“Jeff did a great job of entertaining Nala. He let her play in his fenced in backyard and wore her out and let her nap. He sent many pictures and a couple videos to keep me updated. He was a great sitter and it seemed like Nala had just as much fun as Jeff did. I would definitely recommend him to anyone”

About: My family grew up raising dogs. I have taken care of dogs and cats for friends and family and provided much love and attention to their pets. I am responsible, helpful, trustworthy, compassionate, and animal-loving! I work from home so have a good amount of flexibility both during the week and on weekends. I can fit pet care easily into my days. I am responsible, always follow the rules, and communicate well. You’ll always feel safe having me in your home and taking care of your pet!
“We just moved to Seaport and glad to have found Monica on Rover for our doodle’s daycare. He’s one anxious boy but Monica took great care of him. She’s responsive with communication and sends me photos to ensure he’s enjoying his day with his other daycare buddies. Already booked Monica again for boarding.”

“My dog always wags his tail almost jumping out the car from excitement to see Jessica. He starts to whine if I’m parked too long outside of her place and then jumps and is super happy when he gets to see her. I can tell he’s so happy when she watches him. She is great and super active and attentive with animals. Whenever my puppy comes home from daycare with her, he sleeps 12+ hours from how tired he is. Better than most daycares I’ve been to !!!”

About: New to Rover but not new to pet care! I’m the first person my neighbors, friends, and relatives will call to care for their dogs and cats for the last 4 years. My priority is making sure your pet is comfortable and safe at all times- and has lots of fun! I have a Cavapoo named Miski who is the sweetest and loves meeting humans, dogs, and cats! I call myself a stay-at-home dog mom because my work day revolves around my dog and the pets I take care of. This means your pet will receive plenty of attention, cuddles, and exercise. I enjoy frequent beach walks and enjoy them even more when I have a furry friend (or two) with me. I do not have a yard but I will walk your dog every 2-4 hours. I have a seperate room where dogs can use a pee pad if they want to. While boarding, your dog will stay with my 30lb Cavapoo in my home, she is very friendly and loves meeting new dogs!
“Our other dog sitter cancelled last minute and Jhona was able to step in and take very great care of our dog! Roo had fun walks and playtime and we got photos and updates during his stay. Will book again”

About: I’ve cared for dogs of all breeds and sizes since I was 10. Friends, family, and neighbors trust me to walk, feed, bathe, and love their pets like my own. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or theirs, I make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable. I stick closely to their usual routines—meal times, potty breaks, walks, and playtime—to reduce stress while their owners are away. I always follow any specific instructions, from medications to feeding preferences, and I give regular updates and photos to keep pet parents in the loop. I’m clean, respectful of the home, and make sure every pet feels at ease while in my care.
About: I've taken care of dogs and cats my entire life. I've had dogs in my family home, and 11 years ago we adopted a 7 week old puppy. We then adopted a kitten and completed our little family. I promise your pets will be very loved during their stay and I will send pictures and videos everyday to make you comfortable while you’re away. I work from home so I have a very open schedule. We have an 11-year-old boxer mix who relies on me for walks and love every day! In our home, the animals are prioritized. We have a fenced-in backyard and are across the street from a large park. Dogs and cats are allowed in the bed and on the furniture, and our spacious house offers plenty of room to play!

Nick provided an amazing stay and walk for Rocky! He was incredibly communicative throughout the entire visit and kept me updated every step of the way. Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
