“Kerri has been walking Zuko (mostly) daily for about a month and she has been wonderful! We have a flexible schedule and she is extremely responsive, Zuko loves her and has great fun on their walks. She is always prepared with extra poop bags and is always willing to refill his water or feed him lunch or give him a treat before leaving if ever I’ve requested it! If you need a regular walker in the area I’d definitely recommend her!”

“Lori has been so wonderful with our pup! He can be very attached to us at times and she's been so patient with him. Now he is scratching at the door to walk with her when she arrives! We feel so lucky to have Lori as our dog walker and know Maverick is in such good care!”

“Rosemary was wonderful! So communicative and prompt. Always keeping me informed of everything going on. My little guy was a little shy at first so she brought her own dog as a companion and it worked like a charm. She's great!”

About: I have been a pet lover all my life! Because I live in a condo with no yard, my family and I agreed it is not fair to have any pets. As a compromise, we offer to pet sit for our family and friends every chance we get. I have taken care of new born kittens, cats of all ages, small and medium sized dogs as well as blind dogs. I am very comfortable with dogs and truly love them! I love to play, walk and snuggle! As a graduate student I have free time during the day to care for your pets and I live in a pet friendly home for your overnight needs. It would bring me great joy to take care of your pets!
About: Hi! I’m an animal husbandry trainer for seals and sea lions. However, I grew up with dogs, cats, rabbits, and goats! I can’t wait to meet your furry friend. I can also take care of fish and do water quality and system maintenance. I am available all day and night Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday! I also have availability after 6:00pm Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. I work from Thursday-Saturday at an aquarium (7am-4:30). I will make sure that your pet is treated with proper care and attention. If you have a shy animal, I will be happy to be patient, soft voiced, and gentle. If you have a energetic animal I will gladly match their energy!
“Courtney saved us this week after we had a last-minute change of plans. She took excellent care of our doggy, and sent us lots of great pictures. Highly recommend!”

“Frances and Julia did a great job with Marge! They spent extra time hanging out with her after the walk. Marge looked so happy in the photos and we are very appreciative!”

“Madison is great! She was available last minute and did a perfect job with Charlie! He was always well cared for and happy when I got home. She is reliable and caring! Will definitely book again!”

About: I've lived with dogs my entire life and taken care of dogs for the last 10 years. I really enjoy animals and engaging in outdoor activities (long walks, hikes, playing fetch). You can count on me to give your pets all the love and care they need! Available all summer for any of your daily pet needs! I provide regularly scheduled walks and drop-in visits every weekday, all summer long. If your pet is comfortable, I would love to bring them to any walking/hiking trails in the area, transportation included! I always follow the home's instructions, and your pet's comfort is my top priority. I prioritize open communication and am receptive to feedback to ensure your pet's safety and happiness.
“Daniela was such a pleasure walking our Great Pyrenees, Colby!!! He gets SO excited to see her and would come back in such a good mood. She provided excellent updates each walk and always on time and highly communicative. HIGHLY recommend Daniela!”

“Tanya was so sweet, reliable and flexible. We arrived home to a happy, calm pup. She communicated often and sent some cute photos! Highly recommend Tanya for your pet sitting needs!”

“Very professional, thoughtful and thorough services! I was very happy that I was able to leave my dog home without any worry and he was taken care of very well! Parker (although not into people much) seemed to really like James's energy and went out with him no problem. I hope we will be able to use James' services in the future.”

“Noila was very prompt and walked Miles without any issues. She had a last minute adjustment close to the time and had to modify the booking, but she was very apologetic and professional about it. We would definitely use Noila’s services again.”

“Dylan is just awesome. I moved to my apartment and under last minute circumstances I needed someone to take care of my Dog, Jolene, while I work long hours. He stepped right up and put my mind at ease. He made sure she was comfortable and even helped get her to eat her food! (Had some anxiety after moving) 10/10 recommend!”

“I was a nervous wreck leaving my fully work from home job to move to an office because I was scared to leave our pup, but Ying has been 100% on the ball. She is professional and communicative. Can’t recommend her highly enough through her first week with our dog!”

About: Hi everyone! I am an active dog lover who is excited to take care of your fur babies! I am very active so there will be lots of walks and hikes (unless not wanted). We also have a large fenced in back yard and great dog waking neighborhood. We also have a 2 year old Golden who gets along well and is around other dogs often. Looking forward to connecting. Any questions - don’t hesitate! I worked in the corporate world for 20 years and am fortunate to have the opportunity to take a year off and do what I love! I have a large fenced in yard, a 2 year old Golden Retriever and 3 kids. Husband is also a dog lover as his mother breeder German Shephards when he was a child. We “live” in our home but would require the dog be house trained (unless. Puppy).

Fernanda is the best dog walker! She treats our dog like she’s her own and is very communicative with us when she has Piper. We get plenty of pictures and updates while they’re together. She took the time to come meet Piper before she started walking her which put us at ease to see how they interacted together so well before walks! 10/10 would recommend

Alicia is a fantastic dog walker and human being. Alicia came over first to meet our doggies and asked good questions and was very loving towards both of our dogs (one of whom barks a lot). When we were away and the dogs were at my in-laws, Alicia communicated beautifully with them and most importantly, was very prompt and consistent each day. It can be hard to win them over and Alicia did so with flying colors. We most definitely will ask Alicia to take care of our pups again in the future. Thank you so much, Alicia, for a job well done!

I highly recommend Sophia! She's reliable and responsible. Her energy is gentle and positive. My girl, who has horrible separation anxiety, is slow to trust usually, but never looked back when Sophia offered a walk. It is a huge comfort to have someone as trustworthy as Sophia.

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Reading. On Rover:
- 90% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
