If I were caring for the pets at my home, I would make sure that they had their bowls, their bed, and whatever would bring them comfort and what their routine was at home. I have a large backyard, and your dog would never be left alone. If I were caring for an animal at someone else's home, I would ensure I knew the exact routine and what would make their pet most comfortable in their absence.

Information Bonnie K. would like to know about your pet
I, of course, would need to know of any medical/behavioral issues beforehand to ensure that we're both comfortable with the details of the care required. Also, how they interact with other dogs, being reactive in certain situations, or will dart out the door, eat certain things -- anything I need to know ro keep your dog safe. I will do my best to accommodate every dog's special or specific needs,
A typical day
I live in a dog-friendly and positive neighborhood where, for the most part, people seem to know the rules about approaching a pet and asking if it's okay to say hi, so we would most definitely go for walks around the neighborhood. If they are small enough and I get permission, they're more than welcome to come on errands with me. We would talk about what that would look like and what it means. Of course, there would be playing and treats, if allowed, and maybe some games and interaction with other animals if that was the plan. And, of course, just hanging out and giving whatever they need. If there is something you would specifically like me to do for mental stimulation or physical activity or whatever they need, that will all be a part of our day.

Pet care experience
I love animals so much. I've had many different animals—mainly dogs and cats. I lost my 16-year-old senior Yorkie Maltese mix, and I'm devastated. I have wanted to get into Veterinary Care, but I'm not sure I can handle all that comes with that. The next best thing is helping others with their pets and treating them like my own. What I mean by that is I would do anything for your pet to ensure they were okay. I've been giving subcutaneous fluids and medication to my dog, who passed away, for about two years, so that I can do that for you. I also understand the delicacy of a senior dog and feel that I have the experience to make anybody feel comfortable trusting me to ensure the care for their family member. Besides that, I've had animals all my life. I know a lot about them, and I feel like I would be an asset to anybody looking to find a trusted person to put their mind at ease when they can't be there for their pet for any reason. From firsthand experience, I know it's hard to trust someone to care for your pet as you would. I only count about three people total with mine, LOL, but I want to be that trusted person for you. I can handle dogs of any size and any age. I will love them like my own. ** I have one request: when potential pet clients reach out to me, my response time is usually within 5 minutes or less. If I reach out to you, after you reach out to me, I would appreciate a response. If you have found a different sitter or your plans have changed, that is perfectly okay with me; the most important thing is finding someone you trust and are comfortable with. When a request sits in a Rover pending request, the sitter may not appear in the search results for those days you're potentially holding. That can be tough during busy times. I always try to give everyone time before I archive the request. If I do archive your request, please feel free to reach out, and I can restore the request. Also, please note that I have a 100% response rate. I will always respond to a request. If I don't, I'm driving or in a meeting, so don't worry, you'll hear from me!!**

Reviews

Bonnie was amazing! She came by for a meet and greet before we booked and asked so many thoughtful questions. While we were gone she sent detailed updates and lots of pics, and our cats seemed to really like her. She also went above and beyond, offering to do things we hadn’t even asked her to do just to help out. Our power also unexpectedly went out during our trip and she handled that situation very well and kept us reassured that our cats were fine. I will definitely book again and recommend her to anybody!

Bonnie was great. My cat is older and I was nervous about leaving him for the weekend. Bonnie gave great updates and sent happy pictures.

As always, Bonnie took excellent care of my cat Skye, and communicated with me about any issues. I look forward to having her take care of Skye again.

Bonnie cares deeply for our little guy, and goes above and beyond. We are so grateful that she answers the call when we need her!
