“Roselle has watched my cat Spooks twice now and she takes such great care of her! My cat is super high energy and Roselle takes the time to get out her zoomies and give her back scratches. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve loved dogs for as long as I can remember and have always been the person who gets excited when there’s a dog in the room. My family has had our dog for the past 10 years, so I’m very comfortable with the day-to-day realities of caring for a dog—from walks, feeding, playtime, and keeping them company to simply making sure they’re comfortable and well cared for. I’ve also helped care for and pet-sit dogs for friends and others over the years. While I’m new to Rover, I’m definitely not new to being around dogs or taking care of them. I’m a physician by training and currently have a very flexible schedule due to a recent surgery, which gives me plenty of time and attention to devote to the dogs I care for. I’m responsible, dependable, attentive to details, and take seriously the trust involved in having someone else care for a member of your family. Most importantly, I genuinely love dogs and would be thrilled to spend some of my extra time walking, playing with, and caring for yours! My schedule is currently very flexible, with a combination of remote research and other flexible work. I’m available for walks and drop-ins throughout the week in the Cambridge/Boston area and can often accommodate mornings, afternoons, evenings, and last-minute requests. I’m happy to work around your dog’s usual routine whenever possible. I know how much trust it takes to leave your dog—and your home—in someone else’s care. I’ll follow your instructions closely, including your dog’s normal walking route, feeding schedule, medications, and any behavioral or safety considerations. On walks, I’m attentive to traffic, other dogs, and anything else that could pose a risk. I’m also happy to send photos and updates so you know your pup is safe and having a good time!
“Isabel is AMAZING. Left my two cats for the first time and was incredibly anxious. Isabel totally calmed my nerves with updates on each visit- including photos of my kitties❤️. I felt like she took care of them as if they were her own. Will DEFINITELY be rebooking Isabel on my next trip out of town. Could not have had a better experience, I highly highly recommend booking Isabel for your pet sitting needs!”

“Darby was great with my 1 yr old Aussie pup! He has a ton of energy and he seemed happy when I got back. My apartment was left just the way I had it and communication was very fast ☺️”

“Sasha was a diligent and kind sitter for our cat. He’s an energetic cat but Sasha kept him entertained, loved, and most importantly safe during the holiday season. I highly recommend you retain her services.”

“Wonderful care, helpful updates, and lots of pictures. My cat is definitely friends with Isabel now! I would absolutely work with her again. Thanks, Isabel, from Stella and me!”

“Alissa was an AMAZING pet sitter -- my cat adored her. Alissa was super attentive, caring, and communicative. It made my vacation so much better knowing my cat was being looked after so well, plus she took many cute pictures. Alissa truly went above and beyond! Can't recommend highly enough.”

“I’d absolutely book Hannah again! Both of my cats have multiple medications and she took great care to get everything right. She was even able to give Bodhi his insulin injection on her first night! She was very communicative and sent lots of photos of the cats and photos of their leftover food (particularly helpful for Rosie, as we had just changed her to a new diet). I didn’t worry about the cats once while we were away. I knew they were in good hands!”

About: Dogs have a special place in my heart. I’ve spent the last 6 years raising and training my own dog from puppyhood into a well-mannered adult, and I recently rescued another puppy who I am doing the same with. I’m very comfortable with everything from potty training to socialization and routines. I understand how important consistency, safety, and communication are, and I treat every pet like my own while respecting your wishes and routine. You’ll get regular updates, photos, and a very loved on puppy when you get home. I’m currently working virtually so I have a lot of time on my hands for your best friends! I’m open to be flexible to your needs. When pets stay with me, I try to make things feel as close to “home” as possible. I follow your routine for feeding, potty breaks, and playtime, and I’m big on safety as well. I build in a mix of exercise and quiet time so pets feel calm and comfortable. I also make an effort to send regular photo updates so you always know how your bff is doing! When I’m caring for pets in their own space, I respect your home and your rules. I keep to your schedule, tidy up food/litter areas, and make sure everything is exactly how you left it. I pay attention to behavior and appetite, watch for anything out of the ordinary, and give plenty of love while you’re away. You can expect clear communication, check-ins, and honesty from me!

About: I've been a pet sitter for family, friends, and neighbors for many years. As someone who grew up with dogs and currently has several cats, I am skilled in caring for a range of dog sizes and animals with various personalities and needs. I work from home, which allows me lots of time to devote to animal care. I take daily evening walks and would love to take your pet with me. I provide house-sitting and during the day animal care, and I love spending time with animals in fenced-in yards and/or going on plenty of walks—whatever your pet prefers! I work from home, so am able to provide midday walks and constant company.
“After having the same sitter for several years, finding someone new is always a daunting task—especially for cat care, which can be surprisingly rare on Rover. This was our first time having Leilani look after our cats while we were away, and all I can say is how incredibly fortunate we feel to have crossed paths with her. We feel so lucky to have found someone who is not only reliable, but also genuinely caring and attentive with animals. Her communication was warm and natural, and she sent us plenty of adorable photos that showed just how well she connected with our cats. It was clear she sincerely bonded with them. We’re truly grateful to have met Leilani and will absolutely be using her services again in the future!”

About: I’ve been taking care of pets all my life! Growing up with 2 dogs & 2 cats, working as a dog walker all through high school and college, and now being a proud cat mom of 2, I’m well versed with caring for animals! I also have experience administering medicine to cats, and giving daily inhalers as I do have an asmathic cat myself. I really understand the anxieties that come with leaving a pet, and will make sure they are well cared for, played with, and provide thorough updates & photos! I work from home and have a flexible work schedule, plus I have a car so getting to your home to care for your pets easily fits into my routine. I will treat your home as my own! I’m happy to take care of house sitting duties as well, like bringing in mail, taking out trash, watering plants- I can even feed your sourdough starter! I also will commit to fast response times, and prompt updates + photos!
About: I've always loved dogs! When I left home for college, I adopted my first one and by the time i graduated I ended up with 3! All of them are mutts and range from 75lbs to 35lbs. My oldest one is about 4 and weighs 75lbs and is a pit lab mix, I'm use to the high energy and burst of energy and also just laying around being a couch potato. My other two are also very much bursts of energy and then couch potatoes who love cuddles and naps! I moved to the Cambridge area recently and my apartment doesn't allow pets at the moment and therefore, my pups are at home and I am missing the wagging tails and walks! I am very experienced with high energy dogs and just being there with them, allowing them to play! I have experience with puppies (since I recently adopted one a year ago and trained her) and have the patience to care for them as well! For the past 4 years I've gained a lot of experience with having my own, and now not having them around me is making me sad and I think being able to share my love with another dog in the area would make my day and a dog waggy :) I work full time from 9-5 however I have time in the morning prior to work and after to do pet care. As well as on the weekends when needed :) I have crates for my dogs, because it provides a space for them but also a piece of mind for me when I am not around! I am comfortable with crating a dog and walking them on leash due to the safety of the animal.

About: I supported and dog-sat a recently adopted dog from an abusive environment over the past four years. Happy to work with anxious dogs or dogs that need lots of quiet time and space. Patient with different needs. I work remotely on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays and can shift responsibilities around to visit before and after work and at lunch, or stay during the day to work. I'm very careful with cats or dogs that try to escape and experienced with keeping them in when I enter or exit. I'm watchful for dogs picking up food on walks and generally watchful for safety.
“You absolutely could not find a better dog sitter than Minhyung. She has been such a blessing to our dog Gilly, who absolutely loves her! Minhyung is attentive, timely, considerate, and goes above and beyond when watching your dog. I have the utmost trust in her, and would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone!”

About: I have had a wide range of dogs, cats and other miscellaneous pets throughout my lifetime and I have a lot of experience with taking care of them. I have trained both of my current dogs in basic obedience (sitting, laying down, come, stay etc). I have loved animals for my entire life, and enjoy taking the time to get to know the individual needs of each animal in order to best care for them. I have in-home dog sat several times before, and I am very attentive and able to cater to any need your pet has while walking, sitting or playing with them. I also used to volunteer at the animal shelter, and I took one of my dogs to a training class to learn proper care and techniques. My husband and I recently got a adopted a puppy and we did a lot of research and “on-the-job” learning of how to raise a well-behaved dog! I am a grad student preparing for a new year! This summer, I have the time to spend time with your pets! My schedule is super flexible and I am able to care for the needs of your beloved animal! My style of care varies a bit from pet to pet. I really enjoy training, and getting to know different animals. An important part of pet care, especially for dogs, is to make sure they have their mental and physical needs met. I am happy to spend time working with your pup (whether in training or socialization practices), exercising them, and making sure they have everything they need. I look to build a bond with the animal to make sure they feel safe as well!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Cambridge
Samichya and her husband were fantastic caretakers for my two beagles. They were wonderfully communicative throughout the stay, always quick to respond, and I felt completely at ease knowing my dogs were in such good hands. I came home to happy pups and a house left in great shape. Highly recommend their care.

Emily was amazing! She took such great care of my puppy, especially while he was recovering from being neutered, and even made a point to give my cat some love during her visits. My puppy can be a little wary of new people, but he and Emily hit it off quickly, and he always looked so happy in the photos she sent. She is incredibly friendly, reliable, and clearly wonderful with animals. I would absolutely recommend her!

Alexandra filled in for us super last-minute due to a cancellation, and not only read through the list of what to expect with our dog / what we needed for a visit, but was patient with our dog meeting a new person, took extra photos, wrote up a through ‘report’ after the walk + visit, and was extremely responsive via messaging. Couldn’t ask for more!

Tess looked after my puppy for me while I was at work this summer and I couldn’t think of a better person for the job! She was so communicative and detail oriented, took great notes on his eating and bathroom schedule. My roommates continuously commented on how sweet she was with him and how well he did with her! I couldn’t recommend her more!!

We were visiting Boston to see friends in from out of town for the wknd and going to be away from our hotel during the day. Rita took such good care of our golden both days. It gave us peace of mind to see photos of our baby smiling on her outings with Rita and that she was having some fun while we were away. Rita fed her dinner and played with her in the room too. We will definitely reach out to Rita for help again!

Julia is the best!!! She's been doing drop in visits with my dog for the past year while I've been at the office and is so communicative and reliable. Willow can be a little anxious about going outside but Julia handled it wonderfully and took such good care of her, giving her a bathroom break, food, medicine, and lots of cuddles and sending me lots of cute pics. Would use Julia forever if we weren't moving out of state. Can't recommend her enough!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
