“Andrea has been lovely to work with, my dog Kiko has really enjoyed daycare with her and is always happy when I pick him up. She is very reliable and communicative and has made our first Rover experience a very good one. I will definitely continue to come to Andrea when Kiko needs a sitter!”

About: I know how much your dog means to you, and leaving them with someone new takes a lot of trust. That is why I treat every single dog in my care exactly like my own family. I have a natural intuition for dogs of all shapes, sizes, and personalities. Caring for pups is a lifelong passion of mine. Right now, my own furry family includes a sweet 16-year-old Cockapoo who taught me the patience needed for senior care, and an energetic 1-year-old puppy who keeps me on my toes! Over the years, I have lived with and pet-sat everything from tiny Shih Tzus to lovable "supermutts."If your dog loves to stay active, they will fit right in. My daily routine revolves around keeping dogs happy and moving. We do regular backyard playtime, long neighborhood walks, exciting hikes, and fun trips to the dog park.Plus, raising my puppy means I am highly trained in positive obedience and puppy management techniques. Whether your dog needs gentle structure, high-energy exercise, or just a cozy spot on the couch to relax, I adapt to their unique personality. I cannot wait to meet your pup and give them a fun, safe, and loving home away from home! I work part time from home and have a very flexible schedule that can accommodate your dogs needs. They will have supervised access to the backyard when they want/need, as well as walks and rest time. I have a fenced yard, and an Australian cattle dog/husky mix who LOVES all dogs. He’s crate trained and I can easily work with crate training’s as needed!
“Michelle toot great care of my boy Roy. She kindly shared photos and frequent updates. Can’t believe how quickly Roy settled in and appeared to be at home! He will definitely be spending more time over at Michelle’s.”

“A truly 5 star experience. Cameron was easy to communicate with and work with. Just off vibe alone I knew my dog was in good hands when he was picked up. Throughout the day I was consistently updated with photos and videos of my dog out and about. I highly highly recommend Cameron to anyone in need of a dog-sitter. Next time I’m in Boston I will 100% be reaching out to him first. Finn will miss Cameron and Rosie a ton!!! 5 stars!!”

“Elizabeth and Rodrigo were great with Oscar. They were flexible when I needed to shift my drop-off and pickup times, which made my day so much easier. They sent a few photos throughout the day too, which I always love getting. Oscar came home tired and happy, so he clearly had a good time. Would book with them again in a heartbeat. Thanks you two!”

“Maya always has a great time at Lynne’s! Lynne is great communicator and always lets us know about any other dogs that will be in her care while Maya is there. We look forward to booking with Lynne again in the future!”

“Nate is a wonder with my pups and super accommodating to me. This was my first time using rover and I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter! He sent pictures, and bonded with both of my dogs who are typically skeptical of new people. They felt right at home with Nate and I couldn’t appreciate it more.”

“Cardinal had so much fun at his small-dog play date!! I appreciated that Betsy took time for a thoughtful meet and greet so that I was sure he would feel comfortable! I was very happy that he could enjoy time outside of his crate with other dogs in a warm and caring environment! Will definitely book again!!”

About: TLDR: WHY ME? - anxiety-free environment: one family’s dog at a time - routine matters: default 3-4 walks a day - stay connected: unlimited updates and photos - safe location: big fenced area in a safe neighborhood - fragrance-free household: no scented detergents MORE ABOUT ME: Hi! I’m Annie — a dental student and lifelong dog lover based in the Boston/Somerville area. I grew up with a corgi (Lulu) and a German Shepherd (Skye), so caring for dogs has always been a big part of my life. I’m calm, reliable, and very attentive to routines. I’m comfortable administering medication, following specific feeding or walking instructions, and adjusting care to each dog’s needs — whether that’s a long walk, a slow stroll, or extra cuddles. I study from home most days, which means dogs get plenty of attention and supervision throughout the day. I also have a car and access to a fenced dog park downstairs, making walks and outdoor time easy and safe — rain or shine. I’m available for dog walking, drop-in visits, and overnight care in Somerville. Your dog’s comfort, safety, and happiness are always my top priority, and I care for every pup as if they were my own. I have a very flexible schedule and study from home most days, so I’m able to give dogs lots of attention, timely walks, and consistent care throughout the day. I also have a car and love getting outside for walks — rain or shine. I prioritize safety, communication, and consistency in every type of care. I carefully follow all instructions, routines, and preferences, and I’m always attentive to a dog’s comfort and well-being. Whether in my home or yours, I make sure pets feel calm, secure, and well cared for, and I’m happy to provide updates so you can feel at ease while you’re away.
“Ray was amazing with our dog! I left my dog on daycare on Saturday and Sunday at his place. On Sunday morning my dog was happy to go back at Ray’s house! Ray and his family really took such good care of my dog Ringo, playing with him, taking him for walks. Ray was also flexible as he accepted to look after our dog at the very last minute on Friday night. We had a restaurant reservation for our 5th anniversary and we thought that we would left our dog in the car. Unfortunately, it was hot that day and we couldn’t do that so I asked Ray if he could look after Ringo for the evening. He kindly accepted. I strongly recommend Ray!”

“Fernanda was great! It was our first time using Rover and she helped us navigate it. We felt at ease leaving our puppy Anto with her. She was very communicative and sent us pictures with updates. Drop-off and pick-up were easy. We will definitely book her again!”

About: ***NOTICE FOR NEW & REPEAT CLIENTS*** I will be abroad in Japan for research Sept 2026-August 2027, after which I’ll return to Boston and resume pet services. You’ll find these months blocked off on my calendar. Thank you for your support and patience. I look forward to coming back and seeing the fur babies!!! *** I’ve had dogs in the family since I was a child, and they’ve been all sizes, temperaments and with different needs. I’ve worked with multiple R+ and balanced trainers in the Boston area and actively use training techniques throughout the day to help dogs who are selective-reactive, fearful, shy and/or have separation anxiety. I’m happy to incorporate any trainings you’re working on with your pups while they’re in my care***I do not believe pet services should be financially inaccessible. If you are struggling financially and need assistance, please reach out. I am a graduate student, and spend no more than 3 hours teaching/working on campus, typically in the afternoon, but my office is only 10 minute walk away so I’m rarely gone for long. For pets who would do best with full time WFH, my schedule is flexible. The rest of the time I spend either at home or outdoors at parks or on hikes. My life truly revolves around dogs. Stay at home movie nights with lots of treats or hangouts at the dog parks—you name it! I now have a car, so my serviced area radius has increased for walking and checkin services! I do not offer boarding/stay services in the client’s home.

About: Hi there! I have had dogs all my life and have cared for a variety of breeds. I also have spent time at the shelter as well as fostering dogs of all sizes, aggression level, and age. I am currently looking to spend some quality time and provide care to your companions as I transition my career path. Furthermore, I am active and am able to provide your dog with exercise besides just walking if requested :) I also know doggy CPR and have experience with crisis situations with dogs. I do own a vehicle as well (best for emergency situations). I currently live in Somerville from North Carolina and hope to meet you all! During my career shift, I will be free all day. I had raised my own dog before moving here and fit him into both my busy and free schedules that I had during those years. At this point I will have flexible availability allowing me to take on dogs with more needs. Taking care of a dog requires attention, patience, discipline, exercise, and fun. I make sure to incorporate all of these elements into taking care of my or your pets. I also consider the dog’s personality as well as I have taken care of quite a number of dogs and have learned that one size doesn’t fit all. I take pride in discussing a dogs individual needs when being hired for a care job and will abide by them to ensure your pup is happy and safe.
“Cheuck was an excellent sitter for our dog Simka. We basically never leave her with someone we don’t know, but he made us comfortable from the beginning and she had a great time. It was fun to see photos and videos throughout her stay.”

Yunyao went above and beyond during the 4 days of daycare! She made sure the temperature was cool enough, she made Hazy little ice fruit treats, and she sent us multiple updates with photos throughout the day each day. Hazy was so spoiled and could not have been in better hands!

We had a great experience with Margaret! She watched Josh for daycare and was incredibly patient, caring, and attentive throughout the day. Josh is still a puppy and can be a lot at times, but she treated him like he was her own and made him feel completely comfortable. I felt very confident leaving him with her and would absolutely book with her again!

I am very happy with Lynn's care of Fiona. Her attentiveness and care for our 9-month-old puppy was evident, and--even more important--Fiona seemed to thoroughly enjoy her day with Lynn (which was long: from 8am to 8pm). A few days before the 'big day' Lynn arranged a 'meet and greet' at a nearby park, and Fiona took to her immediately. So, when it came time for us to leave Fiona in Lynn's care, the transition was seamless, and Fiona went along happily. I will definitely ask Lynn to watch Fiona on my future trips to Cambridge/Somerville.

Veronica and her husband are fantastic! they’ve watched our senior dog Calamari a number of times and have been so goodie with her every time. Veronica sends plenty of updates & photos. She also has been able to administer daily meds for Calamari, which is a huge help. 10/10 recommend leaving your pup with Veronica!! thanks again both 🙏🏽

Wendy has been an amazing pet sitter for Bruno. She is very proactive in sharing regular pictures and updates, which gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. She is also very flexible and accommodating with pickup and drop-off schedules, making the whole process smooth and stress-free. What we truly appreciated was how engaged she kept Bruno—she spent time playing with him and ensured he felt comfortable and happy. It’s clear that she genuinely cares for the pets she looks after. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter!
