About: I love all types of dogs! I have been around dogs my whole life! My family and I rescued my pit bull mix From the animal shelter and named him Tucker 3 years ago. He is such a great dog. I love running around with him in my backyard and taking care of him! I also used to watch my aunts dogs for her all the time throughout my life! I used to go to her house and let them out after school. I also used to dog sit for her when she went on vacation. A lot of my friends and family have dogs that I am around all the time as well! I have been around all sizes of dogs such as terriers, labs, pit bulls, golden doodles, shih tzu’s and many more! I am currently working full-time so I am available after 3pm but with the summer coming up I am working part-time so I will be available in the early mornings and late afternoons. I have a dog of my own who I have taken care of for 5 years now. I will provide your dog with a long walk and the proper care and love they need.

About: I had a shihtzu for 12.5 years that I loved more than anything, but she died, so spending time with other people's beloved pets helps me fill that void. I absolutely love being outside as much as possible and exploring different neighborhoods in the city, so dog-walking newfound fury friends is an adventure that I thoroughly enjoy with all of my heart. I will treat your pet as if it is my own, and as if you are the one doing me a favor. I have been dog-sitting for friends since the passing of my dog and they can attest to my caring nature. I can't wait to be your pet's new best friend! I am new to the area waiting for my full-time Job to begin in the next few months, so my availability is wide open for now. I try to make them as comfortable as possible with me in their home. I cannot take any pets to care for at my apartment.

About: I’ve always had dogs growing up, all with different personalities, so I’m very comfortable adapting to each dog’s unique needs. I’m experienced with feeding routines, walks, playtime, and giving dogs the attention and patience they need to feel safe and happy. In addition, my neighbors have trusted me to board and care for their dogs while they’re away, so I understand how important it is to provide reliable, attentive care and keep pets comfortable in a home environment. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine! I work a 9–5, but I’m remote on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, which gives me plenty of flexibility for walks, feeding, and spending quality time with your dog throughout the day. Even on my busier days, I can adjust my schedule as needed, and I’m able to work from a client’s home if that helps keep your pet comfortable. I always make sure pets get the attention, exercise, and care they need, no matter the day. I try my best to keep their normal schedules that the pups are used to! If your dog stays with me, they’ll get plenty of attention, walks, and opportunities to get outside. I love going for walks so so we can explore the neighborhood or go to a nearby park for them to get fresh air and playtime. If I’m caring for your pet in your home, I stick closely to their usual routine to keep them comfortable. If you have a fenced yard, I’m happy to spend time playing with them and using their favorite toys. No matter where I’m caring for your pet, I make sure they get lots of love, exercise, and attention so they feel safe and happy.

About: I love animals and genuinely enjoy spending time with them. I’ll take care of your dog or cat as if they were my own. I’m also a pet parent myself - I have a British Shorthair cat named Bella, and she means the world to me. Because of that, I completely understand how important it is to feel confident and at ease when leaving your pet with someone else. I have experience walking dogs and caring for pets through Wag, where I hold a 5-star rating. I’ve been doing pet care part-time and have completed a variety of services, including home visits, cat sitting, dog sitting, and daily walks. I’ve also done longer stays (4–7 days), so I’m comfortable handling routines, feeding schedules, and giving pets plenty of companionship. Your pet will be safe, loved, and well cared for with me - and we’ll definitely enjoy our time together. I currently have a very flexible schedule and plenty of availability throughout the week. Since I’m not working full-time right now, I’m able to give your pets lots of attention, playtime, and consistent care. I can easily adjust to your pet’s routine and needs. I always prioritize safety. I make sure doors are closed securely, pets don’t slip outside, and dogs are always taken out on a leash. I follow your feeding instructions exactly and never give pets anything outside their normal diet. I keep their space clean, calm, and comfortable so they feel safe while you’re away.

About: Growing up around animals and recently losing our pup, we miss having a furry friend around. I work from home and can provide all the care your pet needs. I have experience with puppy training, senior dogs, the lazy, the crazy, the small and the big, after surgery recovery, medicine administration. I have a pet loving kid. I board only one client at a time. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule that allows me to provide several walks per day, exercise, play time, snuggles and training. We live in a one story house with a large backyard in a safe family neighborhood, that offers great walking options and is only 10 mins away from the airport. I have a pet loving child who wants to be a vet and occasionally we have some family stay with us.

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Winthrop. On Rover:

  • 90% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
