fridays, weekends, and Mondays. I’m flexible and always tailor my approach to what your pet actually needs, not a one-size-fits-all routine. If you’re looking for someone who’ll treat your fur baby like their own, let’s talk! I am currently working a full time job Monday-Friday. On Monday and Fridays I work remotely and am available. On weekends I am fully available. You can expect regular updates and attention to specific pet need. I also understand pets with separation anxiety, so you can expect me to be fully around for your pet.

“This was our second time booking with Gabi and just like last time, she took such great care of our girls! She was so mindful about making them as comfortable as possible that when one of my cats was feeling a bit shy, Gabi gave her a treat to reintroduce herself. Love the thoughtful and carefulness that Gabi has when checking in on my cats. Will be my go-to sitter from now on!!”

“I was away for a little over two weeks, and Lolo took wonderful care of my cat, Murphy. She sent me lots of pictures that clearly showed how happy and content he was, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. Lolo also kept me informed about any shedding or minor issues like hairballs or throw-up, and regularly checked in about his overall health and wellness. Her communication and attentiveness were incredibly appreciated, especially during such a long trip. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter for Murphy.”

“Carson and Paige took great care of my elderly kitty while I was away. They gave her a lot of attention and interaction, and took care of all her needs. I highly recommend them!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Charlestown
Ella has been taking care of Charlie for the past few months, and I feel so lucky to have found her. She is incredibly dependable, kind, and has such a gentle, caring nature. From the very beginning, she treated Charlie as if he were her own, and that means the world to me. Knowing Charlie is with someone I completely trust gives me so much peace of mind. He’s always excited to see her, and it’s clear she genuinely loves what she does. Ella is reliable, thoughtful, and always keeps me updated, which I really appreciate. I can’t recommend her highly enough. If you’re looking for someone who will care for your dog with love, patience, and genuine attention, Ella is truly wonderful.

I’d absolutely book Hannah again! Both of my cats have multiple medications and she took great care to get everything right. She was even able to give Bodhi his insulin injection on her first night! She was very communicative and sent lots of photos of the cats and photos of their leftover food (particularly helpful for Rosie, as we had just changed her to a new diet). I didn’t worry about the cats once while we were away. I knew they were in good hands!

Stacy was an amazing cat sitter! Very detail-oriented, reliable, and caring. Our cat absolutely loved her, and the regular updates and photos gave us so much peace of mind and kept us sane while traveling. We came home to a happy, well-cared-for cat. Highly recommend Stacy!

I’ve trusted Monica more than once, and she is truly a wonderful pet sitter. She treats both your home and your pets as if they were her own, with so much care and love. It's such a comfort knowing everything is in great hands while you're away. I highly recommend her, and I will definitely continue to be a repeat customer!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
