About: I've taken care of dogs and cats my entire life. I've had dogs in my family home, and 11 years ago we adopted a 7 week old puppy. We then adopted a kitten and completed our little family. I am often the go-to pet sitter for all of my friends and family and have experience sitting puppies, kittens, older dogs, and older cats! I promise your pets will be very loved during their stay and I will send pictures and videos everyday to make you comfortable while you’re away. I work from home so I have a very open schedule. We have an 11-year-old boxer mix who relies on me for walks and love every day! In our home, the animals are prioritized. We have a fenced-in backyard and are across the street from a large park. Dogs and cats are allowed in the bed and on the furniture, and our spacious house offers plenty of room to play!
“Steve and Tiffany are really nice! They sent me regular updates and took good care of Duke. They took him for walks and gave him toys and treats. They are also very responsive.”

“Jhona was a great host - kind, responsive and patient with noodle, my 2-year old Maltese. Noodle is anxious, and takes time to open up and adjust but Jhona was able to handle him without any issues. Regular updates and pictures were shared with me, and I highly recommend Jhona to anyone in need of a sitter :)”
“Yan was SO wonderful! Very attentive to text and sent lots of photos during doggy daycare. Flexible on hours and fed him lunch each day. Bodhi looked very happy and well cared for at pickup. Capped of our visit with an adorable Polaroid of our dog’s face. Would definitely work with Yan again!”

“Hudson had a great time with Jamie! This was his first time staying with a babysitter so I was a little nervous about how he’d do (and nervous to leave him 😂), but Jamie was great and Hudson seemed happy and calm both days when I picked him up. Would definitely recommend!”

“Lindsey did really great with Max and I can tell Max liked her a lot! Additionally she was great at answering questions I had! I think Max had a great time, I’ll definitely have Lindsey puppy sit again!! Thank you!! :)”

“Radka is an amazing dog sitter and she takes great care of my needy wiener dogs. My dogs are always thrilled to be back and would kiss her goodbye! Radka also communicates well and gives detailed updates that are very helpful.”

“Ana was really great with our very anxious 13 year old pug-daschund mix, Honey. We have never left honey with a sitter before and the first time couldn't have been better. Ana managed honeys anxiety issues with utmost care and professionalism. Will definitely look forward to utlizing her services in the future.”

“Maddy was SO great and sweet with Millie. She sent lots of pictures which was so nice and she is very communicative and quick to respond! I definitely recommend her!”

“Y Tran has taken care of Kiko many times, and I always feel completely at peace leaving him with her. She truly loves Kiko, and it shows in the way she cares for him. She constantly sends me tons of pictures and updates, which makes me feel very reassured and connected while I’m away. She takes Kiko on many walks, gives him lots of attention, and he always looks so happy with her. What I appreciate most is that she does everything with genuine love and care, and it’s very noticeable. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and attentive for their pet.”

“Emily and Robbie were great! Really responsive, sent a lot of photos, really made my dog feel comfortable and at home. I will definitely be using them again!”

About: I’ve loved dogs for as long as I can remember, and having my own dog since I was 12 made them a big part of my life growing up. Being away from home for college means I really miss my dog, which is one of the reasons I enjoy dog-sitting so much, it lets me spend time caring for and bonding with dogs while giving them the attention they deserve. Over the past three years in Boston, I’ve regularly dog-sat for friends and families who trust me because I’m dependable, attentive, and focused on maintaining each dog’s routine and comfort. I’m currently a senior in college with classes mainly in the mornings, so I’m home and available for most of the day. This schedule allows me to prioritize pet care, stick to routines, and provide consistent supervision and attention. When dogs stay with me, I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for by following their usual schedule as closely as possible. Dogs are never left alone for more than four hours, and I send daily updates and photos so owners feel reassured while they’re away. My apartment also has a dog park amenity, which makes potty breaks and outdoor time easy, safe, and convenient
“Brendan was amazing with my dog, Birdie! This was Birdie’s very first time at doggy daycare, and I couldn’t have asked for a better person to care for her. Brendan was incredibly friendly, warm, and accommodating from the start—he immediately put both me and Birdie at ease. He was so communicative throughout the day, sending updates and photos that made me feel totally comfortable and reassured. It’s always hard leaving your pup with someone new, but Brendan made it easy. I felt like Birdie was in such loving, capable hands. Highly recommend!”

About: I have had pets in my house for as long as I can remember. Cats, dogs, a bunny, hamsters, geckos, fish, and guinea pigs. I even fostered multiple cats/kittens at a time. I love all the little quirks every dog has and no specific needs are off limits. I also have experience administering meds to dogs and cats. I want the animals to feel love and comfort while with me! I treat animals like family :) I am currently looking for a part time job (hopefully rover!), so my schedule might change. But as of now I am free 7 days a week and any time. I have no pets in my place currently. But I can give your dog walks/potty breaks at any time of the day. The pets are allowed on the couch and in bed if they wanted but if you prefer to bring their crate that’s ok too!
About: I’m a lifelong dog owner with hands-on experience caring for a wide range of breeds, from energetic puppies to quirky seniors. I work from home, so I’m able to offer tons of attention, exercise, and consistency throughout the day. Having lived with everything from labs to Pyrenees mixes, I understand the importance of meeting each dog’s unique needs, whether that’s structured walks, gentle senior care, or patient socialization for shy pups. I’m comfortable with big dogs and independent personalities, and my own experience training puppies and supporting older dogs means your pup is in caring, knowledgeable hands. What sets me apart is my lifelong experience caring for a variety of breeds—including puppies and seniors—and my work-from-home flexibility means dogs get real companionship and attention all day. I understand big, independent, and quirky personalities, and I prioritize individualized care, from puppy training to gentle support for older dogs. I take the time to get to know every dog, building trust through patience, routine, and play. Pet care is a natural part of my daily life, not an afterthought. Since I work from home, I’m able to integrate walks, playtime, and check-ins throughout the day—whether it’s a morning stroll, afternoon games in the park, or relaxed evenings together. My routine is flexible, so dogs always get outside for fresh air and exercise and receive plenty of attention between my work sessions. On weekends, I love exploring new neighborhoods, local parks, or heading to the beach—always bringing dogs along for new adventures. Whether it’s active pups needing stimulation or seniors who prefer a calm presence, I adapt my days to make sure every dog feels comfortable, safe, and part of my everyday world. When caring for pets in my home, I make sure they’re comfortable, safe, and integrated into my daily routine—regular walks to nearby parks or the beach, supervised playtime, and cozy rest spots throughout my home. I keep to each dog’s familiar schedule as much as possible, including feeding times, exercise, and any training or medication routines. In a client’s home, I respect their space and routines, making sure pets feel secure in their own environment. I follow all instructions closely, from special diet needs to unique quirks or favorite toys, and keep in touch with updates and photos so owners know their pets are happy and cared for. Most importantly, I treat every dog like they’re my own—with patience, structure, and genuine affection—whether they’re here for a day, a weekend, or longer.

“Our first Roover experience for us and we are so happy about Vienna's stay! Jim and his four years old little boy took amazing care of her and shared some cute videos at the park playing with her favorite ball over the day. We felt super relieved to see that she had a great day and was not too difficult (2 year old high energy golden at home and we were a bit anxious to give her away for a day). Everything went really well and we can't recommend enough Jim! We will use him again next time we need it! :)”

“very helpful and flexible when I had last minute changes of plans. took excellent care of my dog and sent dozens of photos! my dog loved him and was so happy all day. i absolutely trusted he was in good hands.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Winthrop
Ana Paula is a very pleasant & likable person that our dog warmed up to immediately. The drop off location was quite convenient (near the airport) and easy to find (alongside the beach). If we spend more time in Boston with our dog in the future, we would definitely choose her again.

Nick provided an amazing stay and walk for Rocky! He was incredibly communicative throughout the entire visit and kept me updated every step of the way. He also took the time to ask thoughtful questions about Rocky beforehand, which helped ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience. It was clear that he genuinely cared about Rocky’s well-being, and I felt completely at ease knowing he was in great hands.

We just moved to Seaport and glad to have found Monica on Rover for our doodle’s daycare. He’s one anxious boy but Monica took great care of him. She’s responsive with communication and sends me photos to ensure he’s enjoying his day with his other daycare buddies. Already booked Monica again for boarding.

Cherie took such amazing care of my pup! Not only did she track the walk they had but played with him and fed him as requested! I love the fact that she took pictures during his visit with her, updated me on his potty breaks and was so happy that we chose her to watch Roman! Thank you Cherie! I know Roman can’t wait to play with you again!!

Linus enjoyed his day with Kiara taking walks, discovering her neighborhood and resting with the cool breeze of the ocean. Kiara was an attentive host that catered to all of his needs and even added some extra belly rubs. She was flexible and a quick communicator. We would love to visit her again.

I needed a pup sitter last minute, and Petra was absolutely amazing! She stepped in right away, kept me updated with the sweetest photos, and treated my pup like their own. I came home to a happy, well-cared-for dog, and I’m so grateful for their kindness and flexibility.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
