About: I’ve had dogs in my home for the past 21 years, namely an array of bully breeds both large and small. When I moved abroad in 2023, my English bulldog moved in with my family and I’ve been eager to welcome all of my friends’ dogs into my life and home ever since. I’m often dog-sitting for friends across New England and thought now is as good of a time as any to offer the same support to others! I’m a full-time remote employee with a spacious apartment that happens to have an enclosed deck and located across the street from a sprawling park with dedicated dog areas! I’m a typical millennial woman who is always willing to lend my time and space to some sweet pups. My apartment is dog friendly i.e., they’re welcome in all rooms, on the furniture, and to enjoy the fenced in deck on nice days. I love long walks and therefore long walk companions and maintain a quiet and calm home life.
“We were passing through Atlanta on vacation and wanted to visit the GA Aquarium. I contacted Maddy to watch our dog Annie for the day and she responded promptly. Her place was only a mile from the aquarium so we dropped Annie off and in no time Maddy had sent us an update. She sent us several updates and pictures throughout the day, which I appreciated. She took Annie out for a walk as well. Annie seemed to feel comfortable with Maddy and I’m so grateful she was available to care for our baby! I highly recommend Maddy and will reach out again next time we’re in the area.”
About: I grew up with 2 Yorkies and bulldogs! I love dogs with my life. Dogs are like family to me. One of my Yorkies (they both live in my hometown) passed away recently due to her age, so I do know how to properly take care of dogs even when it comes to senior dogs or even puppies. I am always available to take care of dogs! I live with my boyfriend who works at home so he is available in case I’m not home. I go to law school so sometimes it does get busy but I’m always happy to take care of a baby (pet)! I take care of pets at my home by providing them a place for them to be able to sleep comfortably and play with their toys. We had a great experience with Margaret! She watched Josh for daycare and was incredibly patient, caring, and attentive throughout the day. Josh is still a puppy and can be a lot at times, but she treated him like he was her own and made him feel completely comfortable. I felt very confident leaving him with her and would absolutely book with her again!
I am very happy with Lynn's care of Fiona. Her attentiveness and care for our 9-month-old puppy was evident, and--even more important--Fiona seemed to thoroughly enjoy her day with Lynn (which was long: from 8am to 8pm). A few days before the 'big day' Lynn arranged a 'meet and greet' at a nearby park, and Fiona took to her immediately. So, when it came time for us to leave Fiona in Lynn's care, the transition was seamless, and Fiona went along happily. I will definitely ask Lynn to watch Fiona on my future trips to Cambridge/Somerville.
