Y Tran was absolutely wonderful with Kiko! She was very attentive, loving, and truly cared for him as if he were her own. She sent me so many pictures and updates throughout the day, which made me feel completely at ease. I was super happy seeing how loved and comfortable Kiko felt with her. She is incredibly sweet, and I would definitely rebook with her again!

About: A lot of my experience comes from caring for my girlfriend's two dogs, who are basically my two best friends—a Japanese Chin and a Lhasa-Poo. Whenever her parents are out of town, I'm usually the one taking care of them. We've even watched them for weeks at a time while their family was traveling, so I'm comfortable with everything from feeding and walks to playtime, keeping them on their routine, and making sure they get plenty of attention. I've also known our Lhasa-Poo since she was a puppy. When she first came home, my girlfriend and I spent that entire first week with her, helping her adjust to a new environment, keeping her company at night, and making sure she felt safe and comfortable. More than anything, I'm just a huge dog lover. Whenever I go back home to India, I spend a lot of my time hanging out with the neighborhood stray dogs. They've become part of my visits home. I know every dog is different, and my goal is always to make them feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you're away. I'll care for your dog the same way I care for the dogs in my own life: with lots of attention, affection, and plenty of updates so you know they're doing well. I work from home, so I'm around throughout the day and have a very flexible schedule. That means I can take dogs out for regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, and make sure they're never left alone for long. I love staying active, so I'm always happy to fit in extra walks or outdoor time if your pup enjoys it. I also welcome boarding on most weekends, unless I'm out of town, which isn't very often. My goal is to make sure your dog feels comfortable, gets plenty of attention, and sticks to their normal routine while you're away. I live in a very dog-friendly apartment, and I'm very used to sharing my space with dogs. I help care for my girlfriend's two pups regularly, so having dogs around the house is something I'm completely comfortable with. In my home, dogs are welcome to roam freely and make themselves at home—they're welcome on the couch and in any room unless you have different rules you'd like me to follow. I know every dog has their own routine, so I'm happy to stick to whatever they're used to, whether that's crate training, scheduled feeding times, or specific walking routines. Once again, my goal is to make your dog feel as comfortable and stress-free as possible while you're away.

Our pup was in a daycare with Tiffany and Steve for a little less than 6 hours, and he seemed to have had a very comfortable time with them. Tiffany and Steve were very prompt with their responses, sent us a lot of updates and pictures even in the few hours he was with them, and a detailed rover card at the end of the stay. As first time clients of theirs, they showed us the entire space where they stay with the dogs and the other dogs our pup would be playing with during his visit. They also were super flexible about his pick up and drop off times and were very eager to keep to our pup's daily schedule and meal times. I would happily board my dog with Tiffany and Steve again! Thanks guys :)

About: I’ve always had dogs in my life. I grew up beside them and learned how to care for them at a very early age. I have experience with many different breeds, sizes, personalities, ages; from dogs who were my family, from my friend’s dogs to dogs belonging to people in my local community. Since I’ve been living in Boston for almost a year now, I have scouted out great routes to walk dogs to local spots for play and enjoyment, especially in nature. Special skills include dog breed knowledge, basic commands training, clicker training, animal welfare, and basic wilderness first aid training. I work from home 70% of the time and my schedule is wonderfully quite flexible. I am able to meet basic needs like potty breaks or walks and easily adjust my routine around the dog’s needs. I have worked with many different dog personalities and characteristics before and can take care of your dog however needed. I allow dogs on the bed and couch, have plenty of treats on hand, have many pet friendly locations nearby to take them, etc.

About: Since childhood dogs have been a big part of life. From my big loaf of a mutt growing up, to helping my aunts with their pair of border collies I'm always learning more ways to connect with pets . I live in large loft with lots of space to run and play. Located in Downtown Boston; minutes away from the Greenway, Commons, and Harborwalk. Available for boarding, sitting walks and drop-ins. I have years of experience with big dogs, puppies and elderly pooches. I offer structured walks. These aren't just quick bathroom breaks. I provide focused, active walks tailored to your dog's energy level. For high-energy or larger breeds, this includes paced exercise to ensure they get a thorough workout; for seniors or smaller dogs, we take a gentler, scent-driven approach to keep them mentally stimulated without overexertion. I work entirely from home and within the immediate local neighborhood. This setup grants me excellent scheduling fluidity, allowing me to accommodate midday requests, early morning routines, or late-evening check-ins with ease. When your pet is in my care, they receive structured, high-quality attention. Because my day is entirely organized around pet safety and lifestyle needs, I am highly reliable, prompt, and capable of spending extended, quality time keeping your dog company. Taking care of furry friends has turned from my favorite hobby to my 9-5 (sometime 24/7 lol). Available for last minute booking. Just ask! I am very experienced with high energy breeds. Boredom can lead to stress, so I incorporate interactive play, puzzle toys, and basic command reinforcement into our time together to keep their minds sharp and focused. I have a well provisioned toychest to keep your pooch engaged and active as well as a lifetime worth of tips and tricksk up my proverbial sleeves. Centrally located for convenient dropoff/pickup near Logan Airport. Multiple dog parks within walking distance. Stay-at home full time attention for your pet.

About: I have grown up with and cared for 5 dogs in my family, including 3 at one time! I am reliable and dependable to make sure your dogs are walked and cared for. This is a something I am pursuing out of love for dogs. I miss living with a dog day to day and hope your furry friends and I can build a great friendship! I work hybrid, remote from East Boston and in office in Somerville. I am looking to walk dogs or have drop in visits before and after work and during lunch. When I work from home I am even more flexible to work all hours. I love walking dogs to be active and play with them while I don’t have my own. My office is dog friendly so if I am sitting your dog for the week and it is friendly with strangers and other dogs we can discuss bringing your pup to work with me! If I am invited into an owners home to play with or pick-up a dog, I will be curtious and respectful. I am comfortable with crating and free roaming dogs in home. I am happy to feed your pet (no matter how extravagant!) and making sure they feel cared for. I currently live in an apartment and am comfortable caring for your dogs in my home and we will go on long walks or staying at your home!

About: I grew up around dogs and have always gravitated toward them. My childhood dog of about 20 years passed away a year ago, and caring for other dogs is a meaningful way for me to reconnect and enjoy other dogs' company. I love walking around Boston so walks and outdoor activities are not an issue for me whatsoever. I used to regularly look after my family members' dogs while they were busy. Whether it's walks, playtime, feeding, or simply keeping them company, I'll treat your pet like they're my own. I'm available on Mondays through Thursdays after 5:30pm and earlier in the afternoon during the weekends. I love being around dogs so I will rarely pass on the opportunity to do so - my schedule is very flexible and will try to work around your schedule if im able to My apartment building is very pet-friendly, and is facing the Boston Commons so I'm always able to take the dogs on walks and have them over at my house during the day.

Indrajeet was a lifesaver on the day that I needed puppy care for my 11 week old German shorthaired pointer! I last minute requested his help and his response was immediate as well as very kind. He seemed like a natural caretaker and had a good sense of what my puppy’s needs were throughout the day. His communication was also excellent with frequent updates every couple of hours so that I felt very confident with his care. I also felt like he gave my puppy adequate mental stimulation throughout the day by going on walks, playing, engaging him so that my puppy wasn’t misbehaved or hyper coming home but the exact temperament as he would be if he spent a day with me. I would be so happy if Indrajeet would look after Kuma again 🥹🫶🏼!!

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Boston on Rover is $55.5 per day (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of August 2026, there are 2,952 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Boston. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Boston commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 2,952 sitters in Boston, 87% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
