About: I’m Arnav, a dedicated and experienced dog sitter with a special love for small dogs and senior pups. I’ve cared for dogs of all ages and temperaments, and I understand how important it is to provide a safe, loving, and stress-free environment when you're away. I have plenty of hands-on experience, including administering medications, handling special diets, and giving gentle care to elderly dogs who may need a slower pace and extra attention. I take dogs on walks twice a day and have a secure yard where they can stretch their legs, play, or simply relax in the fresh air. I’m available day and night on weekdays, weekends, and holidays, based on my calendar availability. Plus, your pup will never be alone—my parents and I work as a team, so there’s always someone home to keep a watchful and caring eye on them. I truly treat every dog like family, and I’d love the chance to care for yours! I’m available all day and night on weekdays and all weekends and holidays as per my calendar setting. In addition, other than me, there is always someone at home to supervise your pet. I have a big yard and easy access to bike path for safe walking and playing. If the weather is not good. I still play with the pet indoors.
About: We are a family in Arlington without any pets of our own, but lots of love and willingness to care for your pet in our home so you can enjoy your time away. Our neighborhood is safe for walks days and nights, and we have a fenced in backyard with plenty of room to run. We follow your routine, so please let us know of any preferences or restrictions, both dietary and behavioral. We offer lots of outside time, hugs and kisses! Your pet can sleep wherever they prefer, on the couch, in our bed, or in their crate (per your request only). We don't walk pets off lease unless we are at a dog park, and we stay with them in the yard, in particular at night, so they are never left unattended. We have two boys, age 13 years old, who are very active and love to run and play with dogs and are gentle with them. The adults in the family work mostly from home, so someone will be with your pet at all times. We prefer to do a meet and greet so we can see how your dog will fit into our home as well as get to know its habits and preferences. We make sure we have the time right after drop off to go for a walk with your dog so they get faster acclimated attention during the day. We are loving with the dogs we are sitting and make sure they get lots of outside and play time as needed during the day. We also don't give food from the table and are careful with treats, using only ones we have already checked with you. Since we don’t have any dogs or pets of our own, we have the time and attention to focus on your pet.
“Booked super last minute due to unexpected emergency, and she was AMAZING! Went above and beyond to take care of my little babies, cannot recommend enough. So communicative and took such great care of them (even though they’re so shy)”

“Thank you, Jolene, for checking in on my two cats over a holiday weekend with a last minute booking! Jolene’s communication and timing was excellent. While checking on the cats, she filled their bowls, gave them treats, and brushed them. I appreciated her time and attention!”

“Karein was super helpful with my last minute booking request! I just relocated to MA from Michigan and she was able to help walk my dogs while I was at work. She takes amazing pictures, and keeps in contact throughout the visit! I highly recommend her for any pet sitting needs”

“We can’t say it enough- Kristina has been helping us for almost a year at this point and she’s amazing with our large 80+ pound dog Sully, consistent, great communication. She’s a gem and we are lucky to have her help us on a weekly basis.”

“We had a great experience with Annette! She took the time to come beforehand and learn our guinea pigs’ routine, which we really appreciated. She was reliable, attentive, and took great care of them while we were away. It gave us peace of mind knowing they were in good hands. Highly recommend!”

“Peaches, my little old Yorkie, took to Jess immediately and they enjoyed a nice walk in the neighborhood. I appreciated her promptness in arriving on time, and her photo that she took of Peaches. Highly recommend!”

“As we just moved to a new place and did not find a cat sitter yet. After reading the positive reviews we decided to reach out to Kimm & Kenn S. Kimm has been such a treasure during our time away. From the get go she communicated very timely, clearly and really wanted to make sure she understood what we were looking for. Throughout our time away she kept us up to date on our cat's wellbeing. We are so happy she took care of our furry friend and will definitely reach out again in the future. Thank you, Kimm!”

“Rilee was nothing short of exceptional in the care she gave our elderly cat. Rilee was kind and warm, easy to talk to, and truly cared. Our cat has a complex medication regimen that includes oral medication twice a day. Rilee handled this with confidence and was able to put our cat at ease and get all of his medications in. We highly recommend her!”

“James is the best!!! Very communicative, provides full run through of activities and behaviors during the visit. He is very loving to the dogs and takes lots of photos and videos! Will 100% book again.”

“Olya was amazing with Tina and sent plenty of pictures. This was a last minute emergency and she was available and quick to respond and accept the booking. Recommended 110%!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Lexington
Sophia was a great cat sitter for us when we were away for an extended few days in the summer. Both our outgoing and our shy cat came out to enjoy her attention and we very much appreciated the updates and pictures she sent. Sophia was very communicative with updates and asking any questions that came up, and didn’t bat an eye at cleanup some “extra messes” that the cats left her. In addition to two happy cats, she also helped out watering our outdoor plants which was critical on some record hot days. We would highly recommend Sophia for any of your cat sitting needs!

Briana was great! Went above and beyond. Took great care of our cat and house. Brought in all our packages and provided great photos and report cards. She even walked to our house during a snowstorm when the roads weren’t plowed to make sure our cat got fed and cuddles. Would definitely use her again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
