“Suzete is now officially our cat Micio’s best friend. This was our third booking with Suzete and she is more wonderful every time! She goes above and beyond every visit and is the only person we would be happy leaving Micio with over Christmas! I highly recommend you choose Suzete to look after your pet - you won’t regret it!”

“Second time working with Elena and once again, she was wonderful. I was at ease knowing Kitten would be well taken care of. I love the updates she provides as well! :)”

“Darby is reliable and trustworthy. Having her check on my cats gave me peace of mind. She provided daily updates and cute pictures for each visit. She is great and I definitely recommend her!”

“Amanda took great care of my cats, was diligent about meds, and even managed to lure out my very shy cat (which usually hides whenever a stranger appears). Would definitely hire again”

About: I supported and dog-sat a recently adopted dog from an abusive environment over the past four years. Happy to work with anxious dogs or dogs that need lots of quiet time and space. Patient with different needs. I work remotely on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays and can shift responsibilities around to visit before and after work and at lunch, or stay during the day to work. I'm very careful with cats or dogs that try to escape and experienced with keeping them in when I enter or exit. I'm watchful for dogs picking up food on walks and generally watchful for safety.
About: Hello and thank you for visiting my page! I am a lover of all animals, and I have had both cats and dogs my whole life. I’ve had my cat, Burt Macklin (if you’re a fan of Parks and Rec) for over five years and he is my favorite creature! I have no problem taking care of cats of all sizes and am comfortable administering oral medication. I currently can’t own a dog in my apartment, so I love walking and taking care of dogs to get my fix. I can take care of dogs of all sizes and ages, and I’ll be sure to ask about their walking behaviors and any habits/training they’re working on. I am able to do overnight stays when needed and aim to give your house lion and/or pooch the best care while their human(s) are away. I am a very positive and optimistic person, so I will always bring an upbeat attitude to all my dog walks. I am an open book and can answer any questions as needed. Hope to meet you and your fur child! I’m currently working part-time and have lots of flexibility during the week and on weekends. I also have a car and am able to travel with your pet if needed. I take it very seriously when someone trusts me to take care of their pet, whether it’s a walk, drop-in visit, or house sitting. I am always considerate of other people’s spaces and treat both your home and your beloved support creatures like my own!
“I'm glad I chose Leo to look after my cat Magnus over the Thanksgiving holiday. Leo is highly communicative, friendly, and skilled with animals. I especially appreciated the detailed notes about each visit and the clear expectations about when Leo would drop in to see Magnus. I highly recommend them - thank you Leo!”
About: Since I was 13, I’ve taken care of countless dogs of different sizes, ages, and breeds. Neighbors and friends have trusted me to take care of their pets overnight, whether it be walking, feeding, playing, or bathing. While I’m searching for a job, the rest of my time is free to take care of pups!! I’m available on weekdays and Sundays after 9 am. I wake up at 7am, and I adjust my care depending on each dog. Usually, this includes 3-4 walks per day, with potty breaks every 2-3 hours. I have a large fenced yard, and two mutts for company. I can keep them separate or crated if need be, whatever works for you and your dog. I also have small and medium sized dog crates if your dog uses them. As long as you tell me what your pup needs, I can deliver.
“Thomas provided excellent care for our cat and home! We are so grateful for you Thomas! I would recommend him to anyone that was seeking an attentive and considerate pet caregiver. We would love to have you care for Elvie again!”

“Was incredibly attuned to my lil anxious Winston, provided consistent helpful feedback & was just overall a perfect pet sitter for my baby boy! I was nervous using rover for the first time, and Rachel exceeded my expectations & went above and beyond. Will be working with her again!”

“Emily did such a great job with Ziggy and Smokey! She was consistent, attentive, and super communicative. I felt like my babies were loved and well cared for while I was away.”

“Roselle has watched my cat Spooks twice now and she takes such great care of her! My cat is super high energy and Roselle takes the time to get out her zoomies and give her back scratches. Highly recommend!”

“Stacy was very warm and communicative. She took great care of my cat over the holidays and wrote very detailed reports in each Rover card. You can tell she really enjoys caring for animals! Thank you, Stacy!”

“Emily is very responsive and was super helpful in taking take of my young pup on short notice! She followed instructions perfectly and I came home to a very happy puppy. I highly recommend booking with Emily!”

“Serena was super helpful and responsive. She took great pictures and kept us updated all weekend so we had nothing to worry about. Definitely recommend booking with Serena!”

“Isabelle did a great job taking care of our kitty while we were traveling! She was very responsive on chat, and took amazingly cute photos of our boy during each check-in (I seriously don't know how she captured so many with him sticking his tongue out). We also really appreciate her flexibility with scheduling a last-minute meet-and-greet prior to our trip. Highly recommended and would totally book again.”

“Kelly was amazing! My cat seemed to really take to her :) She communicated great from the get go and i got lots of photos and updates. I could not be more pleased with her care. There were no issues at all, she seamlessly took over from the previous sitter. She did fantastic and I hope to work with her again in the future! :)”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Cambridge
We’ve had Amber take care of Cricket for awhile now and she’s always done a great job. Recently we left him in her care for a week while he happened to be recovering from a minor illness, and she kept us updated and took great care of him. She’s learned his quirks and we can tell by the pictures that he’s very comfortable with her!

Nicole was our first experience with Rover. We were going on a fairly long vacation and couldn’t take our cat with us, so needless to say, we were a little nervous about leaving her behind. We booked Nicole for nine visits, and she was fantastic. She always showed up when she said she would, did everything we had asked, and sent us detailed updates after every visit. She played with our cat, groomed her when needed, replenished her water bowls, and cleaned the litter box. Nicole is an extremely reliable and dependable pet sitter—no weirdness, no drama, just someone you can trust to show up and take good care of your pet. We know pet sitting is only a temporary, part-time job for Nicole as she finishes college and prepares to move away from Boston, but the maturity, trustworthiness, reliability, and sense of responsibility she showed us will serve her well wherever her career takes her next. We are extremely grateful to Nicole for taking such good care of our cat and giving us peace of mind while we were away. We would absolutely recommend her.
Katrina was great! I had a last minute scheduling change, and Katrina was very accommodating. She sent lots of pictures and notes for each visit, and based on the pictures, my cat clearly liked playing with her and felt very comfortable around her. Will absolutely book her services again in the future!

Winita is wonderful and my kitties love her so much! She is very thorough and her attention to detail is great. She keeps me updated throughout the whole booking which keeps my mind at ease. I hope to keep her as my sitter for a loooong time. She also takes great pictures and videos. Thank you!

This was our first experience with a pet sitter since moving to the United States, so I was a little nervous about leaving our house keys with someone. I was also worried because my English is not very good and I wasn’t sure if I would be able to communicate my wishes clearly. However, she was incredibly kind, caring, and clearly someone who truly loves animals. She made us feel completely comfortable and gave us great peace of mind while we were away. I would absolutely ask her to take care of our precious cats again in the future. Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of them!

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Cambridge. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
