“Penny loved staying with Monica! She was safe and well taken care of! We received pictures everyday and she helped her settle in so we didn’t have to worry while we were away. Definitely will use her again! Thank you Monica!!”

“Jennifer is the best that could have happened to our puppy. She is incredibly caring, attentive and responsible. She was constantly in touch with us and sent photos. She treated everything the puppy needed with understanding and great attention. Highly recommend Jennifer for your dog.”

“Jessica was amazing at taking care of my pet and he loved staying with her family! She gave updates and pictures periodically which made my vacation go smoothly and I was very much happy and relaxed with it! Would definitely recommend and book again next time!”

“Akhil and his wife were great, accommodating for our 12-yr-old girl (Maddie). Communication was easy and Akhil sent lots of photos to document her day. Thank you for taking her at slightly late notice!”

“It was such a relief booking with with her. She was able to take my dog last minute and catered to both of their personalities. She went above and beyond what I need her to do and definitely exceeded all my expectations. To the point, my dogs didn’t even wanna leave her. She accommodated them in every way for sure. Kept me updated with pictures and made the pick up and drop off very smooth. I can’t wait to book with her again. And I’m sure they would love to see her again as well.”

“We have never left Lady as long as we did for our most recent trip, and we could never have had the piece of mind to leave her, if she was with anyone but Elliott! Her tail wags from start to finish! We are so grateful for Elliott's daily updates with pictures of our beautiful girl :)”

About: +9 Pet care experience includes hands-on tasks like feeding, walking, grooming, and administering medication, along with behavioral management and safety monitoring. Relevant experience ranges from volunteering at shelters to professional pet sitting, overnight care, and managing specialized needs for senior or anxious pets I work from home with a flexible active lifestyle. “Janette and her family were so welcoming and loving with my dog, Ridley. We got lots of updates and photos of her enjoying her stay, and felt completely at ease leaving her in their care.”

“Alex is wonderful with my elderly dog, Zoe. I appreciate the peace of mind knowing that he's taking great care of her and she's so happy on her own vacation with him. Thank you, Alex!”

“Betsy and her family were wonderful hosts for our pup. Betsy sent pics and videos, and Ronja seemed to have a fantastic time. Great communication, we felt safe leaving our dog in Betsy's care.”

“Ariane and her family were wonderful with our sometimes-anxious cockapoo, Millie who spent 10 days with them while we were out of the country. She went for walks alongside Ariane's two dogs, lay in the sun on the fenced deck, joined Ariane in the car on errands and fully participated in their family life. Ariane was great at sending frequent updates which were much appreciated. Millie seemed relaxed and happy when I picked her up - she will definitely be a returning guest!”

“Guillermo was awesome. He was flexible with our drop off and pick up times, sent us plenty of updates and our pup came home exhausted from his stay (the best possible outcome!). I would totally book with him again.”

“Chanel was an amazing host for our senior Shih Tsu, Kody. She made Kody feel right at home. She’s a natural caregiver, but also followed all the instructions and care tips we provided (morning meds, feeding, walks, etc.). Chanel was super communicative and made sure that we were updated during Kody’s stay. What a relief for us! (Thank you, Chanel. We’ll be back).”

“Carol is fantastic! Our pup stayed with her for February vacation week and had a blast. She was very quick and kind with her communications — and sent pictures and videos throughout our vacation. Our flight was delayed, and she was very accommodating about adding an extra night for us. Will definitely book again if she’ll have us!”

“We gave Danielle very little notice for a week stay for our terrier mix as our travel plans had changed. Danielle was calm and gracious and sent lots of photos. Winston came back to us relaxed and happy. So pleased to have found her and will continue to book with her in the future. Thank you so very much!”

“I found Wendy last minute before we had to leave on our trip. She was very accommodating and communication was great! During our trip Wendy would send us photos and videos. Since Luna is only 4 months and this was our first time leaving her we were a little nervous but Wendy took that away. Since Luna was still learning to pee/poo outside Wendy was really great about bringing her out and making sure she was okay. Highly recommend and we will definitely book again! Luna had an amazing time and made new friends! Thanks Wendy!”

“Solange & Luciana are our go-to Rovers, they love and care for Leo just like we do at home and most importantly, Leo loves them too! Have sent our pup there several times, they have a beautiful clean home and follow all care instructions, also get daily pictures/videos, will continue to use their services in the future as well! Definitely recommend”

“Séamus took wonderful care of Maybelle during our extended time away! He was very friendly and responsive and sent daily updates, photos and videos. I could tell that Maybelle was being treated very well - like part of the family. It set my mind at ease. She also got along well with Séamus' dog. We would definitely love to book with Séamus again in the future!”

Marcia is spectacular. She offers everything you hope for when leaving your pup. It’s our first time with her and the 3rd place I’ve tried with my wheaten because of his anxiety. He did really well and found himself a second home where his fun, playful side shone. I highly recommend Marcia. Thank you Marcia. 🙏

Maria was amazing. She was so thoughtful and kind to me and Theo. She sent daily photos and took extra care of Theo when he felt anxious about the fireworks. She hand fed him until he felt comfortable. Although I do think he loved all the attention she gave to him. She really spoiled him and I think he is missing her and Gracie. Definitely will be using Maria as often as possible.

Mandy is cheerful and easy-going. She provided photos of my pet regularly and confirmed that meals were consumed (since our pet refuses to eat at times) and exercise was given. The fenced yard and deck are ample for fresh air breaks and Ruby seemed very much at home during her stay.

Victoria and family took great care of our dogs for the week while the rest of my family took a vacation. She sent lots of pictures and updates, and was quick to respond when I asked to updates. She was also very flexible about pickup and drop off times. The dogs seemed to have a good time, and Victoria will be going on our list of people to reach out to again next time we need dog sitting. Thank you!

This was our first time using Rover and leaving Piper with someone other than family/friends. We couldn’t have picked a better family to trust her with. Kim sent lots of updates, even one just a few minutes after we left to let us know Piper was already having fun playing with a ball in the fenced in backyard. Piper got lots of love from Brian and the kids too, as evidenced by their coming to say bye to Piper before we left and the fact that Piper came home exhausted (awesome for an Aussie). Their dog, Daisy, was sweet and friendly from the moment they were off leash together. We would definitely rebook with this wonderful family again!

Heather took great care of my goldendoodle (Riva) for a weekend. Heather was very communicative and shared pictures and updates throughout the stay, and it was comforting to see Riva looking so relaxed and at home. She seemed to fit right into Heather's family! I would definitely recommend Heather to others.

Everything went absolutely wonderfully with Olivia and Adam. We left our dog Chelsie with them for a long stay of about 2.5 weeks, and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Chelsie can be a bit anxious when staying with someone new, and to be honest, we were anxious too. We know all the little quirks and routines of our dog, but of course it’s impossible to explain every tiny detail ahead of time. Still, they handled everything incredibly well and made her feel comfortable very quickly. They constantly sent photos and updates, which I was extremely grateful for because it allowed us to actually relax and enjoy our trip without worrying. It was very clear from the updates that Chelsie was happy, comfortable, and having her own little vacation. At one point we joked that she might not even want to come back home after staying with them. Highly recommend them, especially if you’re nervous about leaving your dog for a longer stay.

Luke is amazing! This was our third time leaving our pup Peanut with Luke and Peanut had a great time. Luke took Peanut on a winter hike and cared for him so well. We are grateful that Luke was available given how much our pup loves staying at Luke’s. Our pup literally ran to Luke when we dropped him off :) thanks again Luke for taking such good care of Peanut and for sending regular updates :)

Vibutesh took really good care of Ori during a last minute booking we had. He sent us frequent updates and accomodated all of our requests for Ori. He was also very flexible with timings and such. I highly recommend Vibutesh and would definitely book him again for Ori !

We could tell that Stella enjoyed her time with Betsy & Gordon and their children. We were very selective in our selected sitters leading up to our European vacation. This was our first out of the country vacation away from Stella. Betsy and Gordon provided us with great communication leading up to the booking, and great communication throughout. Easing my fur momma worries. We hope that Stella will visit again soon!

We’ve tried other sitters on Rover, but this was by far the best! Their spacious, fenced backyard was perfect and our dogs absolutely loved it there. Our dogs can sometimes get overly excited meeting new people and dogs, but both them and their dog, Newton, were so gentle and accommodating. They sent tons of photos and videos throughout the day, so we never worried for a second. Our pups had an amazing time - honestly seemed a bit sad when they got home! It truly felt like a little vacation for them, and we will definitely be back!!🤍

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
