“The most supportive and compassionate dog walker , she came right in with my pup who struggles with basic commands and started teaching her and then took her on her first walk and she didnt even pull her because Cheryl is very confident and firm. Im booking her again today! Thank you so much”

“Olivia is great! She was punctual, easy to communicate with, and comfortable walking my 55 pound (one year old) dog, who tends to pull on the leash. I would happily hire her again!”

“Olivia was great! She communicated well which is key! She took Cindy for a nice walk and sent us photos so we new she was getting attention while we were away. Would love to have her again!”

“Very professional, thoughtful and thorough services! I was very happy that I was able to leave my dog home without any worry and he was taken care of very well! Parker (although not into people much) seemed to really like James's energy and went out with him no problem. I hope we will be able to use James' services in the future.”

“Alina has been walking my dog Cooper for 10 months now (time flies apparently) on a consistent schedule. She’s great to work with and if there are scheduling issues she always gives fair notice. Phenomenal person to work with!”

“Noila was very prompt and walked Miles without any issues. She had a last minute adjustment close to the time and had to modify the booking, but she was very apologetic and professional about it. We would definitely use Noila’s services again.”

“Took amazing care of my babies and kept me updated throughout their walk. She was very friendly and my anxious Chihuahuas immediately loved her energy and were pulling to greet her. All around would recommend Sanela!”

About: I have had dogs my whole life and have over 15 years of hands-on experience caring for them. I grew up with my boxer, Calvin, from the time I was 8 years old until he passed away at 13. As he got older, I became experienced in senior dog care, including helping him navigate stairs, giving medication, and caring for him through seizures. While it was heartbreaking, it also taught me how to stay calm and confidently handle medical situations. I have always been very good at reading dogs’ body language and behavior, and I truly love dogs of all sizes. I now have a very high energy, 2 year old boxer named Louie, so I now understand the energy, patience, and consistency that comes with raising and training a puppy😅 Between caring for a senior dog with medical needs and now raising a puppy, I’ve experienced both ends of the spectrum and genuinely enjoy every stage of a dog’s life. I am a 23 year old graduate student living at home and looking for opportunities to walk, play with, and care for your pups! I also work part-time, but I have a pretty flexible schedule to dedicate to giving your pets the attention and care they deserve!! I prioritize the safety of animals above all else. If your dog requires crating, I am experienced in handling that. I’ll always use appropriate equipment such as leashes and harnesses to make sure they are safe during walks. I will also engage in play and interactive activities to keep your pet entertained and mentally stimulated! Your pet's safety and happiness are my top priorities, I will always make sure they are safe and comfortable!
About: I’ve been caring for my in-laws’ Tibetan Terrier for the past few years, and along the way I completely fell in love with pet care. Spending time with Cooper has taught me how special the bond between pets and their people can be, and I truly enjoy giving animals the love, attention, and care they deserve. I can’t wait to welcome and care for more pets as if they were my own! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine since I work from home. I’m able to give pets plenty of attention throughout the day, including regular walks, playtime, feeding, and companionship. Because I’m home most of the time, I can easily adapt to each pet’s schedule and needs, ensuring they feel comfortable, cared for, and never alone. I care for pets as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. In my home or a client’s home, I follow each pet’s routine closely, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any specific instructions provided. I make sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship, and I keep owners updated with photos and messages for peace of mind. Since I work from home, I’m able to be very attentive and responsive to their needs throughout the day.
About: Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up surrounded by dogs, cats, birds, fish, turtles, hamsters, gerbils, and even chickens, and each one taught me something different about patience, joy, and unconditional love. Over the years, I’ve rescued dogs, helped others find their forever homes, and volunteered at shelters and adoption events. I have a soft spot for senior pets and pups with special needs. My dog Dumba is turning 16 this February, and supporting her through her golden years has taught me how to be gentle, attentive, and adaptable. Before Dumba, my dog Cookies bravely fought cancer for many months, and I cared for him through two surgeries and ongoing treatment. Because of experiences like these, I’m comfortable administering medication, monitoring health changes, and giving extra support to pets who need a little more care. I also love working with cats! Since rescuing Zoro when he was only 8 weeks old, I have developed experience with basic grooming, brushing, and keeping litter areas clean and comfortable. Your pets are family, and I’ll care for them with the same love, patience, and attention I give my own. My schedule is flexible, and I’m happy to accommodate your pet’s routine. I'm currently offering daily walks and drop‑in services. I live in Winchester and know the area well, so your dog can enjoy peaceful walks around Horn Pond or fun playtime at Sheepfold Dog Park. I share my home with my senior dog, Dumba, and my goofy cat, Zoro. They’re both used to being around other animals, but my space isn’t large enough to comfortably or safely host additional pets. Because of that, I offer care exclusively in your home, where your pet feels most secure and where their routine stays consistent. When I’m caring for your pet, I follow your house rules and make sure your pet’s environment stays familiar and stress free. My goal is to respect your home, maintain your pet’s routine, and give them attentive, loving care while you’re away.
About: I’ve taken care of cats and dogs for many years. I am available in the afternoon and evening during the week. Also available for weekend days I will be available to take your dog for a walk, or let out or feed and care for any pets that are in your home
“Bethany was great with our dog! She came and walked her while we were away and she was patient and accommodating with our shy girl. I loved getting her updates and pictures! Highly recommended!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Woburn
Rebecca was wonderful! She took the time to come meet Mr. Lahey before care and he immediately could tell she was a true animal lover! Did a wonderful job caring for him, as well, and very good at communicating! Highly recommend Rebecca for all your pet needs haha

Alicia is a fantastic dog walker and human being. Alicia came over first to meet our doggies and asked good questions and was very loving towards both of our dogs (one of whom barks a lot). When we were away and the dogs were at my in-laws, Alicia communicated beautifully with them and most importantly, was very prompt and consistent each day. It can be hard to win them over and Alicia did so with flying colors. We most definitely will ask Alicia to take care of our pups again in the future. Thank you so much, Alicia, for a job well done!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
