“Rylee and roommate, Megan, did a great job caring for our dog, Scout. They are young women, very responsible, with a good space and ability to care for dogs while travelling. Walking paths and open areas for the dogs to walk and explore nearby. Thumbs up!!”

“This is not my first visit to Marilyn’s as my dog has stayed with her before. When I dropped her off this time, Maddie ran right to Marilyn’s husband, wagging her tail so hard I thought it she was going to take flight! Maddie loves staying with them. I think she sees it as visiting family! I have complete confidence in Marilyn and feel so lucky to have found such a wonderful place for her to stay when needed. She is a super nice person too. I would give her 10 stars if I could!”

“Our pup was happy in every picture & very excited but quickly calm when she got home, which to me says that she was happy to be home, but didn’t feel nervous at Aurora’s home! Aurora also was diligent to make sure our counter surfing, sneaky dog didn’t get human food during her stay. We will definitely book with Aurora again!”

“This was Luna’s first stay with Lori and I knew she was in great hands. Lori has a great set up with a fenced in yard and lives in a nice, quiet neighborhood. Lori was amazing at communicating, sending lots of pics and updates and making sure I knew Luna was safe and having lots of FUN! Lori took her on lots of adventures and took videos to show me real-time action. Lori also went above and beyond when Luna lost her Fi GPS device and Lori tracked it down by retracing steps and finding it in the woods. I highly recommend Lori and will absolutely be partnering with her again to watch Luna for me!”

“Francois was extremely communicative and took great care of our pup while we were traveling. He made me feel confident that she was well cared for and loved while we were gone. She returned home happy and healthy.”

“Arnav is great with communication from the beginning and throughout. He provided pictures and updates throughout the stay. His family has a nice fenced-in back yard. He and his family seem to love dogs and have enjoyed our pup. We have a pretty large play pen that our pup is comfortable sleeping in, and Arnav and his family were very flexible with the setup (we set the pen up in their dining room). Highly recommend him!”

“Bella always looks forward to staying with Rob and his family. She is happy with the home environment, and likes her walks and having a few other dogs there to make friends with. Thanks, Rob!”

“I can’t say enough about the care Bailey received while we were away. I never for a second doubted he was having a great time and being taken in as a member of this family. Thank you so much!!”

“Thor had a great stay with Michelle! He played well and enjoyed his walks. We weren’t worried about Thor at all while he was staying with Michelle. We would use her again.”

“The moment I stepped into Rob and Emily’s home I could feel the loving environment my dog (Koro) would experience. Needless to say my usually anxious Koro felt immediately at home, was very relaxed and came home very happy (of course she was very glad to see me and very enthusiastic too.. but that’s a Beagle for you!). I would highly recommend Emily & Rob and wouldn’t hesitate to have her board with them again when the need arises!”

“Danielle and her family took such great care of Jameson while we were away. She sent us picture updates throughout the weekend which were so nice to see when we missed him. When we picked Jameson up, he was happy to see us but I could tell sad to leave her husband! Thank you so much for taking such great care of him, and we will definitely be booking with you again.”

“Hello. This is a first-rate, dog care experience, folks. Séamus hosted my dog for a brief meet-&-greet prior to his stay, which was successful and excellent. Séamus, overall, is very thoughtful and thorough in his preparation and concern for your dog, and is an excellent communicator while you are away. Séamus is clearly a “dog person”, and it shows. There is a lovely, enclosed, safe backyard for your dog to play and stretch-legs, and, I honestly can say, …..I didn’t worry about my dog once. I received photos of my dog and also received updates periodically while I was away. Excellent service! Charlie came home happy, healthy, rested and in great spirits! A+ Thank you, Séamus”

“Ashley and her family took great care of our dog Rigby for a week. We received lots of happy pics and updates, and he always seemed very content. Drop-off and pick-up were smooth/easy and her communication was great. Would highly recommend Ashley, and will certainly plan to book with her in the future.”

“We went on vacation for a week and Obi had a wonderful stay with Barbara and Jen. He stayed active and played with other dogs. Obi is sometimes a picky eater and they managed really well.”
“Patrick is so helpful and accommodating! He accepted my urgent booking with just one day's notice and really helped to solve my issue. Pamela was well taken care of and happy when I returned. I couldn't be more grateful for Patrick's flexibility and excellent care. Highly recommended!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Woburn
It was Bella's first time with Deborah and Ralph and she had an enjoyable time. They made her feel right at home. Every day they sent a message on how she was doing. When I picked her up she was so happy and relaxed. I will definitely have them watch Bella again for me.

Booking with Noila was a great experience. She took amazing care of our two cats, kept us updated with cute photos every day, and was highly communicative. It’s such a relief to know your pets are in good, capable hands. We will definitely be reaching out to her again for future needs!
Link and Ken took very good care of our golden retriever. I especially like that they take on walks and that they have a dog of some their own. Cindy likes to be with other dogs. Cindy is afraid of thunder storms and they were very patient with her. I will definitely use them again.

Yang was so great with our dog! We got daily updates with pictures and videos. She was also so wonderful to us, our flight was canceled and rescheduled for 2 days later. Luckily we were able to get out the following night but Yang was so accommodating and kind while we were in a state of worry. Lucky will be back in a few weeks for a second stay!

Kayla was absolutely amazing with our two dogs! 🐾 She was reliable, communicative, and clearly cared so much about them. We received regular updates and photos, which gave us great peace of mind. Our dogs were happy, relaxed, and very well cared for when we returned. We would absolutely book with Kayla again and highly recommend her! 🐶❤️

Courtney is amazing! She watched our boy Brody for 3 nights and we couldn’t be happier with her care. She has a kind nature and I felt instantly comfortable with her. She took him for multiple walks each day and sent us many pics and updates. He was even sad when we left her, which was a true sign he was in good hands. We will hire Courtney again without hesitation!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
