I look forward to coming back and seeing the fur babies!!! *** I’ve had dogs in the family since I was a child, and they’ve been all sizes, temperaments and with different needs. I’ve worked with multiple R+ and balanced trainers in the Boston area and actively use training techniques throughout the day to help dogs who are selective-reactive, fearful, shy and/or have separation anxiety. I’m happy to incorporate any trainings you’re working on with your pups while they’re in my care***I do not believe pet services should be financially inaccessible. If you are struggling financially and need assistance, please reach out. I am a graduate student, and spend no more than 3 hours teaching/working on campus, typically in the afternoon, but my office is only 10 minute walk away so I’m rarely gone for long. For pets who would do best with full time WFH, my schedule is flexible. The rest of the time I spend either at home or outdoors at parks or on hikes. My life truly revolves around dogs. Stay at home movie nights with lots of treats or hangouts at the dog parks—you name it! I now have a car, so my serviced area radius has increased for walking and checkin services! I do not offer boarding/stay services in the client’s home.
About: I’ve been doing drop-in visits for friends and family’s pets since I was 15. Never had a pet myself due to my parents’ allergies, so I love giving extra love and attention to other peoples’ furry friends. When I was a junior in high school I even built a local dog park for my Girl Scout Gold Award project, just to help local dogs have more fun letting out their energy. I’m happy to attend to your animals specific wants, like a snuggly or energetic pet, or one of those pets that has a little hidey hole to check in on. About: I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life, including two Labrador Retrievers named Maverick and Goose, and a Beagle that I cared for over 10 years, so I’m very comfortable with daily routines, exercise, and understanding different personalities. I’ve also done several overnight house-sitting and dog care jobs, working with a wide range of breeds, from small dogs like pugs to larger, high-energy dogs like huskies. I’ve always had a genuine love for animals and caring for them. The first animal I really fell in love with was a manatee when I was about 5 years old living in Florida, and that kind of stuck with me. My time as a kid was spent at the beach boogie boarding out into the ocean hoping a dolphin would find me and become my friend. Growing up, I loved going to the aquarium and the zoo to learn about different animals, and I’ve always been especially drawn to red pandas and stingrays. That curiosity and appreciation carries over into how I care for pets—I really enjoy getting to know each animal’s personality and making sure they feel safe and happy. In addition, I have a lot of hands-on caregiving experience through taking care of my brother who has special needs, as well as working with special needs youth. That’s taught me to be patient, attentive, and very in tune with individual needs, which I bring into how I care for animals as well. Pet care honestly fits into my routine really naturally because it’s something I genuinely enjoy and look forward to. I have a part-time job in the mornings and some evenings, so I have a lot of flexibility during the day to spend quality time with dogs—whether that’s going on long walks, stopping by for visits, or just hanging out and keeping them company. I grew up with dogs and took care of my Beagle for 10 years, so I’m very used to building my day around their needs. It doesn’t feel like a task to me—it’s something I love doing. Being around dogs, getting outside, and making sure they’re happy and cared for is something I naturally make time for every day. I focus on making pets feel comfortable, safe, and at ease by sticking closely to their normal routine. I know how important consistency is, so I follow feeding schedules, walk times, and any specific instructions carefully. When I’m in a client’s home, I’m very respectful of their space and make sure their dog is always supervised and within my sight. I pay attention to their behavior and energy so I can respond to what they need, whether that’s a long walk, playtime, or just relaxing together so they don’t feel alone. If I’m caring for a pet in my own home, I create a calm, safe environment where they get plenty of attention, exercise, and downtime. I really just try to treat every dog like my own and make sure they feel happy and cared for the whole time.

About: I have been taking care of dogs my whole life. I have always had a dog in my household growing up. My neighbors, friends, and family have asked me to watch their dogs and take them on walks as well. I am currently working part time so I have all the time I need to take care of others pets when needed. I am available anytime from 11 am - 7pm on weekdays and on weekends I can do 11am-4pm. I care for pets by playing with them, if they don’t feel loved then why do we have them. All dogs need to feel loved, so I care for dogs with all my heart.

About: I have extensive experience caring for cats from kittens to seniors, including administering oral medications. This includes my own cats and also family/friend cats. I have my own rescue pit mix dog who has needed some patience to build her confidence and I’m proud of the work we’ve done together in the 1+ years together. We both work full time but I only work 4 days a week and John works 5 days but leaves later and gets home earlier than me. I handle the morning chores including pet meals and Phoebe’s first walk of the day. John handles the second walk of the day when he gets home from work and the second mealtime then. Night time, Phoebe always gets a walk before bed and cats get their last meal. On weekends and free days off together (I always have a 3 day weekend) Phoebe usually gets a trip out to a park, trail, or beach where she can either roam and get her running in. Phoebe gets playdates often with her dog besties who live nearby. Phoebe is crate trained and we have an extra crate on hand too as needed. Currently Phoebe and the cats roam free together when we’re at work because they’re trustworthy now but if a guest comes, we can separate rooms easily and use crates. In other clients homes, I will always follow the rules of the house. Dogs and cats alike will get lots of enrichment, walks, and playtime so everyone is satisfied and comfortable.
