About: A lot of my experience comes from caring for my girlfriend's two dogs, who are basically my two best friends—a Japanese Chin and a Lhasa-Poo. Whenever her parents are out of town, I'm usually the one taking care of them. We've even watched them for weeks at a time while their family was traveling, so I'm comfortable with everything from feeding and walks to playtime, keeping them on their routine, and making sure they get plenty of attention. I've also known our Lhasa-Poo since she was a puppy. About: I love spending time with and taking care of my friends’ pets whenever possible! I’ve been trusted to cat sit (drop ins with Benji or Tiki for a couple of days at a time) and dog sit (cared for little Teddy at my apartment for two weeks while his parents were away) for my friend’s furry little ones on several occasions. While I love having fun with the animals in my care, I will always prioritize their safety when I am with them. In addition to loving my friends’ pets, I spent a year nannying for families with dogs whose care I was entrusted with. I looked after (picked up from day care, walked, and fed) two golden retrievers (Kody and Bella) as well as 8 month old Vizla puppy, Yofi! About: I have tried to live life around as many animals as possible. Grew up with dogs and cats and now am a proud cat dad. I pride myself on being punctual, responsible, and caring. I have taken care of dogs for family and friends for years. Being a Rover customer has encouraged me to be the best possible sitter, walker, visitor that I could be. I would prefer to meet you and your pet before we confirm sitting or visits just to make sure everyone is comfortable(especially your pets!). I would prefer to take time to meet you and your pets before booking. I fully understand the concerns of having people in your home and treat spaces like I would want my home treated. I'm happy to clean litter boxes per directions and would always put things (food, leashes, toys, etc..) back in their place as directed. if you were to be out of town and asked me to retrieve mail, monitor lights and other utilities I would do that to the best of my abilities as well. About: Like most reasonable people, I’ve loved animals my whole life. I spent many Saturdays as a young adult just hanging out and volunteering at the animal shelter because it made me so happy. I think what sets me apart from other sitters is that I’m very patient, self-aware, and I’m not easily grossed out. I’ve sat still for hours waiting for an animal to trust me enough to approach me. I make sure to read their bodies before extending my hand, and I am conscientious of making noise because I want them to be comfortable. I don’t have a weak stomach when it comes to shedding, drool, or accidents. I am a substitute teacher for elementary schools in the area and I work when I can, but there are many days when there are no listings available, or that I’m working partial days. I’m generally pretty free. I will follow the direction and guidelines of the pet owner to keep the animal safe. I am a cautious person and would not let somebody else’s pet outside without a harness or secure fence unless otherwise directed.
About: My name is Jacob and I’m a senior college student at UNC studying business administration. I have a light course load this year and ample free time that I would like to spend with animals! I’m very energetic and comfortable around animals. I have had multiple dogs my whole life, and I love to be active with my pets at home. I love to walk and go for runs with my own dogs, and I look forward to hanging out with a lot of animals of all breeds and sizes! I will be very responsive to any and all personal needs or concerns that pet owners may have and will do my best to accommodate and grow enjoyable relationships with pets and pet owners alike.
