About: I’ve been caring for dogs—large, medium, and small—since I was 10 years old. In addition to raising 3 golden retrievers and assisting in the delivery and caretaking of an accidental litter of 10 puppies, I’ve been the go-to dog sitter for several families in my home state. I’m currently working from home with a flexible schedule, so I’m available to play with, walk, cuddle, and love on your dog multiple times a day! I am a responsible, clean, and communicative law student who will take great care of your four-legged family members. Expect lots of photos and videos to accompany any walks or visits.
“Lingwen was super responsive and communicative, it was great that she was able to accommodate a last minute request. She also did a great job with the drop-in visit and took great care of our cat, I would definitely recommend her!”

About: I have been a pet sitter in the Boston/Cambridge area for the past 3 years with experience working with cats, dogs, and birds. I largely work with cats and dogs that might need a little extra attention. Does your furry friend need medicine 3 times a day? I do that. Does your dog have leash aggression or very specific likes and dislikes? I’ve dealt with that too. Separation anxiety? Check! Senior dogs struggling with incontinence? I’m here to help. Currently, I offer house sitting (taking out trash, plant care, etc), drop ins, pet sitting (2-3 walks, medicine if applicable, feeding, play time), pet walks, and feeding. I can sometimes accommodate last minute bookings and am available most holidays, evenings and weekends. I love pets and will often spend a little extra time with them if you're worried about them being left alone. I offer pet sitting in my client’s home to keep pets in the environment they feel safest. Before pet sitting for the first time, I will always ask that we meet, take a walk or have a chat with your fur baby present so that we confirm it’s a good fit for everyone. I’m here to learn from you, not run in as an expert or an uncaring sitter.
“Isabel was very friendly and did a great job communicating. My cat seemed to have a great time with her while I was out of town. I'd definitely work with her again!”

“Leilani truly was the best sitter for my baby girl Nahla. She updated me daily with pictures. My pup had so much fun with her. I can’t recommend her enough! My experience was 10/10!!”

About: I’ve been caring for animals of all shapes and sizes since middle school, and I’ve had a cat of my own since I was 15. As a professional beekeeper, I’m comfortable getting my hands dirty and handling high-stress situations! I’m also a runner, so I’d be happy to take your dog on a run or an extra-long walk if they need to burn some energy. I have a flexible schedule as I am currently a student in grad school. Please let me know if you have any specific availability requests! I’ve cared for my cat Archie for 11 years and am experienced with health issues, prescription diets, and anxious behaviors. I’m quick to notice changes and respond appropriately, and I’ll bring that same care to your pet.
“Darby is reliable and trustworthy. Having her check on my cats gave me peace of mind. She provided daily updates and cute pictures for each visit. She is great and I definitely recommend her!”

“Sean was very attentive and helpful throughout the entire process. He was consistent, responsive, and just a really nice guy. I was anxious to leave my kitties for the first time, but Sean went above and beyond, and quickly eased that anxiety. I will absolutely reach out again when I go on vacations!”

“Isabel is a wonderful cat sitter. I trust her completely to give my cat her daily asthma medication. Isabel is thorough and communicative. She sends a ton of pictures and detailed updates. I always feel completely at ease leaving my cat in her care.”

“You absolutely could not find a better dog sitter than Minhyung. She has been such a blessing to our dog Gilly, who absolutely loves her! Minhyung is attentive, timely, considerate, and goes above and beyond when watching your dog. I have the utmost trust in her, and would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone!”

About: I have experience taking care for the needs of both cats and dogs. Caring for animals brings me such joy and helps my well-being as well! I have been taking care of dogs since I was young. I know the time and effort needed to provide them an interactive environment where they are fed, walked, played and cuddled with. For cats, I have experience rescuing stray mothers and their kittens in dire situations. I am good on being on schedule for feedings, mediation, playtime, and alone time. I understand cats have different temperaments and they will be the boss. Having a flexible work schedule and living near a park allows me to prioritize your pet’s needs! I can board cats and small dogs at my home. Your fur baby’s health and wellbeing is my top priority! Before any booking, I will check in with you to make sure that I am able to meet their needs such as enrichment activities, nutrition, and medical needs! If I can’t be your sitter, I will make sure to recommend you to others in the area. 🙂
About: I love spending time with and taking care of my friends’ pets whenever possible! I’ve been trusted to cat sit (drop ins with Benji or Tiki for a couple of days at a time) and dog sit (cared for little Teddy at my apartment for two weeks while his parents were away) for my friend’s furry little ones on several occasions. While I love having fun with the animals in my care, I will always prioritize their safety when I am with them. In addition to loving my friends’ pets, I spent a year nannying for families with dogs whose care I was entrusted with. I looked after (picked up from day care, walked, and fed) two golden retrievers (Kody and Bella) as well as 8 month old Vizla puppy, Yofi! Spending time with them was the highlight of my days and I can’t wait to have a pup in my own home. I’m a student and available early mornings, evenings, and weekends! I also have time during the day to drop in on your pet or take them out for a walk! I’m a student full-time but I have some time before, between, and after classes every day! My weekends are pretty free, they just require a little bit of extra planning to make adequate time for your pet. I will always follow your rules/routines while your pet is in my care, whether it is in my own home or at yours. I will always treat your pet the way I would want mine to be treated. I will also communicate as frequently/infrequently as you’d like, I make it a habit to keep pet owners up to date with our activities!
About: I have had a wide range of dogs, cats and other miscellaneous pets throughout my lifetime and I have a lot of experience with taking care of them. I have trained both of my current dogs in basic obedience (sitting, laying down, come, stay etc). I have loved animals for my entire life, and enjoy taking the time to get to know the individual needs of each animal in order to best care for them. I have in-home dog sat several times before, and I am very attentive and able to cater to any need your pet has while walking, sitting or playing with them. I also used to volunteer at the animal shelter, and I took one of my dogs to a training class to learn proper care and techniques. My husband and I recently got a adopted a puppy and we did a lot of research and “on-the-job” learning of how to raise a well-behaved dog! I am a grad student preparing for a new year! This summer, I have the time to spend time with your pets! My schedule is super flexible and I am able to care for the needs of your beloved animal! My style of care varies a bit from pet to pet. I really enjoy training, and getting to know different animals. An important part of pet care, especially for dogs, is to make sure they have their mental and physical needs met. I am happy to spend time working with your pup (whether in training or socialization practices), exercising them, and making sure they have everything they need. I look to build a bond with the animal to make sure they feel safe as well!

On time, very communicative. Our silver lab doesn’t trust many people and can be very standoffish. During the meet and greet he went up to Monica, sniffed, wagged his tail and felt comfortable with her. Our chocolate lab immediately brought her a toy-so he built trust with her. Will def use Monica again!
We were so grateful that Kerry took such great care of our dog while we were away--her sensitive and thoughtful approach won his trust, and her detailed and quietly humorous reports and many photos made us feel almost as if we had been present. Thank you, Kerry--we very much hope to work with you again!

Had my first drop in with Emily and she was so reassuring! She sent me pictures and updates during the drop in and was very in tune with my dog’s temperament. She genuinely cares about you and your dog!! If you are looking for someone to trust your dog with, Emily is the person!

Kelly took great care of Mochi while we were away. I really liked that she followed up with me for detailed instructions before starting the visit. She was on time for her visits and sent amazing photos of Mochi. Mochi gets anxious when we are away, Kelly did a great job keeping him calm, taking him for walks and kept the house clean. I would highly recommend Kelly to anyone looking for a pet sitter who deeply cares about your pet while you’re away.

Weijia did a wonderful job taking care of my dog! She was very responsible, attentive, and easy to communicate with. She kept me updated and made sure my dog was comfortable and well cared for. I really appreciated her help and would happily book with her again. Highly recommended!

We all love Shawn! She's been caring for our puppy 4x/week for the last month. She's consistent, thoughtful, and he's so happy to see her each morning. Communication has been super easy and she's very attentive to the daily, ever-changing needs of a new puppy. Thanks Shawn!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
