Let me take care of your friend
I am a recent graduate of Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY. My family is split between the US and Guatemala. In the last couple of years, I have discovered that I really enjoy working with animals. We have many dogs in Guatemala, some of whom we have rescued. I also have a very special cat named Butter. My animal-related work experience includes working as a Daycare Attendant at Create Escape in Belmont and as a Tub Attendant at Laundromutt in Cambridge, as well as at BYOD in Boston. In both positions, I handled animals and looked after their well-being and safety. I have experience taking care of dogs in groups and dogs with different personalities and physical needs. For example, one of our dogs in Guatemala has partial paralysis of his body. I am also an artist and love doing portraits of dogs emphasizing their different personalities.

Safety, trust & environment
I am observant and look out for behavior and mood changes. I make sure that the environment is safe for the animal. Getting to know an animal is very important to me because then I can better ensure their well-being. Communication with the pet owner is very important to me; understanding what special needs the animal has.

Ria is fantastic. I have a very nervous dog that Ria was willing to work with for weeks before dog sitting. She was able to win her over and is now on a very short list of people my dog accepts! It was a gift to be able to go away and relax knowing our pets were well taken care of. She did an amazing job taking care of our house and pets. I feel so fortunate to have met her!
Ria did a wonderful job taking care of our dog for a week. A lot of updates and Alfred seemed very happy when we got back home. Would book again!
Ria was great! She was able to do drop in visits last minute on a holiday weekend. She was super responsive and communicated about every visit.
Took great care of my cat and was prompt/ communicative! Will book again :)

Schedule
I am available anytime during the week as well as holidays, morning and evening hours. I am available on short notice. I can also do overnight stays.
