About: I am a corporate gal with a work from home job who loves pets of all types and sizes. I grew up surrounded by dogs, cats, horses, and chickens and have spent time volunteering at animal shelters and caring for others’ pets since I was very young. I work from home, so my schedule is very adaptable. I take meetings or draft documents all day, with plenty of breaks in between for play time, potty time, or exercise for your pets. Since I am home with your pet while I work, they will be very well supervised. I have experience working and living with escape artists and know how to handle sneaky little friends!
“Angela has been a lifesaver. She was quick to respond when we needed a last minute, recurring walker and worked around our hectic schedule for a meet and greet. Our two labs absolutely love her and look forward to their morning walks. She’s communicative and considerate and I also look forward to seeing her in the mornings as she has a great personality! She’s a pleasure to work with and we are lucky to have found her. Highly recommend!”

“Hannah is definitely the best walker I have ever met. She is so responsive and sweet, always having a safe and happy walking journey with my doggy. I will always go back to her.”

“Abby is the best. My dogs love her. She is attentive and kind and dependable. Abby even got my 2 senior beagles going on walks every day and it’s been really good for them!”

“Noila was wonderful, she stepped in at the last minute to walk my dog who had gotten sick and needed to be checked on. She was super responsive to changes to the schedule and was prompt with the walk.”

“Heather is amazing with our dogs! She is so patient and has taken the time to get to know their unique personalities- and work with them! Both of our dogs can be a bit vocal on leash, and she has handled them so well. She walks them 3x a week and is always so good at communicating what time she will be there, and how the boys were with her. Highly recommend her for any of your pet care needs!”

“Ailish was amazing with our dog, Coogan! She was kind, communicative, and very flexible, and we always felt confident knowing she was in great hands. Would absolutely book again!”

About: As someone who has cared for the elderly and people with disabilities, I have found that my gentle demeanor also works with animals as well. Currently, I have no pets of my own (hopefully I will get one by next year), but I am a happy dog aunty to a toy poodle named Ruby who I dog sit frequently. I realized from a young age that animals usually gravitate towards me, and my priority is to always make sure these animals feel safe with me as well. As a dog walker/dog sitter I want animals parents to feel rest assured that their furry babies are in for a safe, fun time. My apartment area is spacious as well, and my neighborhood complex has all the safe space for your pets to roam wild. I also have a pet jungle gym here as well for them to use their excess energy. I work from home as a Data analyst so my hours are very flexible. This give me extra time to keep an eye on all the needs of the dogs I take care of. I also have pee pads as well as a small doggy bed in case you’re furry baby is feeling sleepy. Outside, my complex is quite big, allowing your pet ample space to roam wild. We also have a dog playpen/ jungle gym as well that I’m sure they will love.
“Devin has been great with my pup from the start. He is dependable, kind, and responsible. My pup took to him immediately, which is always a good sign! I know my pup is well cared for when Devin is walking him, and I appreciate how trustworthy and consistent Devin has been. I’m truly grateful for his help and would highly recommend him to care for your fur baby as well!”

About: I have had pets since I was a child including birds, guinea pigs, ferrets, cats and dogs. My condo is too small for a pet so I love taking care of pets for family and friends! I work from home 3 days a week so I am able to pet sit or take care of your pet most days of the week. I love to cuddle with animals so they feel comfortable without their owner. I am also very attentive to bathroom breaks and if your pet has something they are not supposed to have.
“Jamie clearly takes his responsibilities seriously and takes the utmost care of our dog. As first time dog owners, we were nervous to leave our pup in someone else’s care, and how our pup would react to someone else being in the home. Those nerves quickly vanished, and we as well as our puppy enjoy having Jamie come over to walk him and care for him. He is very professional and very caring toward our dog, which is all we could ask for!”

About: Hi, I’m Anna—it's great to meet you! I'm based in Malden, MA and serve throughout the area; Malden, Everett, Melrose, Somerville, Medford, and more. I have experience with dogs of all kinds—elderly, reactive, big, small, high-energy, and stubborn—and I bring the patience and care needed to give your best friend the attention they deserve. My own dog, Churro, is a reactive rescue, so I truly understand the extra love and support some pups need. I'll treat your dog like my own, with plenty of play, cuddles, and photo updates to keep you in the loop. Feel free to message me with any questions—I'm available most days and happy to help! I work a flexible schedule so with about a weeks notice I can move my schedule around to make room for you. Unfortunately, because I already have a dog in my home I do not bring my clients dogs into my apartment ! All care is done at the clients home. I am available for dog walks or drop in care most early mornings and evenings. My work schedule can be quite flexible so with a week's booking in advance I likely can make anything work. I provide overnight care at the client's home within a few miles of my home, or drop-in walks (potty breaks, 30 min - 1hr+walks, and/or play sessions. I am proactive in ensuring safety of your pet, a pro at navigating reactivity situations, and can follow any special directions you provide me to a T. I do have my own dog at home , so will be coming and going to take care of her as well for any multi day care.
About: I grew up with dogs around me in my family and have been lucky enough to become an aunt to some of my friends dogs as well! I don't have training skills outside of what I've done to train our family dog. I do have a great understanding and respect for a dogs space and what can trigger them though. I've been around dogs that are rescues and understand that they have been through trauma so I know how much trust needs to be earned. I am willing to be patient and do what I can to make the day easier for you and your pup! I currently work Monday-Friday from 9-5 but my schedule is pretty flexible. I am about to get a walk in when it’s needed and it won’t interrupt my day. I want to make your dog feel comfortable and I want it to be an exciting part of the day. Being still fairly new to this area and not having a pet of my own, I am looking to get some puppy therapy while giving your dog some exercise as well.

About: I’ve always loved dogs which makes taking care of them super easy and rewarding! I am pretty flexible when it comes to pet sitting, but I’m happy to have a conversation to make sure I’m the right fit for your needs! I currently have relatively open availability during the week to fit a variety of needs, just let me know! I will also be around on the weekends around the holidays. I’ve worked with all kinds of dogs! While Im certainly not a dog trainer I feel comfortable with a wide variety of temperaments. One of my dogs is a bit of a problem child so Im used to reading body language and such to make sure he is comfortable and I am safe.
About: I have always had dogs in my home and as a child. I’m here to give your dogs the love and attention they need. Will you enjoy your vacation? I’m available 24 seven to take care of your lovely dogs. I make it simple for you to be able to get away. Enjoy your time and not worry about your pets. I’ll always make sure that your pets are taken out as much as they need. They’ll get plenty of attention playtime. Any special special needs that they have will be taken care of. You get to enjoy your time knowing your picture being safely taken care of and happy.

About: Dog owners and dogs will love the flexibility with my schedule. I love to have fun with the dogs, as I understand they are another family member. I keep them safe and sound. I enjoy long walks, especially during the fall season. When I meet a new dog and their owner, I wait by the door and wait for the dog to come to me. When they come to me I let them sniff my palm and offer them a treat. When I do this it allows the dog to get comfortable around me so we can get ready for our walk. When on the walk with the dog, I go at their pace. Not too fast and not too slow. At the end of the walk when we return, I give the dog a good rub and say goodbye.

Alexa was a superstar!! She was always on time and took amazing care of my energetic dog when I hurt my knee. She also brought up my packages which was super helpful. She is super sweet and I will definitely be using her again or referring her to friends in the future! Thanks again Alexa!

Yesika has been the greatest dog walker! She is responsive and communicative and kind. When I dropped Achilles off for an overnight stay, he was sooooo excited to see her. I already had no doubts that she was a good sitter, and that confirmed it for me and made me feel even better about having her care for my boy!

Danny has been absolutely wonderful with West. From the very beginning, it was clear how knowledgeable and experienced he is with dogs. He takes the time to understand West's personality, needs, and energy level, and it shows in every interaction. Danny is reliable, professional, and genuinely loves what he does. He has also shared helpful insights and advice that have been incredibly valuable. I highly recommend Danny to anyone looking for a trustworthy, knowledgeable, and caring dog walker.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
