Guillermo showed me around the house so I could see where Kiara would stay, which put me at ease. Kiara quickly warmed up to him and didn’t seem upset when I left. The fence (real/wooden not electric) is totally stable, and I just put rocks in places that I wanted extra coverage 😊, so your dog is absolutely not getting out 😂. All of my neighbors have dogs. They’re all fenced/electric fenced in and very well behaved. Except there’s one down the hill that barks sometimes but usually it’s quiet enough you can’t hear it. She a sweetheart her name is Sparky 😁. If your dog has trouble with other dogs I’ll make extra sure to stay away from that house. When I walk the dogs up my hill it’s the other direction anyways. There are also no cats around. There are a ton of bunnies and squirrels and stuff but I’m strong enough with dogs to hold them back I’ve never had a problem. I have experience with/know how to handle strong dogs💪. Walking: There are a ton of woods/paths right next to my house, you can look around on the map for yourself. Some places I love to walk are Audubon, Hay road, and Snake hill (it’s just a name don’t worry 😅.) Supplies: While I’m walking a dog I carry poop baggies, water and a water bowl, and a ball/toys (even though I never let the dog off the leash when we’re out on a walk.) When I board or doggy day care I use the same things. I have other dog supplies too like bathing stuff, a leash, food/food bowls etc in case you forget your stuff 😁.

About: I provide a safe, loving, and fun environment for every dog. I have experience caring for puppies, adult dogs, and large breeds, including Golden Retrievers. I understand the importance of maintaining each dog’s routine, including feeding, walks, playtime, and lots of attention. About: Hello! I'm a Health and Nutrition Coach for humans and soon, animals. I'm currently studying animal health and nutrition and am pursuing advanced training and certification as a dog/cat nutritionist. I offer FREE pick up and drop off to Arlington dogs or within a 2 mile radius of my house. I live directly across from the newly opened dog park in Arlington, if that's something you think your dog might enjoy. I offer 1 hr. park visits to those who live nearby (within a 2 mile radius of Parallel Park). You can book a 1 hour visit in the dog walking section. I will pick up your dog, bring them to the park and bring them home. It's a nice place to go if your dog could use a little more exercise and might like to run around with other dogs or play fetch. If the park is too busy or the dogs don't seem like a good fit for your dog, we'll take a long walk along the river path instead. I generally do my coaching from home and walk about 10 dogs a week midday, in which case, I may be out of the house for a few hours M-F. This allows me to give the dogs staying with me lots of attention. I have a 3 year old Frenchton (1/2 French Bulldog, 1/2 Boston Terrier) named Maisy who is well socialized and loves most dogs. I can accommodate housesitting requests that allow Maisy to join me, after we ensure everyone gets on well. I will suggest we do a meet and greet in a neutral location for both housesitting and boarding -- maybe take a walk or let them run around in the park to see how they get along. Boarding can be a little stressful, especially when they first arrive. I always try and meet them where they are to be sure they have whatever time and space they may need to get acclimated to their new environment. I have a private suite for anyone that might like a safe space to themselves. I've used it to host seniors, dogs who have medical challenges as well as shy and senior cats. It's a large space with comfy beds, a big chaise lounge where they can look out the windows and it's bright and cheerful. I often do my morning work in there and will snuggle up with whoever is interested. I'm always interested in your pets quirks--and what I may be able to do to help them get comfortable quickly. I'd be grateful for any *pro tips* you have to ensure we get off to a great start together! I generally take 1-2 dogs at a time so they get lots of attention and I can customize their care. This is not a kennel environment. I do occasionally will take an extra dog here and there over the holidays and busy summer weekends. I included pics of my home in the photo gallery. I have a guest bedroom where dogs can sleep on the bed and stretch out, if they prefer. I have a nice sunroom that is all windows and has a comfy chaise lounge for long afternoon naps. I have a fireplace and love to keep my home calm and cozy on winter evenings. If your dog is crate trained, I have a medium size crate that I can set up for anyone who prefers it. It will hold a dog up to 45 lbs. You can also bring your own. I can only host dogs that get along well with other dogs and have a naturally calm demeanor. I can not take barkers. I live in an active neighborhood with a playground and dog park across the street. There are kids and dogs in and out all day and the dogs in my home can see them from the windows. There is lots of activity, the house's are close together and I have a very quiet upstairs neighbor. I want to respect and protect everyone's peace around me and not cause problems. If your dog sits at the window and barks at everything outside, they will likely be too overstimulated at my place and are probably not a good fit for boarding. I'd be happy to watch them at your house! ABOUT HOUSESITTING: If I am hired to housesit your pets, I'm happy to take care of your plants, water your garden and even feed your chicken's -- it's all included. I will also have Maisy with me, so I can only accommodate dogs/cats that will tolerate her. She is 3 and loves to play, eat and nap. We have housesat a fair amount and she seems to communicate well with other dogs. If they're not into her, she usually gets it after some dog to dog communication and will just leave them be. If they want to play, she will be thrilled to play. She's pretty good at reading the room and she will correct a dog that tries to hump her! I have a flexible schedule. I do most of my coaching from home and walk about 10 dogs a week. I do my best to respond to all requests within an hour until about 9, when I often turn off the tech til morning. If I respond to you and am available, please let me know *either way* whether you are interested. Rover holds the space in our calendar and we often can't accept other booking opportunities until we hear back from you. Thank you! If I am caring for a pet in my home or yours, they generally have the run of the place, unless, of course, that would mess up your hard earned training. I take my lead from you and would greatly appreciate clear instructions on caring for your dog or cat to make sure he/she has a great overall experience with me. I generally feed dogs from different families separately regardless of a dogs temperament. I have a "no bones" policy if there are dogs from different families sharing a house together. From lots of experience, I've seen the most sweet, submissive dogs turn into little monsters if another dog attempts to steal their bone or try and eat their food. I work on prevention of those types of behaviors. If you want your dog crated during various times of the day or night, I have crates and can accommodate your dog. If they're not allowed on the beds or furniture, I understand and will keep the same rules. If they like nothing better than snuggling with you on the couch in the evening, that won't change either.

I've also worked to help train service animals of various breeds as well as past training on my late dog who struggled with anxiety related behavioral issues. Large or small, I can handle them all. About: I have had cats my whole life- growing up there were times when we had up to four cats at once, I believe. I have a cat now, as well. I also have some experience walking and caring for dogs, though not nearly as much as I have with cats. I am always willing to learn, though! And I really love walking dogs, it's fun to see where they want to take you, and to have a little buddy as a person who already loves walking probably as much as dogs do. About: Spent extensive time caring after my families dogs & cats as well as the pets of my neighborhood. I also look after my friends cats and dogs of Boston and Maine. Comfortable with walking, playing with, feeding, and even some light training with dogs. I don’t have certifications with dog training but I would be happy to reinforce training you do with them for some light commands. I work in sales in a fairly fluid environment. About: I am a freelance artist by trade, I'm looking to earn some supplementary by putting to good use my love of animals and experience as a lifetime pet owner. I have been the primary caretaker for animals basically my whole life, growing up alongside furry siblings as long as I can reliably remember, including several dogs with behavioral issues such as separation anxiety and jealousy problems. My mother trained as a vet tech and taught me a lot, and is always happy to help even now if I need an extra hand or some expert advice. I have trained dogs, including potty training and dissuading problem behaviors (excessive barking, begging for food, etc.) I have experience caring for dogs in individual, group, and playgroup settings and love all animals. I cannot drive but I can engage in light to moderate dog walking just fine! I use public transport and ridesharing to get around. As a freelance artist, my schedule for work is fairly flexible and I can plan around pet care time and stays away from home with a lot of freedom, making it possible for me to keep my schedule fluid and make the animal in my care the priority of my routine. I have an apartment in Arlington I spend most of my time at but it's not the best for pets so for boarding jobs I visit and make use of my parents home in Winchester. They and their dog love the company! It has a fenced outdoor area where dogs can easily run, play, and of course go to the bathroom. It is accessible via a basement door and most dogs get the hang of it pretty easily (but I am happy to provide extra help for dogs who struggle with stairs or need other extra accomodations.) It is also home to my parents who love furry guests, and of course Emma, an extremely friendly and patient English Setter who adores playing hostess! I am also of course happy to visit other homes to care for pets, both for drop ins and overnight. I will always take the safety and cleanliness of your home seriously! In other's homes I'm happy to adapt to what resources are available and what areas and routines the dog is generally used to and comfortable with in their own usual environment!

I’ve decided for (kind of arbitrary unrealistic anxious 😆) safety reasons, even though it connects from a doggy door and is completely closed off, I’m always gonna be out there with the dog just to make sure everything’s cool. The fence (real/wooden not electric) is totally stable, and I just put rocks in places that I wanted extra coverage 😊, so your dog is absolutely not getting out 😂. All of my neighbors have dogs. They’re all fenced/electric fenced in and very well behaved. Except there’s one down the hill that barks sometimes but usually it’s quiet enough you can’t hear it. She a sweetheart her name is Sparky 😁. If your dog has trouble with other dogs I’ll make extra sure to stay away from that house. When I walk the dogs up my hill it’s the other direction anyways. There are also no cats around. There are a ton of bunnies and squirrels and stuff but I’m strong enough with dogs to hold them back I’ve never had a problem. I have experience with/know how to handle strong dogs💪. Walking: There are a ton of woods/paths right next to my house, you can look around on the map for yourself. Some places I love to walk are Audubon, Hay road, and Snake hill (it’s just a name don’t worry 😅.) Supplies: While I’m walking a dog I carry poop baggies, water and a water bowl, and a ball/toys (even though I never let the dog off the leash when we’re out on a walk.) When I board or doggy day care I use the same things. I have other dog supplies too like bathing stuff, a leash, food/food bowls etc in case you forget your stuff 😁.
