I'm pretty flexible and will try to work around your scheduling needs. I have a dog friendly car for easy transportation and am happy to explore new towns and trails in your area. I'm willing to drive up to a half our each way but prefer to avoid rush hour traffic if possible.🤯 I do have quite a few prebooked weekly dog walks but try to keep my Rover schedule up to date and will be totally up front with you about what I can and can't handle schedule wise. I love meeting new dogs and cats and building a trusting and fun relationship with them...I only wish I had more time! 😸

I can do dog walking/cat drop-in visits usually any time (schedule permitting) and for longer durations (for example if you're going away for 2 weeks and need someone to visit your kitties once or twice a day). For pet sitting I can only do short-term house sitting (staying at your home) for up to 4 days since I have fur babies of my own but if you live close by I could potentially do longer stays (don't hesitate to ask!☺️) I am very respectful of your home and personal space and will try to replicate your pet's normal routine as much as possible. Detailed instructions are always welcome. I like to stay busy so in addition to exercising and loving your pet(s) I might do a little light cleaning. I love sending updates and photos...probably too many!🐾

I would like to know any behavioral issues such as aggression with other dogs or people, fear or anxiety in certain situations, medical issues and/or medications, etc. I like to try to make any pet walking/sitting experience work and knowledge of any and all issues will help me be prepared for situations as needed. I've known many types of dogs and cats with many different behavioral and health issues over the years so like to think I can always try to create a positive experience.🥰
A typical day
I love going for hikes in the woods with dogs that I walk. I know a lot of great trails that provide endless sights and smells for your dog(s) to enjoy. I am a big fan of long leash walking (15-20 feet) to give your pup the feeling of being able to run and explore while still always being safe. I am very experienced in dog behavior and will always be cautious when meeting other dogs, while encouraging socialization when appropriate. I am also happy to provide going to the dog park, walking around your neighborhood, or even just yard play/exercise. I'm flexible and will cater to what you and your dog prefer and enjoy the most. While cat sitting is usually more of a drop-in activity, I love to play with energetic felines or give kind gentle cuddles to shyer or older kitties. I've been known to bring some new and fun toys just to change things up a bit (I'm a big fan of the fishing rod worm but probably just because my cat loves it). I'm very observant of subtle dog and cat behavior that can indicate concerns and will always reach out with questions or concerns...I prefer to always err on the side of caution and so be prepared for a lot of communication lol.

I've worked in animal care for over 25 years including dog walking, dog/cat sitting, in the boarding department of an animal hospital and most recently as a vet tech. I want to still continue provide the fun outdoor experience that dog walking provides as well as the personal care of dog and cat sitting. I have experience with all ages and sizes of dogs and cats, behavioral issues, giving medications, etc. I like to think I'm very in tune with body language and behavior based on over 20 years of working in a boarding kennel which included group walks, playgroups and one on one time with more "socially challenged" dogs and cats. I am patient, respectful, loving and find nothing more rewarding than bonding with an animal and gaining their trust and friendship.🐶😺

Karein is great! Our cat Big Guy, does not like people. Over the 2 weeks we were away, she got him to come out of his shell and let her pet him. It was a great experience to know Big Guy was in good hands while we were away. She even got him playing with some toys… and his name is Big Guy for a reason! 😸
Karein took our 5month puppy for a walk. Made sure she spent time to get to know her and very caring for our dog! Thank you for looking after our Maple with such kindness and love 🧡
