“Lori took great care of our 8 month old pup! She was super responsive and sent lots of pictures & updates. It was so nice having peace of mind knowing Maya was being well cared for while we were away!”

“Luke was the best dog sitter for our Jack Russell Terrier! He went above and beyond when our flight home was canceled and was able to accommodate. He was extremely thorough with communicating to us and providing photos of our pup which made us feel so grateful to have someone who loves dogs. We would recommend Luke without hesitation and look forward to having Luke care for our dog again!”

“I cannot thank this family enough for the incredible care they provided. In a moment of high stress—when my wife went into labor at the last minute—they stepped in and looked after our senior dog, Otoko, without hesitation. Otoko is 16 years old and has a variety of medical issues that require a lot of patience and specialized attention. They didn't just "watch" him; they treated him like a member of their own family. They were incredibly attentive to his needs, taking him for gentle walks and even hand-feeding him to ensure he was getting his meals. Throughout the stay, they sent frequent pictures and videos, which gave us such immense peace of mind while we were at the hospital. Knowing he was being so well-loved and attended to allowed us to focus on our new arrival. If you are looking for sitters who truly love dogs and will go above and beyond for a senior pup with extra needs, look no further. They are an extraordinary family!”

“Ashley was wonderful! Our dog seemed to have a great time with her and her family and came home happy and tired-out. Looking forward to having her in Ashley’s care again the next time we’re in need!”

“Miley stayed with Aurora for 4 nights while I was away on a vacation. Her pup Madi and Miley became BFF’s. She sent regular updates and she was very prompt and quick responding to my texts. Miley is my daughter and I’m very nervous leaving her at someone’s place. But Aurora did a a great job taking care of Miley and treated her like her own pup. I would definitely like Miley to have her next vacation at her place. Adding to this their pup Madi is a wonderful dog very friendly.”

“Katherine was wonderful with my dog! We did a meet and greet before the stay and my dog was so excited to see her when I dropped her off for the extra long weekend! I would highly recommend Katherine!”

About: I grew up in Burlington, Vermont surrounded by dogs and have had them nearly my entire life. Today I have two Mini Australian Shepherds, Rosie and Chili, who keep me on my toes with their high energy, intelligence, and need for constant engagement. Because of them, I’m very comfortable caring for active breeds that require structured exercise, mental stimulation, and consistent routines. Our days include long walks, outdoor adventures, puzzle toys, tug-of-war, training reinforcement, and plenty of playtime balanced with calm downtime. A fun piece of my background — my mom bred Mini Aussies for six years, and I actually helped deliver and care for many of the litters. From puppies to senior dogs, I understand behavior, body language, and how to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I treat every dog like they’re part of my own pack. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because my lifestyle already revolves around my own dogs. Working from home helps a lot with this. I’m active, reliable, and organized, which allows me to provide dependable care whether that means drop-ins, walks, or extended stays. I take time to learn each dog’s personality, routines, triggers, and comfort level before care begins. In a client’s home, I respect established routines to keep pets feeling secure and stress-free. I closely supervise play, use secure leashing practices, and maintain awareness of surroundings during walks. With experience raising high-energy working breeds, I understand the importance of both physical exercise and mental stimulation to prevent anxiety or destructive behavior. I work in sales and constantly have my phone on me. I usually respond immediately unless I am in a meeting.

“Michael was absolutely fabulous with my dog Riley. He sent me daily updates and took her on plenty of walks and adventures. He clearly cared about her well-being and was very thoughtful and accommodating about Riley’s specific needs. His kids were also so great with Riley. Highly recommend him to anyone looking for a dog sitter, he is truly the best!”

“Kathy was so accommodating and responsive! And she sent pictures of Frankie all day long to keep us posted. It was Frankie’s first experience in a house with cats so we were a bit worried, but everything worked out great and all the animals lived in harmony. We will definitely book again!”

“We went on vacation for a week and Obi had a wonderful stay with Barbara and Jen. He stayed active and played with other dogs. Obi is sometimes a picky eater and they managed really well.”
“Chanel was very responsive and sent lots of photos throughout the weekend. Making sure I knew the dogs were happy! The dogs came back so happy from our trip and that was so great to see!”

“My dog stayed with Luciana and her Mom for a week. It was a great fit for him because there were always people around and he doesn’t like to be alone. They sent pics daily and they gave him plenty of walks. I felt very comfortable leaving my baby with them and would do it again.”

“Xiuping is an amazing and responsive dog sitter! She sent me lots of pictures and messages throughout the stay, showing how well my dog was being taken care of. This definitely set my mind at ease, knowing and seeing that my dog was having a great time with her family. Dog care instructions were followed very well and she was able to accommodate my last minute requests. I will absolutely be recommending Xiuping to my friends and will have her and her family watch my dog again!”

Likun took very good care of our 43 lb Bernedoodle. She was very patient when he became homesick and was professional and reliable at every interaction. She genuinely has an interest in caring for animals and is detail-oriented when coordinating their care. She also provided photos and videos for peace of mind that our boy was healthy and happy. We would rely on Likun again without question.

Andrea was AMAZING! I never had to worry about Enzo at all, I knew he was in great hands. Andrea was a great communicator, sent updates and photos, took him on walks and played fetch (his favorite thing ever) and treated him as if he was hers. The only thing I worried about was if he was going to want to come back home with me! Highly recommend!

Fantastic dog sitter! They took wonderful care of my dog and sent daily photos that showed how happy and relaxed he was. Her dog is very friendly and welcoming, and the two got along great. I felt confident that my dog was in gods hands and would definitely use their services again.

It was our first time leaving our 1yo puppy with a new family. He spent 4 nights with her and had a great time. Nicole was very kind, very understanding of his special needs and treated him to a great adventure on a beach. Could not have asked for a better family to leave our doggie. Thank you Nicole!

Booking with Noila was a great experience. She took amazing care of our two cats, kept us updated with cute photos every day, and was highly communicative. It’s such a relief to know your pets are in good, capable hands. We will definitely be reaching out to her again for future needs!
Yang was so great with our dog! We got daily updates with pictures and videos. She was also so wonderful to us, our flight was canceled and rescheduled for 2 days later. Luckily we were able to get out the following night but Yang was so accommodating and kind while we were in a state of worry. Lucky will be back in a few weeks for a second stay!

Kayla was absolutely amazing with our two dogs! 🐾 She was reliable, communicative, and clearly cared so much about them. We received regular updates and photos, which gave us great peace of mind. Our dogs were happy, relaxed, and very well cared for when we returned. We would absolutely book with Kayla again and highly recommend her! 🐶❤️

Courtney is amazing! She watched our boy Brody for 3 nights and we couldn’t be happier with her care. She has a kind nature and I felt instantly comfortable with her. She took him for multiple walks each day and sent us many pics and updates. He was even sad when we left her, which was a true sign he was in good hands. We will hire Courtney again without hesitation!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
