“Julie was able to cover last minute and my cat simba had fun playing with her. She cleaned up after the cat and made sure he had enough food and played laser games with him. Another person bailed on me and she was able to come to the rescue at the last minute and feed my starving kitten! Little simba is my fur baby. :3”

About: I’ve always had at least two dogs in the house, and have always loved caring for cats! I have plenty of experience taking care of horses and chickens, and I’m no stranger to taking care of many pets at one time, for example, 3 large dogs, 3 cats and 3 horses at the same time! I have a super open availability this summer, with more than enough time for late nights, early mornings, and overnight work! I have reliable transportation and a super free schedule to care for furry friends! I live in a condo with two elderly chihuahuas (almost 15 years old!) named Glory and Hero, as well as a super loving mutt rescue named Mysti! I love going for long walks with Mysti, and taking my chihuahuas for nice short walks as they get older. Making sure Mysti gets the proper exercise and attention is super important as she is a medium sized dog in a condo, as well as accommodating my older dogs as they age.
About: I’ve taken care of neighbors & family friends dogs since middle school, doing drop-ins, walks & overnight stays. I also have experience with senior dogs, both my own & friends’ who I’ve cared for. My childhood dog, and best friend, passed away almost two years ago, and as a huge dog lover, I’ve been missing having a pup in my life! I would love to love yours <3 I work a full-time job, but am hybrid, so I’m only in the office Tuesdays & Wednesdays! I can do walks in the mornings before work on Monday or Friday, after work any day of the week (adjusting for the commute on Tuesday/Wednesday), and can be free on the weekends! If you’re near where I live, I could also pop in during the work day on my remote days. Unfortunately our apartment doesn’t allow dogs :( But I will follow your lead on what works best for you & your pup(s) in your space! I want to make sure everyone feels comfortable with the routine & arrangement!
“Neil and Yvette were fantastic. They were very understanding and accommodating when I had to leave on short notice. They cared for my cat well and followed all instructions.”

“Alissa was wonderful! I wasn’t worried about Buster at all while I was away because of her detailed reports and photos from each visit. Will definitely be booking with her again.”

About: Hi! I’m a part-time student with flexible availability and a car for transportation, so I can easily work around your schedule to provide care. I have hands-on dog-sitting experience, including staying overnight for a week with a young pit bull, where I walked, played with, and fed her while maintaining her safety, well-being, and daily routine. I also have experience caring for a pug with special feeding requirements. I’m patient, energetic, and love giving attentive care to pets of all ages. I’m especially comfortable with puppies and young dogs, but I also enjoy spending time with senior dogs, ensuring they feel safe and loved. I’d love the opportunity to walk, play with, and care for your dog! Pet care fits easily into my daily and weekly routine because I’m a part-time student with flexible availability. I can adjust my schedule around classes to ensure walks, playtime, feeding, and any other needs are met consistently. I prioritize creating a routine for the pets I care for, so they feel safe, happy, and well-attended throughout the day, whether that’s a morning walk, midday play session, or evening feeding. I provide attentive care in your home, following your instructions closely for feeding, walking, playtime, and any special needs. I love walking and exercise, so I’m happy to take your dog on fun, engaging walks to keep them active and healthy. I ensure your pet’s environment stays safe, comfortable, and consistent with their usual routine. My priority is making sure your pet feels happy, secure, and well-cared-for while you’re away.
“Mirabel was fantastic to work with. She provided great updates (+ pictures) while we were away, and our cats loved her! We will definitely be booking her again.”

“Anastasia was fantastic! She went out of her way to make sure our little scaredy cat Jake was super comfortable, and even went back to double-check on his comfort. She also was very communicative and prompt. And even brought in our mail! We will definitely be asking her for her services again! She’s wonderful!”

“once again, she was so wonderful! simon loves her, and the additional of our cat, kitten, who also patiently awaits her coming. i would recommend her to everyone!”

About: Hello and thank you for visiting my page! I am a lover of all animals, and I have had both cats and dogs my whole life. I’ve had my cat, Burt Macklin (if you’re a fan of Parks and Rec) for over five years and he is my favorite creature! I have no problem taking care of cats of all sizes and am comfortable administering oral medication. I currently can’t own a dog in my apartment, so I love walking and taking care of dogs to get my fix. I can take care of dogs of all sizes and ages, and I’ll be sure to ask about their walking behaviors and any habits/training they’re working on. I am able to do overnight stays when needed and aim to give your house lion and/or pooch the best care while their human(s) are away. I am a very positive and optimistic person, so I will always bring an upbeat attitude to all my dog walks. I am an open book and can answer any questions as needed. Hope to meet you and your fur child! I’m currently working part-time and have lots of flexibility during the week and on weekends. I also have a car and am able to travel with your pet if needed. I take it very seriously when someone trusts me to take care of their pet, whether it’s a walk, drop-in visit, or house sitting. I am always considerate of other people’s spaces and treat both your home and your beloved support creatures like my own!
“Lianne has taken care of my cat multiple times and she has been wonderful each time, taking care of the basics as well as playtime. From the pictures, it is clear that my cat looks forward to Lianne's visits and I would recommend her to anyone in need of care for their pet.”

“Kayla did a great job with my dog, Archie! She is professional, courteous and follows directions. I’m always worried to leave Archie with sitters, as he needs extra guidance on walks. but Kayla handled him like she had been watching him for years. I look forward to hiring her again!”

“Alexandra was so great with Maker! She always included pictures from her visits and answered quickly when I messaged her for any reason. She was great! Occasionally a little late with scheduled times but that doesn't bother Maker at all so she was perfect for us!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Brookline
Aimee did a fantastic job at making me feel at ease with leaving my baby for a week. She sent plenty of pictures and made sure to include how Bubz was doing. Bubz eventually warmed up to her (as much as my cat can to a stranger 😂) which I'm very happy about. Will definitely book with Aimee again and hope she continues to use Rover.

Second time booking Annika, and she was again super communicative and great to work with! My kitty had a sudden health issue right before the booking and my trip, and Annika was so easy to work with and kind towards my kitty. She made sure my cat was well cared for, got her medicine, and reported any changes in her health and behavior to me each visit. Will definitely book Annika again!

Working with Hannah was fantastic! She took such thorough notes at our meet and greet — so I knew my kitty Clover was going to be in great hands. Her updates were charming & detailed, communication 10/10, and her photos on Clover’s Rover card were amazing! Will be booking again :)

We are thrilled we found Alyssa! It's clear she puts a lot of care into pet sitting. She put us at ease while we were on vacation for a week. She took care of our cat, played with her and gave her food. She communicated the appropriate amount and even took care of our cat's throw up. We appreciated the daily reports and photos. We will definitely book her again. :)

Tess looked after my puppy for me while I was at work this summer and I couldn’t think of a better person for the job! She was so communicative and detail oriented, took great notes on his eating and bathroom schedule. My roommates continuously commented on how sweet she was with him and how well he did with her! I couldn’t recommend her more!!

Nick took such good care of our cats (daily check-ins while we were away for a week), sending us detailed daily updates and photos and going above and beyond to check on questions we had while we were away. One of our cats is very shy and hides whenever someone new comes over, but Nick managed to find him even in his sneakiest hiding places and get pictures of him so we could see him. We highly recommend Nick and look forward to working with him in the future!

Stephanie was great. She left detailed messages and multiple photos daily which was very much appreciated. And took time with my shy and quirky cat Winston, making big effort to earn his trust. He's a long hair boy prone to matting, and she did an excellent job brushing him too. I would rebook without hesitation.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
