I look forward to coming back and seeing the fur babies!!! *** I’ve had dogs in the family since I was a child, and they’ve been all sizes, temperaments and with different needs. I’ve worked with multiple R+ and balanced trainers in the Boston area and actively use training techniques throughout the day to help dogs who are selective-reactive, fearful, shy and/or have separation anxiety. I’m happy to incorporate any trainings you’re working on with your pups while they’re in my care***I do not believe pet services should be financially inaccessible. If you are struggling financially and need assistance, please reach out. I am a graduate student, and spend no more than 3 hours teaching/working on campus, typically in the afternoon, but my office is only 10 minute walk away so I’m rarely gone for long. For pets who would do best with full time WFH, my schedule is flexible. The rest of the time I spend either at home or outdoors at parks or on hikes. My life truly revolves around dogs. Stay at home movie nights with lots of treats or hangouts at the dog parks—you name it! I now have a car, so my serviced area radius has increased for walking and checkin services! I do not offer boarding/stay services in the client’s home.

About: I’ve been doing drop-in visits for friends and family’s pets since I was 15. Never had a pet myself due to my parents’ allergies, so I love giving extra love and attention to other peoples’ furry friends. When I was a junior in high school I even built a local dog park for my Girl Scout Gold Award project, just to help local dogs have more fun letting out their energy. I’m happy to attend to your animals specific wants, like a snuggly or energetic pet, or one of those pets that has a little hidey hole to check in on. My work schedule is hybrid, so I can easily care for your pet while working. I’m always working from home Mondays and Fridays, and I can take on any other day of the week as well, as long as I have a few days notice. About: I have professionally cared for cats and dogs (and other animals) since 2010. I started volunteering at my local animal shelter to care for the fur babies with no permanent home in my community. I love a long walker and a lap friend. Many friends and family have counted on me, even in last minute moments, to feed, walk, care for, and have fun with their pets! All animals and all people will be respected and cared for. My summer routine is quite flexible and looks different every day. Walks and drop-ins, aside from my own lad, would fit right into my schedule. My partner, who also does Rover, will often join me for walks and drop-ins. I like to meet the pet and home before the day to get familiar and help the pet get comfortable with my scent before their family has to leave. When it’s my time to support, I stay with the pet and follow their lead, and family instructions, to make sure they are safe, fed, and having fun.

My dog Cairo is not everyone’s ’cup of tea’ (not that I care, since I love him) but he’s vocal at times from excitement and has high energy as a 2 year old Aussiedoodle. Thomas arrived on time, and took Cairo on an hour long dog walk. Although it was 80+ degree humid weather with no breeze, he did it with a smile on his face. Moving forward, whenever I need a walker for Cairo (most likely 1x weekly), I will contact Thomas to check his availability. And next time Thomas, I’ll have a nice cold unopened bottled water for you. Thomas, thank you for bonding with Cairo and accepting his high energy level. “Mia and Taowei were the BEST caretakers for our cocker spaniel, Dodger! I left him with them for 4 days. The minute Mia welcomed him into her living room, I could tell that Dodger felt at home. He walked around checking out the space and then immediately settled down. We brought his bed and a favorite animal so he had some familiar objects around him. Taowei played catch with Dodger, his favorite game, multiple times each day in the backyard. They took him for long walks around their neighborhood and let him explore to his heart's content. When he got wet in the rain, they even brushed and dried him off with a small hair dryer (which I am amazed he enjoyed). Dodger got so much love and attention from Mia and Taowei that we know from the pictures and videos they sent that Dodger had a fantastic time.
