“This is a sad review to write only because it will be Charlie’s last stay with Ilya for a while since we are moving away from Cambridge. For the last year, Ilya has been rock solid reliable as a sitter for Charlie, always responding in minutes and always accommodating for last minute stays and changing work plans and cancelled flights. Charlie sees the bag come out and gets so excited that he’s going to visit Ilya and his rotating group of pups. During the stay I get frequent updates and the cutest photos. He comes home happy and calm from a fun stay playing with friendly dogs and frequent walks. I would highly recommend Ilya and only wish we were staying in Cambridge longer so Charlie could keep up his visits!!”

As a professional beekeeper, I’m comfortable getting my hands dirty and handling high-stress situations! About: I have been working personally and professionally with dogs for years. I've raised 3 puppies, and worked at a dog daycare/boarding facility, so I know all about keeping fur babies safe and happy. I have my own Golden Retriever who LOVES to make new friends! I'm an avid runner in my free time, so trust me for some great walks! I'm currently a student, so my schedule is entire open Fri-Sun to spend quality time with your pup. I am also available during the week in the mornings and evenings. My main concern in safety. Before bringing a dog into a new environment, I ensure that there are no foreign objects that are potentially harmful that a dog could ingest. I also have experience with determine dog behavior: whether they feel threatened, anxious, etc. I make a commitment to all dog owners that I will keep an eye on their pets to the best of my ability, especially if I have observed concerning behavior. I believe communication with the owner is the most important aspect.

Ray and his family really took such good care of my dog Ringo, playing with him, taking him for walks. We had a restaurant reservation for our 5th anniversary and we thought that we would left our dog in the car. About: I have tried to live life around as many animals as possible. Grew up with dogs and cats and now am a proud cat dad. I pride myself on being punctual, responsible, and caring. I have taken care of dogs for family and friends for years. Being a Rover customer has encouraged me to be the best possible sitter, walker, visitor that I could be. I respect people's boundaries and animal's boundaries as well. I would prefer to meet you and your pet before we confirm sitting or visits just to make sure everyone is comfortable(especially your pets!). I am currently working part time and have lots of available time to walk, sit, and visit your cats or dogs. I can do multiple visits per days in Somerville if need be. I would prefer to take time to meet you and your pets before booking. I fully understand the concerns of having people in your home and treat spaces like I would want my home treated. I'm happy to clean litter boxes per directions and would always put things (food, leashes, toys, etc..) back in their place as directed. if you were to be out of town and asked me to retrieve mail, monitor lights and other utilities I would do that to the best of my abilities as well. As someone who has had Rover sitters come visit my cat Pepper I appreciate that extra effort that many of them have put forth. I would also be happy to communicate all visits through the app or phones with pictures and quick updates.

About: I have been the family/neighborhood cat and dog-sitter for years. From small little puppies and cats to Bernese Mountain dogs even larger than me! I am currently working part-time as a teacher so there is flexibility in my schedule to make time for pet visits, walks, or even overnight stays. I take long walks almost daily so having a furry companion with me would make them that much better. I always make sure any doors that need to remain shut are kept closed so no pets make their way into something they shouldn’t. Allergies are always noted in my phone, along with closest animal hospital just in case.

Patrick's location was a blessing in disguise, as it was incredibly convenient for my son to drop off our beloved nine-year-old Portuguese water dog, Kismet, on his way to the airport. Upon our arrival back home, we were able to pick up Kismet directly on our route home with the help of an Uber, thanks to Patrick's thoughtful planning. Throughout the entire process, Patrick was accommodating, reassuring, and truly went above and beyond to ensure Kismet's well-being and our peace of mind.
