“Alyssa has caries out drop in visits with our rabbit and age has done a great job. Checking in daily on him making sure he got food, fresh water, hay and vegstables. Alyssa has been very service minded, responsible, and communicative sending us daily status and pictures. Highly recommending her and I will definitly place a rebooking the next time we need a rabbit sitter.”

“Maeli was able to help us on short notice, which we really appreciated. She even came ahead of time to learn how to take care of our guinea pigs, which meant a lot to us. Since this was our first time leaving our pets with someone else, having someone reliable and trustworthy was super important, and she was great. Everything went smoothly, and I’d definitely reach out to her again if we need help in the future. 🐹🐹”

About: Hi there! I'm Devika and I identify as a certified dog aunt to all pups in the land. In all seriousness, I feel very attuned to dogs, including those with unique, diverse temperaments and needs. I grew up with a family dog, a shih-tzu named Leo, who passed away after a beautiful 14 years. After graduating, I didn't have the resources to commit to a full-time dog as much as I love them. There began my fostering journey during which I cared for 10+ dogs (varied breeds, sizes, and ages), anywhere from a few days to several months. During their time with me as their foster mom, these pups were able to begin acclimating to domestic life and working towards getting ready for their forever homes. Each foster experience was so special and I learned something new from each pup. That curiosity and attentive care is what I bring to dog care. Outside of my endless love for pups, I am a clinical psychology doctoral student which brings a whole other facet to my dog care. With my background in trauma, anxiety, and behavioral interventions, I also bring an astute and knowledgeable eye to caring for animals. This includes trauma-informed care (no restraints unless absolutely necessary for safety), thoughtful approaching, and gently authoritative training (only if indicated). Importantly, I completely respect the autonomy of pet-owners in how they want to raise and care for their pet, and will carry out duties with utmost care and diligence. My top priority is for your pet to feel safe and loved, and for you to have peace of mind while you leave your baby in my care. Please reach out with any questions and I'd love to connect more! I am available on weeknights and weekends to for dog-walking, drop ins, and house sitting. I can dedicate my time to providing your animal with utmost care. I live close to Beaver Brook Reservation and am also able to go to more secluded areas if your dog is sensitive or has other needs. I provide updates during your pup's time with me and am a strong communicator about scheduling. I care for pets in a safe, thoughtful, and generous way. I am able to adapt to the dog's needs, and am happy to accommodate to the level of care you prefer and need. I am so excited to meet you and your pup!
“Natasha was Great! She watched over our 4-month old puppy while we went out on our own for the first time. She got him through the whining and right into playing, training and resting. She took pictures, and gave us a thoughtful report on what she saw, based on her experience in training dogs. Highly recommended!”

“I’m so grateful to have Katie drop in on my dog Joni when I need some extra help! My pup is always so happy to see her, and Katie is extremely friendly and reliable. Joni and I are very lucky to know her!!”

“Anna is the best! We felt so at ease while she watched our cat for a few days. In addition to following our instructions, Anna went above and beyond to send photos, videos, and give our cat a ton of love and attention. We highly recommend Anna for reliable, empathetic pet care.”

About: I'm a veteran providing daycare and boarding, walking and house sitting depending on the dog and owner. The day is generally filled with canine adventures including hikes in a forest and hills, and in the summer, play in dog friendly areas which might even include a pool party and ice cream social! Given the right environment and only with your permission, this can include off-leash time. Pickup and drop-off is almost always available. The quoted price is for a 15 mile range. Extra if farther. ----- Since I was 4, I've been caring for all kinds of animals, especially dogs. At one time as a kid, we had 4 Great Danes! I've had mixed breeds and purebreds, athletes and couch potatoes, puppies, seniors, and special needs. I've also trained them although I've never been certified. Something common that friends say after their dog has spent a week or more with me is "how come my dog is now better behaved?" Your neighborhood or mine, the local park, the dog park, or on dog friendly trails. One dog or many. Having had all kinds of pets, including a 23 year old cat who required daily fluids and Miralax because of kidney failure and old cat dry colon, a dog that suffered seizures, and others. I even had a big 7 pound black and white adult rabbit that I found dumped in the state forest; she was litter box trained, had the run of the house, used the big dog crate as her private home, and would take turns playing with and chasing the 93 pound dog. I've just always seemed to understand dogs in particular and vice versa. The same is usually true with other animals as well. I even enjoy caring for dogs that are hyper! Just let me know first in case I've got low energy dogs with me. What you can expect: Boarding and daycare are usually canine adventure time with me. Assuming your pooch is up for it, they'll accompany us on an adventure where they usually are able to play with other dogs, swim, and go on hikes. When the weather doesn't cooperate, that usually means pack walks somewhere like Lowes or somewhere else inside. If your dog tends to be stressed around other dogs and not well socialized, they'll have fun, learn that they are safe and can enjoy themselves while learning to be social and resilient. This is also great for improving their fitness and overall health. I work remotely, set my schedule, and nothing makes me happier that being with and doing things with dogs. Dog park? Trails? It's field trip and adventure time, if your beast is up for it. Play dates? Why not! Up for playing with my dog who is vaccinated for probably everything and wants to chase and be chased? Not a problem. Special needs or a senior? Just let me know. I have a fenced yard and a happy, boisterous 6 year old, 57 pound dog who adjusts his play style to what other dogs like. If he's too much for your dog, he takes correction from them, no problem, or I can put them in different places. He even lets little dogs beat him up without protest and if your dog likes rough play, he'll accomodate. He's happy and loves people and dogs. He has zero resource guarding issues; if your's does, he'll give them space.

About: I have had animals all of my life- cats, dogs, guinea pigs, fish, newts, frogs, hamsters gerbils, parakeets and even an ant farm at one point! I have helped pet sit for other people and my daughter also does pet sitting. I have been a nurse for 37 years and I also volunteer at Nevin's Farm weekly. I know how important it is to have a reliable person to check on your animals while you are away or just at work. I would like to expand what I do and be that person for you. I work at the hospital three times a week and on my off days I am available to come check your pet, give them potty breaks, feed them, whatever they need to make them comfortable while you are not there. Sometimes my days might vary but hopefully a routine could be established that suits us both. I am happy to go by any instructions you leave for your pet - where they are allowed to go or be, what you want me to put out for them for food or water, etc... Just let me know because I want to keep their routine and environment the same as if you were there in that moment. I would like to think that if my animals could talk they would give me high marks for all I do for them to keep them clean/cared for/walked. I think they are happy with me!!! But I guess I do something right as my friends and family always call me for advice or when they want to adopt and say "Where should I go? What do I need? Is this a good choice? Will you go with me?" So I take these asks as good compliments.

“Sasha is great! She took amazing care of our two kitties while we were away for almost two weeks. Communication was excellent; she sent little updates and pictures every day. Thank you, Sasha!”

“Katie was always available when ever I texted her. I came home to a very happy kitty! Katie even sat on the floor to pet Gamora and spend time with her. I know Gamora loved all the extra attention she got!”

“We were so nervous to have someone do a fluid infusion for our elderly kitty Zoey, but Tessa was excellent! She seamlessly coordinated with our regular sitter while we were away on vacation and provided a calm and safe experience for Zoey, who can be quite challenging! We are so grateful for Tessa’s expertise and would not hesitate to hire her again.”

“Olivia left thoughtful and detailed messages during her visits with my cat, which helped put me at ease when I was away from her for the first time. I had no idea my cat would hiss, and Olivia managed to handle it well. She even got toys out for JoJo when I forgot to put them out.”

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
