About: I've grown up around animals my whole life and have always loved taking care of them. I've had multiple dogs at a time in my family, both big and small, so I'm very comfortable with different sizes, personalities, and energy levels. I've been taking dogs on walks, playing with them, feeding them, and helping take care of them for as long as I can remember. I've also spent a lot of time caring for cats, including very small kittens, so I'm comfortable with cats as well. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and getting to know them. Whether it's an energetic dog who needs lots of walks and playtime or a more laid back pet who just wants some company and attention, I’m happy to give them the attention they need! I Work from home Part time so your pet will not be home alone for long stretches of time. He will join us and our dog Muesli in our home, and get lots of attention. My dog and I go on two 45 minute walks a day as well as a short walk to the grass before bed time (of course we can talk about your dog's regular walking schedule as well). We don't have a private yard, so dogs are always kept on a leash when we're outside unless we're inside a completely enclosed dog park. I’m also careful about making sure doors and gates are secure and keeping an eye on dogs around things they could get into or eat. I’m happy to follow any instructions for your pet's routine, food, medications, and any specific things they need.

About: Growing up in TX and visiting family in India, I've spent a lot of time with animal friends - dogs, cats, goats, cows, chickens, and sometimes horses and monkeys(!). I've been pet sitting on and off for most of my life. I'm EMT-certified (for humans) and just love creatures and critters of all shapes and sizes. I work part-time and live in Somerville (seasonal assistant coach for the Harvard Women’s Varsity Volleyball team until early December playoffs) and we usually have practices from 4-6pm and run film a few times a week during the day. Some weekends we’re traveling for away games. I’m happy to work out best times to drop by! My sublease doesn’t allow pets, and I don’t love staying in someone’s home overnight when they’re not there for liability and safety reasons, but if you’re in dire straits we can definitely talk about it! I love going on walks and have a ton of energy, so I often feel like the doggos are taking me for a walk. Ha! We can talk about how much exercise they need, and where you prefer I walk them!!

I have taken care of dogs for family and friends for years. Being a Rover customer has encouraged me to be the best possible sitter, walker, visitor that I could be. I would prefer to meet you and your pet before we confirm sitting or visits just to make sure everyone is comfortable(especially your pets!). I am currently working part time and have lots of available time to walk, sit, and visit your cats or dogs. I can do multiple visits per days in Somerville if need be. I would prefer to take time to meet you and your pets before booking. I fully understand the concerns of having people in your home and treat spaces like I would want my home treated. I'm happy to clean litter boxes per directions and would always put things (food, leashes, toys, etc..) back in their place as directed. if you were to be out of town and asked me to retrieve mail, monitor lights and other utilities I would do that to the best of my abilities as well. As someone who has had Rover sitters come visit my cat Pepper I appreciate that extra effort that many of them have put forth. I would also be happy to communicate all visits through the app or phones with pictures and quick updates.

About: I have tons of pet sitting experience, while I was applying for graduate school it was a main source of income. I often would stay in people’s homes taking care of up to three dogs at once, had numerous household where I fed and played with cats and even small kittens. I also spent time nannying the sweetest two year old for 7 months until I had to move (children and pets aren’t quite the same, but also they are both family). I even managed to keep an eye out for the two-year-olds two Siamese cats. I am eagerly waiting to have my own pet but am waiting for more stability in my life so I like to find other ways to be around animals until then. I am a current grad student, I have class on Monday morning, Tuesday evening, all day Thursday and Friday mornings! About: I WORK ON SITE M-F, 9-5pm. I have some flexibility and can come home for lunch. I have a dog of my own, so I know the deal. Walking my dog and hanging out with her is the best part of my day, and I would love for your dog to join. Weekends are my focus and I’m free for shenanigans and long walks! I have my own dog so 3-4walks on the weekend is our normal. I would consider weekdays, but we would have to talk because I work full time on site M-F, so during the week they would have a 20-30min morning walk and 1-2 afternoon walks. I have a well mannered dog friendly dog at home and I would care for your pet like I would mine…which means a lot of attention. Dogs would have to be able to do 3 flights of stairs or be pick-up-able

During the stay, she was excellent with communication, and providing picture and video updates during walks, play time, feeding, cuddles, etc. She even took the time to teach and master the command “paw” with Gracie!!! I would hands down recommend Fernanda to anyone needing someone to watch their fur baby, super easy choice!!!! 100/10”
“Elliot was an excellent dog sitter! He made sure Martha felt right at home and avoided other dogs as she can be reactive. We loved the daily updates and pictures. We’d definitely use him again and recommend him to anyone.”
