We were a little worried as we were leaving our puppy first time and were anxious to how will he respond to be home alone. About: I’ve been caring for pets and animals since as far back as I can remember! Once I got my very own pets (a dog and two cats) outside of my family home, it became a whole new world of understanding what it takes to train and care for fur babies. My sweet Aussie, Poppy, like most, is high-energy and anxious, but getting her at just 8 weeks old gave me the opportunity to dive into the world of dog behaviorism and training. She has come leaps and bounds from the over-excited, reactive pup she was, and the work that goes into helping a dog feel more calm and confident in the world means a lot to me. I've worked with dog trainers and have researched for countless hours to understand how and why dogs and cats behave the way they do to give my own the best lives possible, and I would love to take the same care with your own fur baby! I have a flexible WFH schedule on Mondays and Thursdays, as well as weekend availability, that gives me the opportunity to fit in extra walks / visits with new fur babies! I'm comfortable administering medication, crating dogs, cleaning litter boxes, etc. as needed! If it has to do with the day-to-day for cats or dogs, it's all good with me! I do appreciate detailed instructions to make sure that I take the best possible care to follow the routines you already have in place with your pets :)

About: I’ve grown up around animals my whole life and currently have two dogs of my own, including a husky I’ve had for almost 14 years. I also have experience caring for cats and fish. About: I am a recent college grad spending some time on my own, but greatly missing my pets! I have experience with all kinds of animals including medically complex pets, seniors, puppies, doodles and other hairy friends, and more! I am a part time intern working about 20 hours per week looking for some friends to fill my downtime. I can look after your animals any time of day with this flexibility. Good for weekdays and weekends! I follow a strict schedule with animals. Feeding routines, walks, treats, and training are all scheduled and followed to a T in my household. About: About Me: I am a dog parent myself, with a 25lb Terrier mix named Lemonade who my husband and I rescued from a shelter in Texas about 6 years ago. Lemon is my best friend and little shadow. I am usually anxious to leave her in the care of others, so I deeply empathize with other owners who just want their pet to be safe, loved, and cared for responsibly. I’ve grown up around dogs my entire life and have a particular fondness for small breeds, but I truly love them all! I have done overnight stays with dogs ranging from 5-45 lbs (Toy Poodles, Doodles, small Terrier breeds, pitty mixes to name a few) but also have walking experience with medium/large sized dogs such as Standard Poodles, Portuguese Water Dogs, Golden Retrievers and Lab/Boxer mixes. A fun fact about me is that I am passionate about ALL animals, and one day I hope to have a small hobby farm with chickens, ducks, and goats. I would also like to adopt a cat in the near future. I am comfortable handling all types of animals from cats and dogs to rodents, rabbits, reptiles and birds. I require an in-person meet and greet to go over instructions if you need help in this department - Walking tools: Harnesses, Martingale collars, and Herm Sprenger (prong) training collar experience - Grooming: If your dog enjoys pampering or has a coat that requires brushing, it is one of my favorite activities! I brush my dog daily and it has become a relaxing routine and bonding experience for both of us. I have extensive personal experience with curly coats that require regular maintenance and brushing (Poodles, PWDs) - Puppies/ routine training: I would be glad to learn the commands you are teaching/ implement them during walks/ drop-ins/ overnights to help you continue your training regimen while away/ at work. - Seniors: I have experience with (sometimes grumpy) seniors up to 16 years old, and therefore I am not new to doggy diapers, incontinence issues, med administration, and even blindness and loss of hearing. About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was 14, starting by watching my neighbors’ pets when they went on vacation. Since then, I’ve had the chance to care for many other dogs in my neighborhood, as well as the dogs of my professors at UMass. I also have experience using clicker training. I’ve always dreamed of having dogs of my own, but frequent moves over the years have made that tough. From going to college and then moving to Boston. Getting to spend time caring for your dogs would truly mean a lot to me and would let me enjoy some quality time with furry friends while making sure they’re happy, safe, and well cared for. As a quick introduction, I am a PhD graduate student in the Brighton area who absolutely loves going on walks and spending time in nature (personal favorites- Newton Resevoir & JP Pond). I would describe myself as very detail-oriented and a perfectionist (hence grad school), which I've learned is very helpful with animals since it helps me be attuned to their communication. -In terms of experience: all throughout growing up, my family and I always had dogs always in the household (e.g., shitzu, dalmatian, and beagle). Ever since I was 6, I walked, fed, and cleaned after all of them. This had made me very comfortable in always reading cues indicating a need. -More recently, I potty trained a beagle my family sheltered (several summers ago). Whenever I visit home or family, I am always playing/walking/watching dogs (of all sizes) of my family members. I also love cats and have exposure through friends, although I have no formal training with them. -In terms of my schedule: very open and flexible since I manage my own schedule. happy to do sitting/walking any time or day for the next couple months. -Please feel free to message me, and I will try to respond ASAP! For my home: I live in an apartment on the third floor (accessible via stairs or elevator). It is very pet friendly: large living room, open spaces, tidy, and clean. There is a lot of open space, so there is plenty of room for beds, crates, and/or toys.
