“Tira took care of our cat, Skittles, for a week while we were traveling. She took wonderful care of her and is a great communicator. We received daily updates and photos. Skittles was so happy to see her and enjoyed her visits. I would definitely recommend Tira. :)”

About: I know how much your dog means to you, and leaving them with someone new takes a lot of trust. That is why I treat every single dog in my care exactly like my own family. I have a natural intuition for dogs of all shapes, sizes, and personalities. Caring for pups is a lifelong passion of mine. Right now, my own furry family includes a sweet 16-year-old Cockapoo who taught me the patience needed for senior care, and an energetic 1-year-old puppy who keeps me on my toes! Over the years, I have lived with and pet-sat everything from tiny Shih Tzus to lovable "supermutts."If your dog loves to stay active, they will fit right in. My daily routine revolves around keeping dogs happy and moving. We do regular backyard playtime, long neighborhood walks, exciting hikes, and fun trips to the dog park.Plus, raising my puppy means I am highly trained in positive obedience and puppy management techniques. Whether your dog needs gentle structure, high-energy exercise, or just a cozy spot on the couch to relax, I adapt to their unique personality. I cannot wait to meet your pup and give them a fun, safe, and loving home away from home! I work part time from home and have a very flexible schedule that can accommodate your dogs needs. They will have supervised access to the backyard when they want/need, as well as walks and rest time. I have a fenced yard, and an Australian cattle dog/husky mix who LOVES all dogs. He’s crate trained and I can easily work with crate training’s as needed!

About: I have tried to live life around as many animals as possible. Grew up with dogs and cats and now am a proud cat dad. I pride myself on being punctual, responsible, and caring. I have taken care of dogs for family and friends for years. Being a Rover customer has encouraged me to be the best possible sitter, walker, visitor that I could be. I respect people's boundaries and animal's boundaries as well. I would prefer to meet you and your pet before we confirm sitting or visits just to make sure everyone is comfortable(especially your pets!). I am currently working part time and have lots of available time to walk, sit, and visit your cats or dogs. I can do multiple visits per days in Somerville if need be. I would prefer to take time to meet you and your pets before booking. I fully understand the concerns of having people in your home and treat spaces like I would want my home treated. I'm happy to clean litter boxes per directions and would always put things (food, leashes, toys, etc..) back in their place as directed. if you were to be out of town and asked me to retrieve mail, monitor lights and other utilities I would do that to the best of my abilities as well. As someone who has had Rover sitters come visit my cat Pepper I appreciate that extra effort that many of them have put forth. I would also be happy to communicate all visits through the app or phones with pictures and quick updates.
About: I grew up volunteering at pet shops, watching dog videos as a favorite past time (still do) and petsitting for friends all my life. I currently live with a senior dog and play/take care of her most days also! I have a natural knack for connecting with even the most timid, grumpy or anxious animals quickly. I like to approach pets respectfully and gently, bonding at their pace so they feel safe and settled easily. I’ve taken care of dogs, cats and bunnies week+ at a time. I currently live with a 9yo dog, so I have a soft spot for senior dogs. I am often the person who walks and cares for the dog throughout the week because I work remotely. Walks should be paced by the dog’s desired pace w lot of sniffing, time at home should feel safe and calm (w occasional fun w toys of course) and you should be communicated to feel anxious-free comfortable while you are away from your pet! I have a car and work remote, unless I am already booked or have a meeting, I am relatively flexible. Usual availabilities: Weekdays: Walks and visits – flexible day to day, but prefer to walk before 9am, during lunch hours, or after 4:30pm. Sitting – available to sit 9-5pm but able to go longer on Mon, Tues, Fri Sun: flexible and available 3:30pm onwards Feel free to lmk what you need and we can work it out! When it’s play time, it should be fun and energetic! When it’s nap time, they should feel calm and safe. I work a flexible remote job, so I will be able to provide as much attention as you pet needs.
About: I have experience walking, feeding, and taking care of my friends’ very excitable young dog along with their attention-seeking cat in addition to one senior dog. I work remotely most of the week and will have time to come over and check on your pets throughout the week in addition to the weekend. I am happy to come to your home to feed your animals, walk your dogs, and play with your cats as many times a day as you need.
“Melissa did a fantastic job taking care of my cats. They warmed up to her and played a lot. I loved the videos she shared while I was away. I would leave my cats under her care again anytime.”

“Ashely did a wonderful job caring for my older kitties while I was away. I had some issues with my automatic litter box, and she kept me up to date, and was able to set up a different litter box I had shipped to my house while away. One of my cats is having some health issues, and requires special attention with her diet, and Ashely did a GREAT job. The cats were calm and happy when I returned home, which was a huge relief. Thank you Ashley!”

“Was incredibly attuned to my lil anxious Winston, provided consistent helpful feedback & was just overall a perfect pet sitter for my baby boy! I was nervous using rover for the first time, and Rachel exceeded my expectations & went above and beyond. Will be working with her again!”

“Kayala was fantastic with our two cats during our week away—professional, punctual, and genuinely caring. Her daily photo updates and thoughtful notes let us relax knowing the kitties were in great hands. She’s now our first-choice sitter; can’t recommend her highly enough!”
