“Shawn dropped in to take care of our two cats multiple days during our long vacation. It was a huge relief knowing they were in good hands and getting photos each day. She followed our detailed feeding instructions that involved wet food with medication mixed in, and measuring out dry food on a scale. She also gave us detailed updates on their behavior and it was clear she really cared about their comfort and mood while we were gone. Thank you Shawn, would definitely book again!”

“Meg did a great job! She came over for a meet and greet so the dogs would feel comfortable. She sent lots of photos and detailed updates. I was completely comfortable being away knowing they were in good hands. I will definitely book Meg again!”
“Blane was a wonderful cat sitter! He dropped in everyday and made sure my cat was loved while I was out of town. He sent lots of pictures and a paragraph describing the visit. Thank you Blane!”

“Hillary was a great find in the "eleventh hour" of my search for service. She dropped in and took really good care of my dog while I was far away for the day. I felt confident from our first texts and Hillary's generous effort to come to my home for a meet n greet. Hillary followed through with great communication, lots of photos and follow up texts. I would call her again in a heartbeat and highly recommend her services ! Thank you so much!”

“Charlotte is great! Our cat loves her and she always gives 110%. I really appreciate how communicative she is and I feel confident she’s giving our cat the best care.”

“Caroline did a great job checking in on my cat while I was away on vacation. She kept everything neat and tidy, paid attention to detail, and was fast/prompt with any communication. Would definitely recommend and will rebook if needed in the future.”

About: I am a freelance artist by trade, I'm looking to earn some supplementary by putting to good use my love of animals and experience as a lifetime pet owner. I have been the primary caretaker for animals basically my whole life, growing up alongside furry siblings as long as I can reliably remember, including several dogs with behavioral issues such as separation anxiety and jealousy problems. My mother trained as a vet tech and taught me a lot, and is always happy to help even now if I need an extra hand or some expert advice. I have trained dogs, including potty training and dissuading problem behaviors (excessive barking, begging for food, etc.) I have experience caring for dogs in individual, group, and playgroup settings and love all animals. I cannot drive but I can engage in light to moderate dog walking just fine! I use public transport and ridesharing to get around. If you have any further questions about what might be within my wheelhouse feel more than free to ask! As a freelance artist, my schedule for work is fairly flexible and I can plan around pet care time and stays away from home with a lot of freedom, making it possible for me to keep my schedule fluid and make the animal in my care the priority of my routine. I have an apartment in Arlington I spend most of my time at but it's not the best for pets so for boarding jobs I visit and make use of my parents home in Winchester. They and their dog love the company! It has a fenced outdoor area where dogs can easily run, play, and of course go to the bathroom. It is accessible via a basement door and most dogs get the hang of it pretty easily (but I am happy to provide extra help for dogs who struggle with stairs or need other extra accomodations.) It is also home to my parents who love furry guests, and of course Emma, an extremely friendly and patient English Setter who adores playing hostess! I am also of course happy to visit other homes to care for pets, both for drop ins and overnight. I will always take the safety and cleanliness of your home seriously! In other's homes I'm happy to adapt to what resources are available and what areas and routines the dog is generally used to and comfortable with in their own usual environment!
“Samantha was incredibly flexible and I could tell she really cared about Nellie’s health and safety. I think through the week they were able to become friends. I would highly recommend and will most likely be booking with her again in the future if she’s open!”

About: my pets have always been treated as family.. Loving care with plenty of play and walk time. I've owned several dogs and cats over the years and have administered meds, bathed and loved many pets of my own and for friends and family. I work from home so have lots of time to give lots of attention and care as well as walks and play. The dog park is walking distance as are open fields and walking trails. I will care for you pets in my home. I can use a crate if needed but otherwise they will be in the unit with me.
“Will was awesome. Kept us up to date with how our cats were doing every day, cleaned up a mess he found, and sent awesome (usually hilarious) photos. We can tell from the photos how comfortable the cats were with him. Will was great and looking forward to booking him again in the future!”

“Ashley is so good with our anxious pup. He sometimes goes on little hunger strikes, and this was the case when we left, but Ashley was very patient and kind, going at Kiba’s pace and even had fed him some meals. She was very flexible and was able to work with us when we had last minute work travel. This is not the first time we have booked with Ashley and will not be the last!”

About: I grew up owning dogs, cats, birds and fish. I’ve been caring for animals since I was in diapers! Also worked on a farm for years with many other animals. Got my own dog in my early 20’s and have been a pet owner ever since. I take the role seriously and have done a lot of education on training, diets and breed needs. My sister is also a Vet and I’ve learned so many things from her in regards to health and care of animals. I'm well experienced in dog training, and caring for senior or special needs animals. As well as administering medications. I'm a very active person that loves to be outside. I already take my own dog to the park all the time and for tons of walks or play time in my back yard. But I'm also happy to relax at home for any dogs that prefer that as well:) I have a fenced in yard for outdoor play. And I live within walking distance to 2 different dog parks (if that’s something you like). I walk a ton everyday so your pet can get lots of steps in. I own my own dog, and he loves friends! If I’m doing a pet stay they will always have a meet and great first to see if they get along:) Because I am a dog owner, I can accommodate boarding but not house sitting.
“Tira was amazing and immediately put our family at ease. She cared for our cat for a full week while we were out of town for the holidays and was always quick to provide updates and thoughtful suggestions to help make our cat more comfortable. Our cat warmed up to her very quickly—which is rare—and Tira truly went above and beyond in terms of care. She is kind, thoughtful, and proactive, and we sincerely hope she will be available to help us again in the future.”

About: Truly can’t decide if I love cats or dogs more, since I’m lucky to have owned one of each. I'm comfortable with pets of all sizes, cat-sit regularly for my friends and have experience in house-sitting/walking dogs. My love of animals also extends to respecting their need for space and safety which includes reading their cues to determine how to interact with them. I’m more than happy to send photos if you miss them and can water any plants! I’m currently in an online grad program and job searching, so evenings are the majority of my availability. I usually walk or take public transportation to bookings. My cat of 15 years, Daisy recently passed away from cancer. Attending to her declining health and increased medical care was emotionally difficult but I gained experience in giving oral, dermal, and sub-dermal medication. If your pet has medical needs I will treat them with the same care. I enjoy playing with pets who come to me or who simply want gentle pats and to be called silly versions of their name. For those more stand off-ish I give them space and the invitation to connect with me.

Shannon did a wonderful job taking care of our cat! From the moment she came over for a meet and greet prior to cat sitting, Shannon was very warm and caring and had a great rapport with our cat. When we were away she was excellent about coming at the agreed upon time and sending pictures, reporting on our cat, and even bringing in packages. Shannon was great in general at communicating with us—very responsive, friendly, and professional—and we felt assured our cat was in good hands with her. We would definitely recommend Shannon for cat sitting!

Tira was amazing - stepped in last minute when I had a family emergency and had to leave the country for 2 weeks. I contacted her the same day I had the emergency and she responded quickly. During her visits - Prompt and frequent communication, keeping us up to date with her ETAs and how Ellie was. I trusted that Ellie was in good hands even if when I was literally halfway across the globe! She helped us with a potty accident that Ellie had, and was courteous and accommodating of all the HOA rules our condominium complex has. Thank you so much!

Timmy is the best! He did such a great job taking care of my Border Collie Moose. Timmy is very communicative and took better photos of my dog than I have in recent days lol. I appreciate Timmy’s professionalism and I know Moose misses him already. Two thumbs way up for Timmy!

Eleanor was so thoughtful while watching my cat. She started with a meet & greet to make sure things would go smoothly and then gave great updates so I knew how every visit went and the care could be adjusted as needed. I came home to a happy and healthy pet. Thank you!

Betsy did a wonderful job taking care of my kitties! She was attentive to all of them and able to manage their different personalities and needs perfectly. I appreciated her detailed updates. She was very easy to communicate with and reliable - I would definitely recommend her!

Colin was incredibly helpful when we were away for an entire month, checking in on our two cats on our apartment building. He did their food/water, litterbox, and gave them some attention with each visit. They were in good hands with Colin! Highly recommend if you’re looking for help with your pet. Colin was very responsive and communicative during our entire time away.
