About: While I’m new to Rover, I’m a lifelong animal lover and experienced pet owner. I grew up surrounded by animals of all kinds — dogs, cats, rabbits, and even horses — so caring for pets has always been a natural part of my life. My husband and I recently said goodbye to our beloved hound/lab mix, Duke, who was part of our family for 12 wonderful years. Our home feels a little too quiet without him, and we truly miss having an animal around. Caring for your pet would be something we’d genuinely love to do, not just a service we offer. We live in a single-family home with a fully fenced yard and are located directly across the street from a large park with plenty of walking trails — perfect for safe outdoor time, walks, and play. Both my husband and I work from home, which means your pet will get plenty of attention, supervision, and flexibility for potty breaks, walks, and cuddles throughout the day. We also have two school-aged children who adored Duke and miss him dearly. They are very gentle, respectful, and experienced around animals, and they love helping (under close supervision) with things like tossing a ball, giving extra pets, or keeping a furry friend company. I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet, and I take that responsibility seriously. I’m happy to follow your pet’s routine closely, provide regular updates and photos, and make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. My husband and I both work from home Monday through Friday, which allows us to be present and attentive throughout the day. While our children have some after-school activities, there is typically at least one adult home and available in the evenings. On weekends, we do have some regular commitments (such as sports practices), but we only mark ourselves as available on days when we know we’ll be home for the majority of the time. Thanks to our flexible work schedules and the fact that our children are still relatively young, we’re able to spend plenty of quality time with any furry friends staying with us. Our single-family home features a fully fenced yard and is located in a very walkable neighborhood, directly across from a large park with extensive trails for daily walks and exercise. We’re an active household with plenty of time and attention to give, and your pet will never feel like just another booking. In addition to overnight care, we’re happy to provide daytime companionship for pets who shouldn’t be left alone for extended periods due to work schedules or other commitments.

About: I am a Paw-rent of a wonderful 12lb/6y.o. BostonTerrier-Chihuahua mix rescue. I grew up caring for dogs all my life and adopting my pooch has been fantastic. I want to make available to other dogs the care that I give to my own. His name is Cheech I am currently transitioning from work and figuring out my next step in life. At home all day and available for boarding other dogs during this transition. I live with my pooch and we live near the Neponset river, a great area to go for walks with active dogs If your dog is not active, am happy to cuddle on the couch as well. Let me know of special diet or medications your dog might require and I will follow instructions
