Couldn’t recommend her more - she is great with cats and i assume all other animals too :) thank you Alyssa!!”

About: I’ve been caring for animals of all shapes and sizes since middle school, and I’ve had a cat of my own since I was 15. As a professional beekeeper, I’m comfortable getting my hands dirty and handling high-stress situations! I’m also a runner, so I’d be happy to take your dog on a run or an extra-long walk if they need to burn some energy. I have a flexible schedule as I am currently a student in grad school. Please let me know if you have any specific availability requests! I’ve cared for my cat Archie for 11 years and am experienced with health issues, prescription diets, and anxious behaviors. I’m quick to notice changes and respond appropriately, and I’ll bring that same care to your pet.
“Nate has been awesome with our dog, Sadie. She can be fearful, but it was very clear at the first meeting that she was comfortable with him right away. He’s very attentive and communicative - sends pictures and videos during his visit, which we love. We will be continuing to have him watch Sadie on a regular basis and occasionally day care and overnights!”

“Elena was a great cat sitter. It was really important to her that she get to know our cats a bit before we left for our trip. While we were away, we felt very confident that all was in good hands. We highly recommend Elena!”

“So wonderful to have met Lynne! She was great with my anxious dogs and I appreciated that she did the meet and greet and got to know them ahead of time! They currently can't be at home alone and so it was great peace of mind to be able to leave them with her. We'll definitely be booking again. Thank you Lynne!”

“Was incredibly attuned to my lil anxious Winston, provided consistent helpful feedback & was just overall a perfect pet sitter for my baby boy! I was nervous using rover for the first time, and Rachel exceeded my expectations & went above and beyond. Will be working with her again!”

About: I've taken care of all kinds of dogs from young to old, big to small, lively to mellow, since I was young. I grew up with dogs in the household and moved on to dog-sitting for neighbors and friends. I have experience taking puppies to training school and working with food-oriented and play-oriented dogs. I'm currently working four days a week, typically through the weekend, so I'm happy to play with your pup anytime on those off days (usually Wednesday, Thursday and/or Friday). My My apartment sadly does not allow pets, but I am happy to take your dog out and about for a stimulating walk or play with your puppy at home.
“Stacy was awesome! She took great care of our cat Griff while we were away. She was super communicative and sent regular informative updates. Highly recommend!”

“Thomas & Emma watched our puppy for 3 days which included 2 drop in visits per day. They were incredibly attentive, trustworthy and communicative. They even went above and beyond given the snow to have paw fits and pad balm to help goose in the snow/ice. Would rebook their service in a heartbeat!”

“This was my second time booking Gabrielle, and once again she took wonderful care of my cat, Kali. During the heat wave, she went the extra mile by making sure the AC was turned on when needed and even refilled Kali’s water bowl with ice to keep her comfortable. She even complied with some of my cats tantrums to keep her happy while I was away, and I was especially grateful that she was available over a holiday weekend. Thank you so much for taking such great care of her, I really appreciate it!”

“I’ve very happily re-booked with Lily (for daily check-ins on my cat while we’re away) twice now! She always gives our little Peanut lots of love and playtime. I’ll be eager to book with Lily again!”

About: I love spending time with and taking care of my friends’ pets whenever possible! I’ve been trusted to cat sit (drop ins with Benji or Tiki for a couple of days at a time) and dog sit (cared for little Teddy at my apartment for two weeks while his parents were away) for my friend’s furry little ones on several occasions. While I love having fun with the animals in my care, I will always prioritize their safety when I am with them. In addition to loving my friends’ pets, I spent a year nannying for families with dogs whose care I was entrusted with. I looked after (picked up from day care, walked, and fed) two golden retrievers (Kody and Bella) as well as 8 month old Vizla puppy, Yofi! Spending time with them was the highlight of my days and I can’t wait to have a pup in my own home. I’m a student and available early mornings, evenings, and weekends! I also have time during the day to drop in on your pet or take them out for a walk! I’m a student full-time but I have some time before, between, and after classes every day! My weekends are pretty free, they just require a little bit of extra planning to make adequate time for your pet. I will always follow your rules/routines while your pet is in my care, whether it is in my own home or at yours. I will always treat your pet the way I would want mine to be treated. I will also communicate as frequently/infrequently as you’d like, I make it a habit to keep pet owners up to date with our activities!

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Cambridge
Liza was wonderful with my two cats. She was easy to work with and accommodating about minor scheduling changes (time to meet, request for an extra visit, etc.). She was attentive to detail and asked important follow-up questions to be sure she could take good care of my cats. Most importantly, she showed up when she said she would, won over both cats, and paid plenty of attention to them and gave me important updates. I can’t wait to book her again!

Most reliable, genuinely caring and competent cat sitter I have worked with in years! Can’t even imagine what I would do if we had to move and Leo was not around to look after my kitty when I am away. I have already written several reviews for Leo, but wanted to add another shoutout!

Amanda did a great job cat sitting for my two cats while I was away. She was very communicative and sent many photos which I appreciated a lot! I came home to two very happy and cuddly kitties, which means the world to me. I would highly recommend Amanda as a pet sitter.

Had my first drop in with Emily and she was so reassuring! She sent me pictures and updates during the drop in and was very in tune with my dog’s temperament. She genuinely cares about you and your dog!! If you are looking for someone to trust your dog with, Emily is the person!

Aash is the perfect cat sitter, as always she took amazing care of our girls and they loved seeing her! Our very shy cat even sat in her lap, and she doesn’t even come out for strangers. I will always book Aash and you should too for the best possible care your cats can get!

Kira was an amazing cat sitter. While taking care of my cats for a week, she provided detailed updates and multiple pictures each visit. She also left everything clean and tidy. She is a very sweet, dependable, caring person who I highly recommend! Thank you for everything Kira!!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
