About: I am a corporate gal with a work from home job who loves pets of all types and sizes. I grew up surrounded by dogs, cats, horses, and chickens and have spent time volunteering at animal shelters and caring for others’ pets since I was very young. I work from home, so my schedule is very adaptable. I take meetings or draft documents all day, with plenty of breaks in between for play time, potty time, or exercise for your pets. Since I am home with your pet while I work, they will be very well supervised. I have experience working and living with escape artists and know how to handle sneaky little friends!
“Yuting has done such an amazing job with my puppy Macy over the last month. She has consistently been on time to take Macy on her weekly walks and goes above and beyond to make sure she has water after the walks and treats to help ease her anxiety prior to her leaving. She is great with communication; always checking in and confirming times for walks. She is very flexible and often is able to accommodate needs on a short notice. She has been nothing short of amazing and I highly recommend her! (P.S. She's great with puppies!)”

About: I’ve been around dogs for most of my life, as my family has always had them. I love playing with dogs, taking them for walks, and helping them enjoy a beautiful day outdoors. I’m currently between jobs, which gives me plenty of flexibility and time to care for your dog. I’m available for walks, playtime, and giving your pet plenty of attention throughout the day. I will keep your dog safe by following your instructions, using a secure leash, staying aware of our surroundings, and providing plenty of exercise, playtime, attention, and affection.
“Haowen took good care of Mochi, was gentle and kind with her, and amochi seemed extremely happy and trusting of him. The building and dog park are very clean. Thanks so much!”

About: I’ve been an animal lover my whole life and have grown up around cats, which has given me a strong understanding of their behavior and needs. I currently have two cats of my own, my babies, who are everything to me. While I don’t have formal pet sitting experience, I’m very comfortable around animals. I regularly spend time with my boyfriend’s family dog and my best friend’s dog, so I’m used to being around different personalities and energy levels. I’m patient, attentive, and genuinely enjoy being around animals. I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, cared for, and loved while you’re away. Caring for pets is already part of my everyday life. I currently have two cats of my own, so feeding, cleaning, playing, and making sure they’re happy and comfortable is a daily routine for me. I’ve also helped care for my family cat in the past, so I’m very familiar with being attentive to different personalities and needs. I genuinely enjoy being around animals and making sure they feel safe, loved, and cared for. I care for my cats as part of my everyday life and make sure they have a safe, happy home environment. I don’t let my cats outside, but I do open windows with proper protection so they can safely enjoy fresh air. They have plenty of toys, a cat tree, high-quality food, and treats. I really focus on giving them comfort, enrichment, and freedom indoors so they can relax and live a happy, stress-free life.
“Tatiana was responsive and I had no issues with her service. However, I would a brief summary of how Enzo did post walk and more than 2 photos. Given the weather these past couple of days I understand the urgency of get through the walk quickly.”

About: I’m a mom of 3 cats ever since I was 20. I learned how to take care of them by their reactions. I also have experience taking care of ill cats. I’m a freelancer work during the day. I’m free before 10am and after 3pm on weekdays. But schedule can change if needed. Weekends are always welcome. I will be very respectful to clients’ properties. And I will record myself the time I’m in the room with their beloved friends. Definitely respect the pets too.
“Samantha is a great communicator and caretaker. Samantha is a regular dogwalker for my medium/large rescue lab/shepherd mix named Tofu, who has some level of anxiety. Samantha always updates me if there are changes in schedule or with Tofu’s behaviors during the walk. Samantha also asks questions and is attentive to Tofu’s needs, and has been building a positive consistent relationship. Thank you, Samantha for giving Tofu the exercise he needs!”

About: Animals have always been part of my life. I grew up surrounded by pets and have experience raising cats and dogs from kitten and puppy stages to adulthood. I am certified by the American Red Cross in cat and dog first aid, and I have experience administering oral, optical, and topical medications to pets. I’m also the proud mom of a sweet 8-year-old cat named Theo. I work remotely, so I have some freedom to come and check on your pets throughout the day. The time I spend caring for them is always the highlight of my day! I know pets feel safest in their own space, so I keep their normal feeding, play, and walk routines while giving them lots of love and company. I treat every home and pet with the same care and respect I give my own.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a kid. I grew up around dogs, currently have a dog, and will probably die with a dog. I’ve also had a plethora of pets including cats, ferrets, parrots, iguanas, hamsters, hermit crabs, and even a sugar glider. Every pet is welcomed in my home. I work from home, so that means I’m pretty much home all day. If I have to leave the house, it’s usually for an a hour or two at most to go to the gym. I’m available any day of the week at any time! I have a yard in the back that is shared with just one neighbor. It’s not fenced, but definitely has room to play and walk around. Inside the home, we have a little old dog who sleeps a lot and will occasionally come out to play.
About: I am new to rover but I have loved dogs my entire life! I was raised with small dogs but every dog size has my heart! I’ve been helping family/friends walk or take care of their own Cats and Dogs if needed for 5 years now! During the school year I am a full time Special Education preschool Substitute teacher, however in the summer, weekends, or after school hours you will find me playing tug of war with my dog, misting my Crested gecko’s tank, feeding my 4 goldfish and aquatic frog, or cuddling my cat! Growing up I would help walk family member's dogs around the neighborhood, and continue to do that with my own dog. I will occasionally help out my aunt with her dogs when she is on a vacation and she needs them to be let out and be fed! I have also helped a friend out who needed someone to look after their cat for a few days, who had to take medication! My cat is more on the shy side so when I do get those moments with him I make sure to play, and cuddle as much as I can sneak in!
“A great sitter! Constantly communicating with me and I received multiple pictures throughout the day for walks. She is also supper flexible and I definitely recommend contacting her to take care of your dogs.”

About: I’ve always loved dogs which makes taking care of them super easy and rewarding! I am pretty flexible when it comes to pet sitting, but I’m happy to have a conversation to make sure I’m the right fit for your needs! I currently have relatively open availability during the week to fit a variety of needs, just let me know! I will also be around on the weekends around the holidays. I’ve worked with all kinds of dogs! While Im certainly not a dog trainer I feel comfortable with a wide variety of temperaments. One of my dogs is a bit of a problem child so Im used to reading body language and such to make sure he is comfortable and I am safe.
“Felipe has been a complete godsend in our lives with our 2 yr old pitty, nena! He is always super responsive, trustworthy and always is so sweet with our pup. We know he treats her with love and as his own when she’s under his care on walks. He consistently leaves us detailed reviews of the walk and tells us how sweet shes been with him, He’s very caring and feel, We’re all lucky to have him. Would absolutely without hesitation refer him to anyone looking for walks or other services that he offers. You and your pup are in great hands 🖤”

“Jamie clearly takes his responsibilities seriously and takes the utmost care of our dog. As first time dog owners, we were nervous to leave our pup in someone else’s care, and how our pup would react to someone else being in the home. Those nerves quickly vanished, and we as well as our puppy enjoy having Jamie come over to walk him and care for him. He is very professional and very caring toward our dog, which is all we could ask for!”

About: Ive always had a great love and passion for animals! I grew up on a farm in southern california and from a young age all the way up till i left my family home I took care of dogs, cows, horses etc! I think my favorite part of all from farming was grooming, and shining the animals; and above all, making sure they were well loved, fed, and taken care of! I was very blessed to have the opportunity to be able to grow up like this and learn so many important skills. I do currently work part time as a server. I am currently in college as well, but I am flexible, through some mornings, some afternoons and some full days! Our family house does not have a very large yard, but we do live in a suburban area where there are lots of nearby parks and hills for walking.
“Adrian was friendly and seems like a great dog walker/sitter for our pup. He took her for a long walk and seemed attentive to her needs - we will definitely use him again for more walks and sitting as well.”

Liliboo has been going on walks with Lynne for quite a while now, and she has been absolutely wonderful with him! He’s always so happy to see her, and Lynne is incredibly reliable, communicative, flexible, and easy to work with. Most recently, I reached out on very short notice because of an unexpected situation, and she was so understanding and accommodating and made it work for us. I’m always so appreciative of how wonderful she is with Liliboo and how much I can count on her!

Sam was wonderful! She was very communicative, helpful, and attentive throughout her time with Mia. She was especially observant of Mia’s habits and behavior and always made sure to let us know if she noticed anything out of the ordinary. We really appreciated how thoughtful and attentive she was, and we would definitely have her watch Mia again!

Ardelia is terrific and has been taking excellent care of our two boys (terriers) Henry and Morgan. Ardelia quickly developed rapport with the boys, and has been excellent in her communication. Always on time and seems to genuinely enjoy our doggos and their quirky personalities. She also gives us informative updates about their walks. We feel fortunate to have Ardelia available to walk our sweet boys and highly recommend her services!

This was our first experience with a dog walker, and Emily was fantastic and went above and beyond what was expected. She has a great way of making puppies feel comfortable with her and you can tell she really cares! She sent us lots of pictures and a summary after each walk which made us completely at ease with the process.

Thank you Suzette for the last minute ask of you!! Brady is doing fine. Just a lot for her to handle and she is also getting used to have a little brother. They are home and resting today. We appreciate how much time and effort you put into taking care of them. You really did a phenomenal job and communicated well We appreciate that!!!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
